He stated that you need to figure out what your ideal match or business partner would be like, what exact qualities do you want in your new business partner and seek out  prospects with those attributes.

Secondly Darren suggest to list in your  MLM Recruiting plan the key initiatives your new prospect will  have to  accomplish when they join your team and know this before you go out and look for them.

Next, and I Love this suggestion…..write down in a  detailed job description what kind of person would be best in your organization.  This is a great exercise because  it will get you really clear about what specifically you need and what success in your business looks like.  It will give you a roadmap for what needs to be done once they join your MLM business .  He goes on to say to write a Mission Statement and what it is going to take to
achieve thisMission.

…are  that it will help you clearly identify who you are looking for. If you don’t know who you are looking  for you will not know it when you run into them.  It is more efficient to find someone who already has the key attributes you are looking for then to try to train someone to learn these qualities.

…is to list all the attributes, attitudes and mindsets one needs to work to be successful in your business.

Know that you are looking for, a sharp individual who is  a friendly outgoing person and who has the desire to  help others achieve success, then you can ask other people if they know anyone who has these qualities and that you would appreciate if you can send them your way.  This will enable you to  get free referrals to recruit into your business.

Here are some suggestions for  attributes you can seek in individuals for your MLM Business

Professionally polished

Love to be of service to others

A leader

Someone who is a good presenter or public speaker

When you talk to these referral,  you can start out the conversation by saying –  “I was told that you are a self starter, very sharp and assertive individual who is always looking to make more money or what every attributes you are seeking and start your conversation from there.”

People would love to share how they have these great characteristic and it opens the door to find out if they have a need or desire for change in their lives and to be a part of your business.
Some people do suggest using use the “FORM Technique” to really get to know this person and uncover what their needs and desires are.

And rightly so.

MLM recruiting is many things, but after 25 years in this great profession, I have come to the conclusion that there is ONE definition of MLM Recruiting that truly will define it as well as broaden the possibilities of it.

No, mlm recruiting is NOT a scam, or a way to earn money off of people.

Far from it.

MLM Recruiting is simply:

” The process of finding, educating, selecting, and helping the right people to take control of their future by owning their their own business.”

THAT is what MLM Recruiting is.

MLM Recruiting is a PROCESS- step by step- of educating the prospect about what your business is all about and then helping them decide if this is for them or not.

MLM Recruiting is about Finding, Educating, and Selecting. You prospect and FIND people to talk to, and educate them about what you have to offer, then select the ones that are right for this profession. They will identify who they are, and who they are not.

MLM Recruiting is about Helping the right people. Your goal is TO HELP people…but the RIGHT people who this business is FOR. There are people that your business is NOT for, and your job is to sift and sort through them to find the right ones.

MLM Recruiting is about Taking Control  of your future. Control is critical to have of you ever want to establish wealth in your life. It is taking control of your time, actions, and where your future is headed.

MLM Recruiting is about owning your own business.  You are recruiting prospects into your business because you want to help them own THEIR own business. It is about owning a business you work out of your home.

How does MLM Recruiting work?

It basically is a 4 step by step process:

1. Find.

You need to find people to talk to, and they are everywhere. You need to find the RIGHT people.

2. Educate.

You must create the exposures that will educate the prospect on what you do and what the whole vision is about. This can be done face to face, over the web, on social media, mobile recruiting, or in a public gathering, or in a home. It can vary, but the education process must take place, and it may take more than one exposure.

3. Follow Up.

You need to reconnect with the prospect and see where they are with what they have seen.

4. Select.

Often called “closing” I believe it is more that you select the people that you want to work with and with that mindset, you will find the right people in mlm recruiting.

People have a sense about things. They sense a LOT from your communications as well as your intentions foucne inside of your communications. It is all subconcious. They “sense” thungs abiut you in the “gut” and that determines much of the picture they paint of you in their minds.

What kind of picture are they “painting” of you as a network marketer or direct sales professional?

And from that sensing and that picture, they can tell quickly what you are really up to, and whether they want to talk to you or not.

MLM Holiday Recruiting.

If you could hold a get together for your mlm prospects over the holidays and recruit them ALL from ONE MEETING-would that be of help?

Yes, online meetings are possible too and we will cover that in another post, but LIVE face to face meetings during the holidays are CRITICAL as well as part of the holiday tradition.

It is called a “Get Together” and NOT a “meeting” as that is the “feel” it needs and also the focus it needs. “Meeting” often sends the wrong signal to the home business prospect. And they often think, “What do THEY want from me?”  The term “get together” signals that is will be fun, friendly, and just some folks that are getting together to enjoy the holiday season. and that is what you want.

You want a NO AGENDA FEEL to the meeting and non-threatening. But if you do this Holiday Get Together right, you will recruit many folks during this meeting, as we did this for years.

The Holidays and especially Christmas, are known for the family time, as well as parties and get togethers. So this little holiday secret can work well within the culture of the holiday season.

How does this Get Together work?

Like any other gathering.

1. You pick a location to meet and gather with your team and guests.

Often this can be a restaurant that has a back room you can meet. A Starbucks would work, as well as someone’s home, but the best is a luncheon place you can grab a sandwich.

2. You celebrate the holidays with music playing and a festive feel to it.

Here is where you simply celebrate the holidays with people and good times. BUT- you talk about the next year and all it has to hold for the future, and how you are looking so forward to it. 

3. Ask what each person attending wants to CHANGE in 2012 and WHY. Have them write it down if you have time and sheets of paper.

Get them talking about change. Ge them talking about what they are dissatisfied in life about. Get them to talk about the PERFECT YEAR and what 2012 would look like if it was.


4. Talk to them about needing a PLAN.

P = POSSIBILTY MAKER.  They need something that is going to make the perfect year POSSIBLE.

L = LOVE. Talk to them about LOVING their life in 2012 and not just LIVING it. “Wouldn’t it be awesome to LOVE your life in 2012 and not just go through the motions of living it?”

A = ACTION. It is NOT going to happen if you are NOT taking action on something that will help them GET THERE.

N = NEW. Usually to LOVE life, you gotta do something NEW and do it NOW.

Then talk OPTIONS and what they have in their life to make 2012 the BEST YEAR they have ever had. Most have FEW options you will find.

Ask this question: “Are you wanting to be in a position next year NOT having to worry about income?”

Then simply say that you not sure what that NEW THING or Action would be, but you and your team would help them achieve their dreams in 2012 in any way possible.

THEN move on to giving out small gifts of SUCCESS. This could be “As a Man Thinketh” book by James Allen or a CD on Success. AND give away a CD of Holiday or Christmas music as well. Use your creativity.  And at the end- meet the guests, and set up a time you get together with them individually with your team member that invited them.

This traditional method of creating a Holiday Recruiting Frenzy has proven to work and work well. I would encourage you to loo at doing this during the holidays, and if you do NOT have a big team, invite your friends and ask them to bring a guest.

This will increase your ability to build your business during a traditionally low activity season for the home business mlm profession.
