What are the 5 secrets?

Well, successful branding begins with a focused, well thought out, and well-defined brand that is RELEVANT to your particular market and niche. You might think that since you have a slogan or great logo, or even tagline, stationary, and business card, you’ve completed your personal branding and are ready to ROCK!

Nope, don’t think so. 

You see, unless you’ve carefully thought out, pondered, masterminded, considered and defined ALL five of the essential key branding elements—position, promise, personality traits, story, and association—you still have work to do to create a brand that will become known in the marketplace with your home business.

And, until you’ve connected your brand into every possible are in social media, online marketing, and offline marketing,  and then built the discipline of CONSISTENCY and TRUST into every behavior you display, action you take, or communication you send out–you are not yet on the path to a successful personal brand in network marketing.

Here are Five Key Branding Elements you MUST have to build a million dollar personal brand:

 

1. Your Brand Position.

This is the part of the personal brand that describes what your home business does and for whom it does, what your unique and one of a kind value is and how a customer benefits from working with you in your business or your product/service, and what key differences you have from any competition.

Once you’ve thought out and defined your personal brand position, write it out in 2 sentences, a paragraph, and then a 200 word “Personal Branding Summary.” This will help DEFINE and FOCUS your personal brand.

 

2. Your Brand Promise. (This is THE GOLD in your Personal Brand.) 

This the single most important thing that your home based business promises to deliver to its customers—EVERY time. How do you discover that? To come up with your personal brand promise, think about  what possible customers and team members should expect from every interaction, communication, and connection with you as a Leader.

Every decision should be weighed and related against this Personal Brand promise to be sure that a) it fully reflects and gives the Value of the promise, or b) at the very least it does not harm the promise of our personal brand.

 

3. Your Brand Personality.

The Traits of your brand- whether numerous or only a few –  illustrate what you want your personal brand to be known for. Stop and think about specific and targeted personality traits you would like your mlm prospects, customers, and team members to use to describe your network marketing organization. You should strive for 5 traits,  which describe the “perfect customer” and the “perfect team member.

What do they look like and what would you like them to be like?

 

4. Your Brand Story.

Your Personal Brand Story tells the story your home business story, your parent company’s history where you get your products, along with how the history adds and increases value and extreme credibility to your personal brand.

Do NOT be afraid of telling some of the struggles and stories you have gone through. People can relate to that.

Your Personal Beand Story also usually includes a summary of your products or services and what your business has done for others (testimonials.)

 

5. Your Brand Associations.

These associations  (or what the brand is reflected by) that are the specific physical elements that make up your personal brand and what people SEE, FEEL and EXPERIENCE with it This is WHAT is associated with your brand and the “colors of it” if you will.

This is your name, logo, colors, memes, taglines, fonts, layout,  images, etc. Your personal brand associations must reflect ands radiate your brand promise, ALL of your brand traits, and support your brand positioning statement or summary

NOTE:

Once you’ve developed and defined a relevant personal brand, you must begin building the brand with customers, prospects, team members, etc. through CONSISTENT engagement of the brand and everything it stands for.

Branding Secret: Relentless Nonstop Repetition is key to the success of the branding process.

It’s easy to give in and be less than the brand promises “just this one time,” because you’re busy building your home business, recruiting, or because you think no one will notice.

THEY WILL.

You can destroy a brand within days that took you years to build.

No one will ever really know or remember what your brand stands for or represents or even is, unless it is the EXACT SAME every time they are exposed to it online or offline. Without relentless consistency, “magnetic eyeball pulling brand awareness” becomes nearly impossible to achieve, no matter how much resources, energy,  or time you spend on marketing.

 And your good brand identity—that you spent so much time developing, building, and defining—begins to look more unreliable in many ways.

To help ensure you build the habit of consistent brand execution in your network marketing home business , I suggest that you write down your essential Brand Elements in a “Branding Log” and study it.

Show it to your leaders and team members and get them to do the same thing for their own Personal Brand. Then you can become your company’s main brand ambassador and start sharing your personal brand with anyone and everyone that you talk to, and connect with on facebook, twitter, or LinkedIn, or Google+.

Are you focused on creating content for your network marketing home business?

Are you blogging and filming videos daily to create content so prospects will engage your writing so they may contact you for your MLM home business?

Content is King.

Content is what has been driving the internet for over 20 years. It has been in many forms and especially in the beginning of the internet. It was quite simple and quite different than it is today.

Social Media  is all about great, usable content and we get that. But recently there have been a lot of folks on Social Media that are saying that it is your NUMBER of  CONTACTS that matter.

The debate goes on and it appears that there are 2 sides to the question.

 Which one are YOU on?

Taking Sides.

One side are the marketers that market on facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, youtbe, and other social sites. They market their trainings and information products.

The other side are the bloggers and creatives that want to give great content and revelation that folks can use and grow from. (Full disclosure – I provide content as well on many sites or social media and marketing from home professionals.)

Nothing wrong with either.

Marketers have  a valid argument, as they bring new ideas and new products to the marketplace.

Creatives have a valid argument as well, as they bring new how tos and teachings to the marketplace.

One says that it is all about QUANTITY of followers and friends you have.

The other says that it is all about the QUALITY of Content you provide that will create the Numbers of followers and friends you have.

Both may be right as far as their focus. Marketers need numbers to market their wares and information. This us how marketing is done and has been that way for hundreds of years.

But things are changing. New Marketing is starting to take ahold in the marketplace and transform the process of marketing online. Information and Content are driving a LOT of the marketing efforts now. That is what we do as well. We market using creative content that folks seem to like, and then with their permission, we will send them some future information that may see benefit in maybe ordering.

Seth Godin calls it “Permission Marketing” and that has been around for several years.

But seems that it has taken a while for folks to get it and understand the concepts of it. This is what is creating this great debate – Content or Contacts.

Here is my take-

Rule of Social Media- HOT, USABLE, FRESH Content that is virally marketed will DRIVE the Number of Contacts you obtain quicker than just about anything. Folks are HUNGRY for answers, solutions, howtos, and information.

You need both.

You need rocking Hot Content to brand your message and to get virally marketed, as well as a lot of folks to market it to. And you do this by building your list one follower and one friend at a time.

1. Give away a free ebook. Folks will give you a look and maybe become a friend or follower.

It is not hard to do. Create Content that folks will want to use and apply to their life and business. But make sure that you do something that is CRITICAL to building the numbers of friends and followers.

ASK them to Follow you and Become friends with you.  BE BOLD! 

You will notice everywhere on PassionFire website are social “follow tags” that you can use.

That is NO mistake. I would like for YOU to follow me on twitter as I do send out some HOT findings (urls, blogs, videos, podcasts, etc) in the social sphere that we can all learn from. 

And one More tip: Promote OTHERS in your efforts. Become a “powerful promoter. You will notice that I use a LOT of names and links in some of the posts that I send out. This is to let folks know of these folk’s work, as well as let the person know that I admire their work and learn from it.

This is how that you BLEND Content with Contacts.

I call it  “Content Blending” and it WORKS great for social media marketers.

Add contacts to your facebook notes, videos and insert them in blog posts, podcasts,  video posts, and even keywords.

Blend names into your tweets using @theirname in your message-and also Retweet –put “RT” before your message or other folks tweets on twitter as that will be a way to promote them as well.

And also in groups, use other folks names in your communication as well as this will shw that you are connected to folks in that group as well.

Bottom Line –Content Blending” will assist you in building your list, and answer the debate of whether Content or Contacts is more important.  DOUBLE the power of BOTH by making sure that you have HOT content in all you do and then blend some contacts and promote others as you do it, and you will find your numbers of contacys rocking in your social media marketing efforts for your home based business in network marketing.

1) In social media and in personal branding, you must build a VERY loyal audience and following that CONNECTS to and Embraces  you and your subject every time.

It would be hard to argue that no one had a more passionate and loyal following and audience than MJ. Across the worldwide spectrum he built a following and audience that never went away no matter what may have occurred. We must do the same thing. We that are engaged in social media and if you have your own home based business, must build a following that will look at and engage anything that we send their way because they like what we do, and like who we are.

It takes time to build a following and a loyal audience that believe in your brand and is connected to it. It took Michael years to build that audience for his personal performance songs. But he built it and build it strong, and he never lost it. THAT is what we need to do. And understand that your audience in social media will not be built overnight. It may take a few years in your personal branding, but it WILL HAPPEN.

2) You MUST be Unique, Different and set yourself APART from the Crowd. You must create and master your own “Moon Walk.”

MJ blew the world’s mind when he first showed the world his “moon walk” on TV in front of 50 million folks on the 25th Anniversary of Motown special. And it was the chatter and buzz of the music world for weeks. He set a new standard of originality for dancing and singing, as well as personal branding with the “moon walk” that even today, has not been equaled in the music world. He truly looked beyond what had been done up with dancing and singing up until that point, and introduced to the world something totally new and unique.

That is much like a powerful social media message and brand. Many today still have not embraced their own social message and brand. But you need to create, develop, and master your own “moon walk” message.

A message so different, so unique and different that people will take notice and talk about it and virally market it all around the social sphere. Your message cannot be a “me too” message. It must be a “Me One” message that YOU own and can develop into a great marketing brand and meme for your marketing.

Your “moon walk” message will take you into the marketing stratosphere if you let it. Go beyond what has been done and NEVER be settled for what is.

During the heyday of the 80s and 90s and early 2000, MJ was everywhere. He was seen on TV. He and his music was heard on the radio. He image was in the newspapers. His face was in the magazines. He and his marketing folks were a marketing machine on social media with his image. You need to become a marketing machine with your home business and network marketing message.

Where should YOU BE?  Start with being on the blogs, podcast sites, social networking sites, video channel sites, chat sites, article marketing sites, and beyond that. It is not enough in social medias to be just visible. You MUST BE HIGHLY Visible in social media with a Hot message, content, and BRAND that people are PULLED towards.

Michael had amazing content- the lyrics in his songs. You must have great content in your posts, vids, audios, and conversations.

Become Highly Visible – but be it in a GOOD way. MJ became way too visible with his court cases. Make sure your visibility is POWERFUL and POSITIVE and helps folks with their problems. BE  a Solution. Be everywhere and make sure your message is YOU- and with you. MJ was a total marketing genius at that particular one.

4) You must be willing to REACH in your marketing and branding, and even push the envelope past the accepted marketing boundaries like MJ did.

Michael kept introducing new cutting edge radical new videos and songs. Take his hit “Black or White.” At the end of the great video, people’s actual faces morphed into other people’s faces. In the 80s, it was RADICAL, and it totally blew people away. The video was made in over 7 countries. And it had a powerful message of unity that hit people between the hearts and eyes.

Another masterful song MJ did that took the music world by storm and changed music forever, was “Thriller.” This was the very first “mini movie” on on the MTV network. The first and original version of Thriller was over 12 minutes long and it blew people’s minds because of the amazing choreographed dance moves- and the monster plot that was actually behind it. The makeup was head shaking as well.

MJ was not in fear to move beyond the accepted boundaries of dance, music and music videos.

You must be willing to move our from your comfort zone and push your own social media branding envelope. Do not be limited to what social media is today. It will be a total different world in 2 years. Where is it going to be even 5 years from now? Imagine that in your mind. Then start moving towards it. Push your own talents and skills. Ask ly “What is NOT being done in Social media concerning my business and niche, and why isn’t it?” THEN start moving beyond what most people are doing to increase the Value of your message and products.

Michael lived in that marketing world. He was pushing and transforming the envelope constantly.

So should we all in network marketing be doing that daily.

Here are some social media mlm tips: Do a different kind of video that has NOT been done before. Write a different kind of post than what is already out there. Record a different kind of podcast than what you hear. STRETCH yourself beyond the accepted social media limits.

THAT is where genius and superstardom in the home business profession is born.

5) You must be continually re- crafting, reshaping, repowering,  and retooling your marketing message to keep it NEW and FRESH and relevant like MJ did with his “next level” music and videos.

MJ was all the time thinking of who to take his music to the next level. He was re crafting his talent and message constantly. MJ moved from “Off the Wall,” to “Billie Jean,” to “Thriller,” to “”Bad,” to “Black or White,” to “You are not Alone.”  Each # 1 song and video GREW past the last one.

Admit it…THAT is what we all need to do in our social media marketing for our home business. It is called SOCIAL LEADERSHIP

MLM Social Media Tip: You must take the lead when no one else will to take people where no one else dares. That was Michael Jackson. He was constantly studying, growing, and retooling his craft for a more powerful impact each song and each video.

Everything is all about NUMBERS and if you have the numbers that are supposed to be in your groups-you will do fine. THAT is how you market in social media- and you MUST follow the gurus, experts, and leaders that propose that- THEY know best!!!

 Just read an unbelievable article about someone that was saying that twitter is getting as many people as you can to follow you, and THEN you send them advertisements everyday. and DO NOT let up- until they unfollow you. THEN you direct message them.

Yes…I actually read that on a blog. A very stupid blog.

Who in the world sold you on that idiotic concept?

NOTE:  Marketing is and always has been  a delicate balance in the socialsphere– no doubt. But that balance many times can be pushed and pulled way out of balance.

Many people that are online and on social media focus on Volume and Numbers and not Value and Names.  DID YOU GET THAT?

Yes, you need to get some people to follow you on twitter- but here is a nice thought: how about bringing REAL Value to them- instead of trying to pump out a Volume of sales to them first?

This Social Media MLM Marketing Model we call “Connection Marketing”- not “Conjob marketing” as so many people seem to attempt on the social networking scene. Get over it- as people see through that.
