A home business is built many ways and with many tools.

One of the 2 tools that a network marketing business is built with is YES and NO. Many MLM distributors do not realize that their home based business is being built by someone else.

WHAT???

You READ THAT RIGHT.

Many a home business is being built by someone else the distributor knows through powerful Influence,and they are using the NO tool to do it.

Many a work at home distributor in a home based business has left the profession because someone else was building their business-with negative words and actions that influence the distributor over time to give up and simply walk away.

I almost walked away my first 4 years -5 times- due to negative comments and people’s influence over my life.

Thank God I was able to GROW BIGGER than their negatives.

Isn’t it TIME that you moved  you and your work at home business into the YES ZONE?

Isn’t it time that you simply took CONTROL of your MLM destiny and quit letting someone else “build” -or in this case destroy- your business.

I do a lot of private one on one consultation and I am amazed at how many people let others dictate and build their business with their negative and poisonous “not going to happen” focus. And eventually the distributor gives in to the verbal and emotional assault of others -and quits.

And they could have gone on to build a dream business that would have given them an amazing life. But yet they built their business on the foundation of someone else’s NO.

Yes is one of the most powerful words in all language and MLM. It simply says “I will move forward with that.”

Many people build a home business as well as live a life of NO because they were taught that and grew up in that NO culture. But you can change that in a heartbeat.

Prospecting in MLM is something that MUST happen everyday.

In social media, online, internet, offline, and any other way that it takes to find quality prospect for your home business.

But many do not look at the mlm prospecting process from the PROSPECT’S point of view.

That is a MUST.

ALWAYS consider the prospect’s point of view and what they are thinking.

THAT is critical as it is the PROSPECT that must be motivated to move towards you. And knowing what they are thinking will pay handsomely down the road in your mlm prospecting.

Imagine this…

There you are.

You are right in the middle of this great mlm presentation and then suddenly the network marketing prospect seems to drift off, and you are losing them. They eventually come back to you, but there for a minute you were a little worried about what you were doing wrong.

You were doing nothing wrong.

They were just walking into THE QUESTION.

There you are.

You are in front of 50 people, and rocking the house with a great mlm prospecting presentation and everything seems to be going incredible. And then suddenly, one by one, the mlm prospects seem to be somewhere else, and not with you. HELLO! You look, and one by one, they are returning. You question what just happened.

Nothing.

They were just walking through THE QUESTION.

Every home business network marketing prospect that you have talked to, or ever will talk to, asks this question sometime during the path to the Decision in Network Marketing. We all make it, and we all think it with every thing we look at doing or buying. It is done everyday.

Many times, we ask it quietly, and other times we will drift off and think about it, and feeling what answer we can come up with.

Especially in MLM and Network Marketing and Home business.

What is THE QUESTION?

“What kind of VALUE do I feel this has for my life, and is it enough Value for me to bring into my life?”

You may not think those exact words, but you will think them in some form.

VALUE RULES in making decisions to change, add, or delete anything in your life.

 It is the same in Home Business Network Marketing and MLM.

The Next time that you are presenting to a prospect, make sure you POUR ON THE VALUE.

These are questions that your mlm prospect will be thinking:

How will this create Value to the prospect’s future and family?

How will this create more Value in their lifestyle?

How will this bring more Value than what they currently have or doing?

How will this bring Value to their Dreams?

How will this bring Value to their life and future that they cannot get anywhere else or from anyone else?

VALUE is the KEY to unlocking the MLM Success Doors.

Are you turning it in your MLM and Network Marketing home business or are you missing it?

In a home business today, you MUST be online.

If you are not, then you are operating your home business at a tremendous disadvantage.

How are you VALUABLE to people that friend you or follow you? What can you ADD to their life that will IMPROVE, ENHANCE, EDUCATE, or ENLARGE what they are doing with their life?

Home business prospecting is easy- if you let it be.

Home business recruiting is all part of building a home based business. There is much talk and training online about “funnel marketing” and social media marketing, and internet marketing. All of these are great and critical to the success of a home business.

But many times the more traditionl marketing and home business recruiting ideas can play HUGE into the success equation. There are many times that the more traditional approach in home business prospecting can reap huge dividends. I have been teaching social media prospecting as well as online prospecting for years. But yet the traditional methods have not lost their power for building a home based business either.

I would suggest that you look at a home business prospecting idea that we have been training for years that has proven to be an amazing little secret in prospecting.

MLM and Home business Prospecting is an action that many folks struggle with, and they really should not have to. Network marketing Prospects are EVERYWHERE if you are just aware of them.

In home business, we have what I call “Prospecting Radar” and most of the time, the distributor’s radar is turned off or ineffective.

There are more people than you can count on any given day that you walk past or drive by. There are according to the US government, about 150 homes in the average neighborhood. Each neighborhood has about 2.5 people in the house. And there are usually 5-7 neighborhoods between you and where you are employed.

That means there are about 2,200 people everyday you drive past or at least where they live. And there are about 40-50 neighborhoods in the average town.

You do the math. that is over 100,00 possible prospects for your mlm business.

One of the most powerful MLM Prospecting secrets is what we call “2 Streets Over” Prospecting.

There is more business in your neighborhood than you could possibly write.

“2 Streets Over” is a Home business Prospecting secret that we used for years. Most people Never work their neighborhood, but that really is crazy. You have something in common with all of them:

You are their neighbor, and have a geographical commonality and closeness.

Why not utilize that to your advantage?

What you need to do, is think about becoming the “Local Neighborhood ABC Company Rep” and start looking towards that journey. You can identify yourself in many ways as the local neighborhood ABC Rep, and introduce yourself as such. And you will be shocked at the nice response that you usually will get.

Even on social media, you can find people in your neighborhood and use that connection as a possible conversation point.

People seem to appreciate neighbors, and when you can show them something that would enhance their life, many folks respond in a positive fashion to this Network Marketing prospecting strategy.

How can you communicate this to your neighbors that you are in business?

1) Snail Mail.

Simply send them a piece in the mail introducing yourself as the neighborhood ABC Rep and you would love to meet them and give them a free gift. This gift could be a sample product, or a CD about a product, or a coupon for something free. You can call them to follow up as well if you choose to make the mail piece more effective.

2) Doorhangers.

This is a tried and true old school way of introducing yourself. Real Estate people use this a lot. An MLM company I am blessed to consult with, used door hangers on their “2 Streets Over” program. Their volume per consultant quadrupled for those who did this. The door hanger does not have to be complicated. Just let the door hanger introduce yourself, and tell them you would love to meet them sometime. We used “I am just hanging around wanting to meet you!” or “Is your future hanging on your boss’s decisions?”

3) Voice Mail.

You can find out your neighbors phone number by going to anywho.com and do a reverse look up with the address. Call them and simply introduce yourself as a neighbor and you have a free gift for them. And the best gift is a sample of your products or services. Leave a 30 second message and your phone number. Be friendly and warm.

4) Hold a neighborhood Bar b que or cook out.

Hold a social function and invite your neighbors. They will appreciate the gesture, and you can get to know them and get their phone numbers and set up appointments as well when you call them a few days later.

5) Go for a walk daily, and talk to who you see.

Do this everyday at different times. Many people are outside working on the lawn between 6:30 pm and 9 pm. Introduce yourself, and talk about your neighbor, and what they do, how many kids they have, and their life. Get to know them. Then introduce yourself as the neighborhood ABC rep and then after you feel timing is good, ask them if they know anyone who would benefit from your products. Do this all over your neighborhood. Not just your street, but every street in your neighborhood. Tell them that you are their neighbor and you live “2 Streets Over” or a few streets over. This is sizzling Network Marketing Prospecting in action.

6. Social Networking.

There are websites such as www.meetup.com and www.upcoming.orgthat allow you to subscribe to local functions and events. if you hold an event, make sure you put it on these sites and let other know about it in your region.

7. Give “Neighborhood Samples” out of your product and let them try your product for free.

This has been done over and over with many types of products and it is a great excuse to talk to neighbors 2 streets over. And it also gives you a reason to follow up and ask for referrals.

8. Ask a Neighbor for help and who they know that could benefit from your products.

You neighbors have a warm market that you need to tap into. Ask then for an introduction to a friend that has a challenge and show them your products or services has a solution for them. Your neighbors know a TON of folks.

9. Mail your neighbors every 90 days with a flyer or special with a personal note that will compel them to call you or ask about when they see you.

This alone will keep your name out in front of them and at the top of their mind if they should need a product like you market. make the mailer COMPELLING and magnetic.

Home business Prospecting “2 Streets Over” is a powerful way to get to know your neighbors, but also who they know. Be friendly, be warm, and always ask how their family is doing when you see them.

In your neighborhood is a gold mine. Are you digging it? That is one of the most powerful secrets there is.

You can connect with your neighbors by simply giving them a coupon when you see them and tell them this is for your business. You can send it via email, or even social mail. You can call your neighbors and invite them over for a luncheon and ask for referrals. There are so many possibilities.

I would encourage you to look at your neighborhood. Look at who your neighbors know. Look at where your neighbors work. Look at where your neighbors go and have fun. There are many ideas that you can get simply by thinking about who your neighbors are 2 Streets Over in home business prospecting.

On the the other piece, write all the reasons you MUST do this and succeed.

NOW– Tear one of them up.

What are the Secrets to Billion Dollar Prospecting?

can be quite trying at times. it was for me.

Especially when it came to the telephone. I was not a fan of calling people. It took me a while to get the hang of it and nearly hung me with it’s cord.

I could not for the life of me get past the fear of picking up the phone. It was strange.

 Until I figured out some things that  made it easier and much more lucrative.

Even in social media. You must take it offline sometime. And calling people you have already established contact with can be harrowing at times. It has happened many times to many people.

So….what you are saying is that you are having somewhat the same trouble as I did?

Welcome to this elite club my friend! Most folks go through this and it can be quite frustrating.

Ledt me tell you what happens…You look at the telephone and weird things start to happen? Sound familiar?

Let me see — I bet I can describe it. I went through it, and fortunately now teach how to conquer it for Home Business MLM and Network Marketing.

1) You get a knot in your stomach.

2) You get anxious and start dreading the call.

3) You actually start sweating and heart pounds.

4) You begin to think of other things you need to do.

5) You decide to go do them.

Sound famliar?

That is what I used to do constantly until one day we realized some things that made a HUGE difference in our phone calls in home  business network marketing. When the “light went on” and we actually understood the Psychology of the Telephone, it made all the difference in the world.

On the telphone in mlm, your job really is to do one thing:

Separate.

Your job is to talk to people and separate people into 2 groups:

People that are OPEN to new ideas.

People that are not open to new ideas.

How simple. How profound.

And the ones that are not open to new ideas right now, are simply people you put in your ‘later’ file. You are a messenger, and every phone call is simply a delivery vehicle.

 Either way, you have been successful at separating the people you talk to in network marketing.

And combine that with these three relizations, you will find some relief with Phone Struggle.

Here are the 3 realizations we had about the telephone in home business network marketing and what the REALITY is, versus what we think we are doing.

1) ALL a phone call is, is a CONVERSATION

That is it. It is simply a conversation that you have done a thousand times before. And the secret to getting past the phone phobia in MLM is to have NO agenda for the call except to hold a conversation with the person and see if they are open to a new idea.

That is it. You want to talk to them and see if they are open to a new idea that would help them. If they are not open, then talk about them. If they are open, then ask some questions about what they are looking to happen in their life and what they would like to improve. Have no agenda, except to help people, and if you can great. If you cannot, great. You have still held a conversation that went well.

2) Understand that all phone phobia is based on the fear of the wrong results.

If you knew you would get all yeses, then you would call people 24/7. But you know that you will not, so you get scared.

How about changing your paradigm?

How about looking at the phone call NOT from a results standpoint, but a PRACTICE standpoint, and you are calling people to practice and get better, and sharpen your skills? Results are partly a fruit of a good skill set and why not get better at it while you work?

Here is a Truth:

You are NOT in charge of results. You are only in charge of getting better at the phone which will improve your results dramatically.

Are you in the market currently for a $400,000 Bentley? No? If a friend of yours who is marketing them calls you and tells you about them, have they done something wrong? Just because they do not sell you one, should they quit selling them? Of course not. You simply were not in the market right now for one.

It is the same thing with your Home Business. Some people simply will not be in the market for the products or business you are marketing.

Do not worry about results. They will come. Worry about getting better, and getting an expertise in using the telephone that you can train your downline with.

3) Realize that Fear of the Phone is also an opinion. A wrong one.

You are calling to hold a conversation with someone to HELP THEM, not sell them or recruit them. Many people look at using the telephoine in network marketing as “bothering my friends.” That is an opinion in error. How can you bother friends when you calling to see if you can help them?

You do not know if they are who you are looking for, and if your mlm products and services are what they need. You are not bothering them, but offering them a message with some new information that could possibly help their life.

Make your opinion count. Get out of the “bother zone’ and into the “message zone.” You are NOT bothering peoeple. You are HELPING them. If your message is not received, then they are not open to new ideas. It is that simple.

Your job is to find out if they are open or not.

Ok….

Look at the phone.

Touch it.

This is your conversation tool. This is your Wealth Vault and holds the keys to a lot of money in your life and other’s lives.

Your job is to call people and talk about THEM, and see if they are open to a new idea.

You are not in charge of results, and you are not in charge of what they say. You are in charge of talking about them and what is BEST FOR THEM.

Dial the number.

Start your normal conversation and ask about their life, family, and job.

Ask for their help. You need some people to try your products.

If they say yes- you have succeeded. They are open to new ideas.

If they say no, you have succeeded. You have found that they are not open to new ideas.

Are you bleeding or need a doctor? No?

See? Do this over and over, and hold conversations with people about them and what is best for them. You will find your phone phobia going away.

I would suggest if you are looking to master the telephone, then start by getting past your fear of the phone. That has been stopping a lot of folks recently and I wanted to address this issue! Become a telephone master in your MLM Home Business!

Article Marketing for MLM -5 Elements EVERY Article MUST Have?

Home business and

Article Marketing go hand in hand. The two are made for each other. One is a vehicle and the other helps drive the engine.

Article marketing I have been doing for nearly 10 years. It has been an amazing way to meet people as well as get a message out.

And of course, to train as well as educate the folks on some pretty cool things. Ahem.

Now I am going to get up on my soap box.

Recently I have been observing some articles that are…well…let’s just say are less than quality content. Ezine articles got smart. Chris Knight over at ezinearticles.com decided to go to 500 words per articles because a lot of articles were disguised advertisements for a lot of affiliate marketing, MLM, as well as internet marketing scams.

It is all over the place. Low quality articles that are deceptive at best.

I just shake my head when it comes to social media articles and what I call  the teaching and practice of “Deception Marketing.”

It is a total lack of ethics and integrity.

I am amazed by a lot of the social networking articles on the article marketing resources. Many neophytes in network marketing and social media try to come across as network marketing “experts” and social media “experts.” And when a little research is done-you find that many of the authors have not even been in the business 5 years- or even 3. They simply are doing what they have been taught to do and doing it over and over.

And they pitch and sell-pitch and sell- and pitch and sell.

Nothing wrong with that I guess.

Or is that really what articles are supposed to do?

And another thing I have found is that many of their articles contain little or no training or any useful  information that will help people in their issues with life.

Now I have a REAL issue with that.

If you are honestly going to write an article as an “expert” – then give them expert advice, training, or something of VALUE.

COME ON folks!

Tough to do-if you have not done it. I have done it a lot-and done it in a big way. The training articles of Deception Marketing also contain mostly the same old warmed over stuff- the same ideas, tactics, and the same verbiage that has been out in the article directories for years. I call it “Recycled Mold.”  The info is so old, it contains marketing mold.

What happened to the USP? Or even being unique and SETTING YOURSELF APART?

Or even branding yourself as something different?

Well, maybe I am wrong- but I believe there are 5 Elements that a Network Marketing Social Media article should contain on any article resource directory in Article Marketing:

1) Unique training and information-NOT just useless selling.

Many people are looking for SOLUTIONS-not to be sold something. I have a lot of emails that people are asking why that all the trainings in these directories are a bait ands switch? They promise training but end up getting pitched on the newest deal or “opportunity.”

Been there as well as I have taken the time to look up other topics in article directories and found that good old Deception Marketing. And again- having a resource box with an offer is GREAT and that is how you do it. But let’s just not pitch in the article itself. It gives all of the authors in MLM /Social Media a black eye and bad rap.

GIVE some training / information as that is expected in an article is it not? That is what “experts” do- if there is really such a thing. GIVE something UNIQUE that will HELP people- and solve a problem for them. You will be taking your articles up to a whole new level. Get rid of the same ol same ol and THINK like an expert- write like an expert- and get creative like an expert would. That is the minimum we all should do.

2) A SOLUTION that has PROVEN to WORK.

THAT is imperative. If you are going to get in the article network marketing and social media marketing zone- make your article SOLUTION focused– not selling focused. That is what a Social Media and MLM “expert” does.

People are seeking answers to problems. They are looking for how to’s-not “here -buy this.” Create a solution for people- a REAL solution-not something that is disguised as one to sell something. Build your credibility, not your gullibility.

3) A Presentation- not a Pitch.

Articles are an information source- and a training haven. Professional authors understand that you want to create a BOND and RELATIONSHIP with the person reading your article. They will stay with you and read your blog and other articles. THAT is money in the bank. They will become raving fans of yours- instead of resentful foes that feel cheated by your article.

If you PITCH someone in your article- you have developed a short term relationship. If you PRESENT a solution or an answer- you are well on your way to developing a long term relationship-the secret to successful article marketing.

4) Your Article must contain IMPACT.

Impact is the key to a great article. Your article must create a “Wow” impact- and show them you are a TRUE expert-not someone pretending to be. The social media “gurus” teach personal branding. We have for years as well. But it takes 3 things to be branded as an Expert:

TIME.

EXPERIENCE.

CREATIVE KNOWLEDGE.

Impact is a fruit of “been there-done that” and the social proof that you are truly an expert. Impact is a fruit of having the KNOWLEDGE that experts that can Impact people in a powerful way. And Impact is taking a “TINY” focus- “Their Interests Not Yours.” Their interest in your article for the most part, is learning and solving. Make sure that your article has that within it- and you will have the impact to move people to want to know more about you.

5) Your Article MUST Contain ENOUGH Content AND – Content that is Valuable and Worth Reading.

I see a lot of “articles” of 75-100-words that only there for one reason it seems–to point to the resource box. THAT is what I call an “Article Pitch” or “Pretend Article.” It is PURE Deception Marketing. They use an article to “pitch” their offer and dilute all of the other articles in the directory.

There used to be a commercial asking “Where’s the BEEF?” Well- Where’s the Content? And many of the article directories today have gone to a minimum of 600 words to insure there IS content that is worth reading.

Now yes, there are really good articles in these directories from some really great writers. It is not all “fake it and write it.” There are great newer authors as well as older ones–that are VALUE focused– not Volume focused.

One is focused on giving Value to the reader- and the other to sell Volume for themselves. One is short term and the other is long term.

Guess which one is the most successful at building business? Yep- the Value focused article that delivers.

I have been blessed to write the last 8 years over 1000 on line published articles on over 300 directories-so I know a little bit about this. Let’s quit pretending to be authors and start giving TRUE Value first- THEN build a connection with the reader about what you have to offer.

It is CONNECT –> DIRECT–> BUILD.

Connect with the reader with TRUE Solution Based Value. Direct them to your offer through your resource box. Build a relationship with them then, through a blog,conference calls, or newsletter.

Folks, as we say from my home state of Texas: This ain’t rocket science. It is simply understanding the process.

You will have so much more success in your Social Network Marketing efforts if you are HONEST and INTEGRITABLE about your writing and delivering content via article marketing. If you oppose Deception Marketing like I do, great. if you practice it then do not be surprised if you stay frustrated with your MLM Network Marketing Home Business.

Home Business Training- 5 Reasons Why You Hear the Word “NO?”

Home business entrepreneurs have to understand that they will run up against resistance.

I do mean Resistance. But not the kind that is physical. It is more mental and psychological. It is more emotional. But it is as devastating to some people as actually physical resistance.

It comes in the form of the word “NO.” Yeah yeah. I can hear you now. “I HATE the word NO!”

Ok…but do you KNOW WHY that you are getting that answer a lot? Have you studied the reasons why? Maybe I can help you understand better why this is happening.

Many people that have a home business face the fact that they get a never ending string of No’s  and never really understand why. They end up getting discouraged, and then many simply walk away  because they cannot handle the negative outcomes that keeps their MLM business in the doldrums.

Why do people continue to think that what they are doing is going to work if it isn’t working NOW? Amazingly, they continue to say and do the same things over and over and expect different results.

Yeah right. As if that is going to work.

And one of the biggest reasons that they get the word NO more than YES, is they do not understand why the prospect tells them NO. It really is quite simple to understand. But the average distributor/consultant does not think of that. They have an agenda and will stick to that agenda no matter what.

 That is why they are average. Ahem.

They simply do not connect to the reality that what they are doing is encouraging the prospect
to say NO, not YES.

What if you could discover the 5 Biggest reasons that prospects say No?

 Would that make a difference in your Success efforts? Of course it would. You have a goal of Success in your home business. But your prospect’s results are going to determine how your business goes.

So should you care about why they are telling you NO? OF COURSE! And that is the reason why for this article. So what are the 5 reasons why prospect’s tell you NO?

1) Lack of Perceived or Thought of  VALUE.

One of the biggest mistakes made in networking and in home businesses, is not creating enough VALUE in what you are saying. You need to create extreme VALUE with your products, business, and especially your Leadership.

It is ALL ABOUT VALUE. No matter if it is social media, offline or internet marketing.

Value is what people are looking for. Value is what people are expecting. Value is what people demand, and if you do not create that with your conversation, then you probably are headed for the NO ZONE.

The NO ZONE is where lack of Value lives, and does it’s ugly work.

2) Bad Timing in the Prospect’s Life.

Many prospect’s life is not conducive for having a networking home business. Not every one has the perfect time for that. Some prospect’s have things going on in their life that you may not know about. Divorce. Finding a new job. Relationship challenges with kids. Parental challenges. Emotional challenges.

Many people have different things in their life going on that may prevent them from joining you in your business, or even purchasing a product. Don’t freak if that happens. They may even be in an emotional funk. That is ok. That will pass. You can talk to them again. Don’t get all upset and depressed.

Just go to the next name on your list.

3) Prospect does not feel comfortable with you.

OUCH!  This one HURTS!

You may not sense it. You may not feel it. You may be oblivious to it. But it is there. The body language. The looking away. The silence. Not returning your phone calls.

Sometimes, the prospect simply does not feel comfortable with you. You really have done nothing wrong. You may have done a lot of things right. But yet,they do not feel comfortable with you. If this happens, and they say NO, ask them a simple question” “Help me understand this, Did I do something wrong in the process of sharing this with you?”

Odds are they will not tell you the truth, but they will know that you sense something that is not right. Move on to the next prospect and connect to that prospect in a powerful way.

4) They are Assuming the Wrong Things.

Many prospects assume that they have already heard this “pitch” before, and lump you into all the other network presentations they have heard. They assume you are no different. They assume you are only after their money. They assume you are not a professional. They assume you will disappear like all the others did.

Don’t.

Keep in touch and let them know of the updates as well as the Success you experience. Do not let their assuming that you are like all the others become the truth. Do something different. Be a professional. Stay in touch. Do not beg. Forget the business. Focus on the relationship.

You will be glad you did.

5) Bad Experience with a previous Company or Product.

“My mind is made up. Do NOT confuse me with the truth. I am living in the past.”

That is the slogan for these folks.

They simply do want to listen to you as they are still stinging from the last one that did not work. Or the last network marketing product that did not work. Or the last promise that did not work. Or the last person that became a part of the witness protection plan.

If someone tells you NO because they have had a bad experience with another home business company or product- say this:

‘Thank you for sharing that with me and I am so sorry. That is not right for anyone to get treated like that. Please tell me what happened as I do care about this and would like to make it up somehow…that is just not right.” And then listen to the prospect and let them talk. Many times they will talk themselves into doing business with you. Happened to me a lot.

Do not think it will work? Try it. You will be surprised.

These are the 5 Biggest reasons why prospects tell you NO. Learn them, and then turn them into something that will work FOR YOU- not against. Many times a NO is simply a “NOT NOW” in your Networking Home Business. Keep in touch, and keep in the Success Road.

NO is NOT the final word in many instances. They say “NO” because they do not “KNOW” yet. Sometimes, it takes more information, more education, sampling the product, another three way call, another post or video. This is critical that you NEVER accept NO as the final word.

NO = Not Now.  Try again in the future. And keep focused on the ultimate goal: Getting a string of YESES for your home based business.
