Would you like to know the 7 biggest mistakes made in facebook recruiting?

I believe that facebook is a GREAT recruiting space. But you MUST know that there are things you DO NOT DO.

What are the 7 Biggest Mistakes made while recruiting on facebook?

1) Being TOO Aggressive in getting your message out to people.

Many folks on facebook are way too pushy in their recruiting efforts. The reason are many. They are excited, they are new, and they don’t know. But many times, you will find that even though someone tries to help, they still will not listen.

If you are too aggressive and too pushy, that will spell one word:

AMATEUR.

That is what amateurs do on facebook when recruiting. They are looking for what the prospect can give them, versus what the leader can give the prospect.

2) Not giving the relationship time to grow before you start the recruiting process.

Relationships are the nuclear fuel to this profession and social media. But yet, many people JUMP IN and do not give the relationship time to gel or form. That is a mistake.

Relationships take time. Even if you connect with the person- give the relationship time to gel and settle so you can find out where your business can help them and solve a problem. If you do not do this and continue to push the prospect- you will push the prospect away and they will not be coming back.

3) Inconsistent Visibility.

You cannot spend all your time on facebook, come on. But yet, you MUST be consistent in when people SEE YOU and hear FROM YOU. If you are not, they will not take you seriously in your social media efforts.

If you spend only 20 minutes a day on facebook, the amount of recruiting you can do, IF done correctly, is staggering.

4) Broadcasting and NOT Conversing.

There are 2 ways to communicate on social media: Broadcast and Conversation.

Many facebook folks recruiting prospects ONLY broadcast updates with links and “take a look at my business.” THAT is a mistake. CONVERSATION is the MAGNET.

It will PULL the prospect into the thread of communication, and give you a better opportunity to get your message out but yet in a more personal way. Broadcasting is good, but Conversation is better.

5) Not establishing yourself as THE AUTHORITY.

Many people talk about becoming THE EXPERT. But I beg to differ. There are many experts out there that carry NO influence nor make any difference. Many are ONLY fact filled geeks.

If you are SERIOUS about recruiting on facebook- start using the word “Authority” and establish yourself as THE GO TO PERSON, and then when you speak, it will carry more clout and magnetism.

6) Not promoting what your friends and followers do.

It is NOT ABOUT YOU, nor your home based business. It is about what YOUR FRIENDS are doing. Re-post what your friends are doing, and do it OFTEN. Tag them in the post. And make sure they see YOU are promoting them a LOT.

WHY?

Because they will promote YOU and your message. That is human nature. You scratch my back and I will scratch yours. So if you are recruiting on facebook- make the OTHER PERSON the STAR! And they will return the favor.

7) Not hooking up facebook to LinkedIn, twitter, slideshare, wordpress, youtube, pinterest, and all the other social sites that will send your efforts to facebook.

I really do not think I need to explain this.

It is called a “social web.”

Weave a social web and you will find your recruiting on facebook exploding your mlm home business.

If you dig deep, and answer these questions TRUTHFULLY, you will find that breakthroughs for your home based business will be numerous and FAST in their happening.

Many questions need to be asked in network marketing as well as personal development. These questions really get to the CORE of what Success in your home business is about. Personal Development is the KEY to Success in network marketing and mlm, and these questions will GROW YOU if you let them.

Here are 3 of the most powerful questions you can ask:

1) “What if I believe in myself more than I ever have before in my life?”

What would happen to my emotions?
What would happen to my business?
What would happen to my activity?
What would happen to my income?
What would happen to my lifestyle?
Believing in yourself is one of the MUST DOs in your home business. People will FEEL and SENSE if you truly believe in what you are doing, as well as if you believe in YOU. If you do NOT believe in YOU, they will know it….and walk away.

2) “What If I DECIDED to Succeed Massively- how would that change me and my prospect?”

 Never underestimate the Power of DECISION.
Decision creates an “Inner Shift” that is felt and makes you more believable, more credible, more authoritative, and more powerful.
A DECISION will send “signals” to the mlm prospect and they will FEEL the decision in your words and actions. They will sense that you are a NO OTHER OPTION Leader.

3) “What if I REFUSED any other option in my company other than MASSIVE Success?”

 RE-FUSED- putting a new fuse in your breaker box!
Re-Fuse to lose!
How would that change your focus?
How would that change your perspective?
Simply, what you REFUSE in your life, disappears.
That includes all the things that are slowing you down and stopping you in your network marketing business. If you REFUSE TO LOSE, your home business prospect will again, FEEL that in all you do and say and be PULLED towards you with that Power of refusal.

Most network marketers ask the questions that LIMIT them, not grow them. Limiting questions often are more comfortable. They often are easier to answer. That is why many ask that level of question.
But we need to REALIZE something that will impact a lot of your home based business Success:
 The first word in “Question” is QUEST.
Questions are the fruit of the quest you are on in life concerning your home business and personal development.
I have a couple of questions for YOU:
Are you on a quest for Greatness?
Or are you on a quest for Limits and less and do not even know it?
Are you on a quest that will take you to new heights or new frustration?
The answers that you gave for those questions show you whether you are on a “Greatness Quest” or a “Limited Quest.”
Lets change some questions people often ask in home business from a Limiting Question to a Transforming Question:
1) Why isn’t this working?
Change that to “What do I need to do to make it work?”
2) What am I doing wrong?
Change that to “What do I need to do more right?”
3) Will this really work?
Change that to “Will I really work?”
4) What do I need to do?
Change that to “Who can I learn from to do this?”
These are questions that you can ask yourself in your personal development for your home business and mlm network marketing business.

Tools are a part of the culture of our profession. Here are the tools that I believe will help you build your business.

 As a professional, you are going to utilizing tools that will help you build your business. You need to make sure that you understand what they are, and that you have them on hand to
use.

Here is a list that you will need in your NETWORK MARKETING Success Tool
Kit.

 1. Product Catalogue.

If you are a direct seller, or your company provides this, make sure that you have this catalogue available to show the reality of how many products you offer.  More products are on the way and your company should have something to show the product line.

 2. Business cards.

Make sure that you have business cards to give prospects. Go to Vista Print for cards.

3. Daily Planner.

Get yourself a monthly planner-online or offline– and use it. Keep track of your appointments and commitments.

4. Presentation Brochure.

Make sure that you have the Presentation brochure, and learn how it works. You can do a
complete presentation anywhere in five minutes.

5. Voice Mail.

Make sure that you have a VM set up on your phone and a professional message that people hear when they call you.

6. Computer.

Since we are an online driven business, you will need a computer that you can use to send email, do back office business, and many other things.

 7. Audio CDs-The Decision

This is a great recruiting CD that you initially hand out to a prospect to show the possibilities with our company.

 8. DVD or Video for Recruiting.

Many people will want to see rather than hear the presentation. A DVD does exactly that as well as the corporate video that you have to use from your company.

 9. Home presentations.

This is a tool that you will use to expose the business to your friends as well as do trainings for your team. These are getting back in vogue today and more and more popular. Even with Social media meetups and mash ups.

 10. Webcasts.

This online tool is used to recruit your prospects with an online presentation. It is part of the four step recruiting process. It is also a tool used for PassionFire’s Live Webinar Events on Monday nights at 10 pm EST.

 11. Compensation Plan CD.

This will simply walk you through an explanation about the compensation plan and how to
present it.

12. Business Meetings and Events.

These are live events that you can have for recruiting or a presentation. It can be a
dinner, luncheon, or even a “coffee meeting.”

13. Conference Calls. 

These are calls that are done on a conference line where numerous people can call in on the same line and participate in the call.

 14. In Home Presentation CD / DVD.

Where do you keep track of your daily actions in your home based business?

How do you keep abreast of your network marketing work at home business or DO YOU?

Is keeping track even a part of your daily method of operation in your mlm business?

Most people do NOT keep track or even keep score in their business. It is not a priority and thus, not done or engaged.

Here is an interesting fact:

We did a study in our downline in the 90’s, and found that the leaders who kept track daily of their actions and had goals to hit everyday, had something different then those who did not.

INCOME.

The leaders who had a system and used it daily, had 7 TIMES MORE the income then those who did not. They averaged 7.2 times MORE income after 18 months, then those who did not.

Hello.

Need I say more?

Keeping track with a system will ACCELERATE and ELEVATE your home business volume and income. It also will explode your team building efforts as it will duplicate with your people who you bring in as they are taught that from the VERY beginning.

Does THAT get your attention?

it does not matter whether it is activity in social media, mobile recruiting, or more traditional methods- it ROCKS YOUR BUSINESS!

What is a system that I suggest?

There are many out there, but one of my favorites and simplest is “The 4 Point System.”

What is THAT?

The Four Point System of Success

You must have a Tracking System to keep an account of what you do on a daily basis. Your goal is to keep track of the points that you earn everyday in your NETWORK MARKETING business.

Most do  not as I said, but YOU SHOULD.

The Points are focused on NEW BUSINESS and ONLY new business and actions. That is the lifeblood of growing your NETWORK MARKETING business.  Each Point leads to a forward moving action that will move your business forward and create some beginning momentum for your work at home business.

Here is how you keep score.

You earn:

 1 Point – If you find a new lead.

 This is ANY lead that you get- online or offline. This is simply a lew person to talk to about your work at home business and products.

2 Points – If you Reach Out or Call a New Lead. (This can be also a Three-way call with another Reseller.)

 We know that it does NO GOOD if you have leads and do not reach out to them. In social media and mobile recruiting, you still need to get the prospect on the phone or skype at some point to develop a relationship that ENDURES.

3 Points – If you make an appointment with a new lead or they view a video.

 Setting online or offline appointments is CRITICAL as they are the first exposure and can lead to more exposures of your business.

4 Points – If you do a presentation to a new lead online or offline.
(This does include appointments, but 8 Points maximum for each Session).

 This can be a webinar, or a face to face appointment. This is where you tell the story of your company.

Your goal is to do a minimum of 4 points per day, or 20 points each week.

NOTE: Many of the leaders we tracked were doing at least 10-15 points a day and some were doing 60-80 points a week.

So…You may want to STRETCH yourself and do 30 or even 40 points per week.  We have found that as you increase the Points you do each day, your NETWORK MARKETING Paycheck will increase proportionately.

Keep track of your points, and work up to where you are doing a minimum of 15 points a day, and you willfind your business EXPLODING in your mlm network marketing home business!

MLM Realites of Prospects You Know.

Have you ever gotten a negative response from a person you know about your network marketing home business?

How do you respond to your friends that come against your home based business?

What did you do to move your mlm business forward?

There are certain cold hard realties of this home based business profession, and if you understand a few things about the people you know, your life will go a whole lot easier and you will smile more.

Understand the Realities of Getting Started in this Business:

When they first got started, all successful Resellers/Distributors have experienced the same emotions that you are experiencing or will experience- positve or negative.

There are three Realities that you MUST know about starting this business and people you know:

 1) You will find that some people aren’t immediately interested in your NETWORK MARKETING when you first tell them about it, and that’s okay because they will most likely still be interested in your Membership and products, and they’ll probably purchase them from you.

Why aren’t they interested?

Many people are too focused on living their lives the way they currently are, and aren’t open to living a more exciting, growth-oriented, income-expanding life. Many are living paycheck to paycheck, and simply do not believe there is any other way to live.

2) Not everyone is going to be as positive as you are, and some of the people you approach might even be a little negative.

 NOTE: Don’t Take It Personally.

You will run into people that are negative, and some can be VERY negative as that is just who they are and what they do.

That is just the way it is.

In this  great profession they are called “Dream Stealers,” and many times they are the people closest to you – Spouse, relatives, and friends.

DO NOT LET THEM STEAL YOUR DREAMS OF A BETTER and More Rewarding LIFE though NETWORK MARKETING!

Understand that they have not seen what you’ve seen, and don’t know what you know yet, so you shouldn’t necessarily expect them to believe and embrace what you have. Accept that some folks will be negative no matter what you are doing, and if they are not open to the Products, then ask for referrals and move on.

 3) It is an effective numbers game, and if you understand that, you can win BIG in NETWORK MARKETING!

You must talk to people about your NETWORK MARKETING business. Some people will talk to a few, and then their businesses start rolling! Others will have to talk to many more, but still win BIG ultimately!

There is no accepted average of the number of people you need to talk to. It is different for everybody. You are just looking for good customers, and good Resellers. If anyone is negative with you, understand this:

They don’t intend to be hurtful; they simply do not understand what you are doing.

Don’t argue. You will learn later with your company what to say about your mlm network marketing home business.

Have you ever tried to get a new person off to a fast start in your mlm home husiness?

Did it ever not go so weel/

Have you ever gotten off to a quick start in your home based business and did everything perfect?

I believe that that part of that process is going through the paperwork-online or offline- and  learning the business building tools that are avaialable. That included any online tools as well. You will find more better tools at makersfestival.

How do you get a New Reseller or Leader off to a quick start?

Those new NETWORK MARKETING Resellers that START are the ones who have the chance of becoming STARS!

You MUST Get Started in NETWORK MARKETING. Understand that the people you share your business with WILL MIRROR what you do.

It’s called:

The Rule Of DATP!

 “Duplication Always Takes Place!”

What will they be duplicating?  Will it be a Rapid Pace for Success?  Or will it be a Turtle
Pace for Building?  Either is ok, as each will build your NETWORK MARKETING business.
Whatever you do, odds are, your people will take that as a clue, and do the same thing.

“It is easier to Work this business FAST… than Slow!”

Slow Pace can increase frustration, and procrastination.  Think FAST PACE, to get
your business going.

OK, now you are ready to get your business going!

What is the first thing that has to happen concerning the company tools?

Go over them as well as the paperwork.

 1) The first thing that we need to address is your application.
How does enrollment in NETWORK MARKETING work?  What is the enrollment process from start to completion?  Make sure you understand this process, and are able to teach it simply and thoroughly. If you have any questions, ask your
sponsor or NETWORK MARKETING corporate office.

 2) Next, let’s cover the Order Form, and what decisions need to be made before you or someone you enroll orders.  Understand that wherever you started with your initial investment of Membership or products to get your business started will become a “Silent Standard” for your group. What standard do you want to set?

We recommend that the best place for a new Reseller to start is somewhere between ‘Scared and Nervous.’

That could be $195.00 to one person, could be $495.00+ to another, but either way, it’s got to be an amount that’ll motivate you to get out the door in the morning or at night and share the business and incredible product line.

 3) Go over any other forms and necessary documents (online as well) with your sponsor, and learn how to properly complete them. Make sure you review them ALL! Necessary Forms include your “Contact List” which should include everyone you know well and others you know by association.

 4) Review the company literature, brochures, catalogues, and any marketing tools that are available to you in your Reseller Training System. Become familiar with EACH NETWORK MARKETING brochure and catalogues and its purpose. Then you will know with whom it will be appropriate to share it. Don’t memorize it, but understand its POWER to communicate the NETWORK MARKETING message! You can check ecdel for more about network marketing.

 5) Next, go over any and all CDs, audios, DVDs, conference calls/web casts and other website tools that are available. Learn the NETWORK MARKETING message of each tool, so you’ll be familiar with which ones to use when you retail the product and when you recruit. You need to order adequate supplies of each so you have them in your “Success Tool Kit.” Find out the time and webcast url or conference call number of the next company Recruiting call, and have a guest on it!

How do you “close” someone when you want to recruit them into your direct sales business?

I did a post a while back, called “7 Biggest Mistakes Made in Closing the MLM Prospect” you may want to check out as it really will help you recruit. And it will help you in your Closing efforts as well.

There are many “secrets’ that you can learn and use, but when I was rocking and rolling, I was blessed to have an INSANE recruiting and closing ratio.

How do you do that?

Simple.

It is a combination of Psychology and “Close-ology.”

And using that combination, you will be shocked at how that works for your recruiting efforts.

There are 7 MORE “Closing Secrets” that I want to share with you, and I would suggest you learn them and engage them in everything you do.

Here are the 7:

1. You Never stop talking and talk yourself right out of the sale/partnership.

In closing it is important that you let the prospect reveal to you how joining your business will help improve their current situation. You MUST focus on that and that is what is called “the Closing Magnet.”  It will PULL THEM IN. It is important to let the prospect reveal as much as possible about them. You must shut up and listen.

2. You Display Weak Posture, Timidity, and Hestitancy.

You MUST understand that you must come across with AUTHORITY. Posture IS authority. You must have posture. To overcome this you must not fear rejection, the word “no,” or people not respondig back to you.. In closing you must BEGIN STRONG….but also END STRONG.

3. You Believe the prospect’s excuses and negative words.

When prospects give you an excuse, all it means is that their objections or words are rooted in 2 things: Fear and Worry. You have TOTAL control over this situation and results. You  must intervene and get them out of that fearful or worried state of mind.

4. YOu Don’t stick to the proven script or Talking Points.

I am a big fan of “Talking Points.” And of course, certain types of scripts or talking point. When using a proven script ot talking Points, it is important that you don’t let your ego get in the way and use it. Scripts and Talking Points are designed for a reason and of you try to add and subtract you could subtract yourself out of a sale or business partner.

5. You Get Defensive and Irritated.

Okay so you keep your posture but become defensive when you hear an objection like “ I need to think about it, ” or “I am not sure…” as it is okay to help ease the prospect fear  of course, but you must maintain your authority, power, and posture. Do not go off on them and try to make them feel bad.

6. You Totally Dominate the conversation.

It is not cool to do all the talking and focus on the words “me,” “I,” “mine,” or “my.”  80%. That’s the percentage that the prospect should talk, and you listen. This is critical that you do this, as often when you dominate the conversation, you dominate the prospect away from you.

7. You Display Lack of Leadership.

Closing is LEADING.

Let me repeat that.

CLOSING is LEADING the prospect, not just trying to get the application or sale.

Make sure that you are in a Leadership mind set and engage the leading principles that are needed. “I have an idea…let’s do this…”  “I believe that the next thing we need to do is…”  “How do you feel about locking arms and partnering up with me and together we rock this thing?”
