MLM Training- 3 Little Known Ways to Make Sales through Social Media

MLM Social Media Marketing.

Would you like to know 3 ways that you can make sales using social media for your home business?

Are you using social media for your network marketing business?

Are you building a list of customers for your mlm business?

I read a LOT and one of the things I read is Smartbriefs, and I LOVE their newsletter. Here is an article from their newsletter, and from Duct Tape Marketing.

Smart salespeople have learned to tap the power of social media, but sadly, many companies still see social media tools and networks as a pointless and even scary place for their sales teams to focus.

social sellingIt’s amazing to me that this mentality remains. I realize that there is potential for confusion if sales reps are left “out in the wild” to create their own messages and brand assets, but the downside of restraining this powerful approach is far greater.

Today’s qualified prospect is often far easier to find and reach using social channels.

Today’s prospect often shares invaluable buying signals and data via social channels.

My first job out of college was a sales job and I recall one of my mentors coaching me on the ways to scan a prospect’s office for clues to information that might provide conversation starters and common ground. Things like diplomas, photos and awards were data points for relationship building.

Today this data, as well as information about buying patterns, challenges, company culture and news that may impact purchasing needs, is often shared freely in social networks.

There’s a famous saying that’s often applied to the world of business –

It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.

The influx of social behavior in the sales environment has transformed this equation to – It’s not who you know, it’s what you know about who you know.

And it’s never been easier to know a great deal more about who you know.

While the process of sales may always involve face to face education and persuasion, many elements of prospecting, relationship building and adding value can be greatly aided through the consistent use of social media.

Mining

Blending social media data into CRM systems is becoming commonplace, but smart salespeople are taking it much deeper by mining networks like Twitter to develop and save searches related to their products and services.

When someone complains about or asks about something related to their search they may find an open invitation to start a conversation with a prospect.

Your lead mining toolbox might include:

  • Twilerts – a service that sends you alerts via email when your search terms are used on Twitter.
  • Google Alerts – a free service that sends alerts for your chosen search terms when they are found in Google.
  • TweetDeck – a free app that allows you to monitor Twitter for search terms and follow selected lists of Twitter users.
  • Google Reader – a free tool that allows you subscribe to and read RSS feeds. By subscribing the blogs and news feeds of prospect companies you can scan for important nuggets. I also use the Reeder app on my iPhone to make it easier to scan and share content I find.

Connecting

Mining social networks is only part of the equation. Social networks are all about connecting and, in many cases, discovering who is connected to whom. Using research tools such as InsideView or SalesLoft can open unlock potential opportunities for connection.

A particularly useful tool for following job changes, a tremendous network connecting practice, is JobChangeAlerts.com. This tool mines LinkedIn and alerts you to profile changes in your network.

Engaging

A great deal of relationship building energy is focused on getting and closing the deal, but as most sales professionals know, the long term money is in continuing to grow the relationship after the sale. This is where loyalty, repeat purchases and referrals happen.

This is where socially enabled tools for content sharing, filtering and curating shine. One of the best ways to establish increased value is to provide value in ways that may be, or at least seem to be, unrelated to the products and services you offer.

I believe that some service providers are being chosen these days based on their ability to find and share the good stuff in addition to making sense of the changing stuff.

Your Engaging toolbox might include:

  • Using your Google Reader play to create industry specific feeds.
  • Using tools such as Storify or Scoop.it to create custom pages.
  • Using Q and A sites like Quora to hone in on key industry challenges.

The changing world of sales has in some ways become more complex and in others more open, but one thing will likely never change – the sales professional that consistently finds ways to offer more value will win for your mlm network marketing home based business.

MLM Sales and Marketing Training.

Are YOU using sales in your home business?

Are you adept a making sales for your mlm company?

Would you like to know some sales secrets that work online AND offline?

Sales and Marketing are a part of your home business and network marketing business. It requires the right things to happen for things to happen like you want them to. Influencer marketing is focuses on using key leaders to drive your brand’s message to the larger market. Rather than marketing directly to a large group of consumers, you instead inspire / hire / pay influencers to get out the word for you. Influencer Marketing often goes hand-in-hand with two other forms of marketing: social-media marketing and content marketing. Most influencer campaigns have some sort of social-media component, whereby influencers are expected to spread the word through their personal social channels. Many influencer campaigns also carry a content element in which either you create content for the influencers, or they create the content themselves. Though social-media and content marketing often fit inside influencer campaigns, they are not synonymous with influencer marketing.

You may be confident in your real estate marketing skills, but if you’re like most Realtors, you know more about helping customers buy and sell houses than you do about marketing. You may not consider real estate marketing services to be the greatest marketer, though.

I read a lot.

On planes.

In hotels.

In cabs.

On my mobile.

Almost anywhere.

ALL the time.

To learn more so I can become more. You should as well. In my daily pursuit of excellence, I run across great articles and posts all the time that are a part of marketing and sales and leadership, but maybe not a part of the  home business profession. I recently ran across an article on SalesBriefs– and GREAT place to learn more for  the sales experts and I have had some articles on there as well.

I want to share a part of an article with you that I was blown away by as it truly is applicable to our profession. It comes from Dirk willard, who actually writes for chemical sales folks. But this time he has something that can apply to the home business professional and wanted to share it with you:

Here is a part of the article you can find on the salesbrief home page: (Not ALL is applicable to our profession but most parts are- GOOD stuff!)

Despite e-mails and other modern conveniences, selling still is best done face-to-face.

You must believe in yourself and your product.

Selling is about infecting the buyer with your enthusiasm for your product. Buying is an emotional experience.

Your goal is to build a strong working relationship with the person who actually can hire you — hopefully, one that lasts for years. Be honest but guarded, generous but firm about necessary profits, and committed to the project but available to spend time on others.

Choose your words carefully, listen to the tone of your voice, read the client’s mind if you can.

Walk in the person’s shoes. And, never ever bad-mouth the competition — it creates negativity and begs critical comparisons.

Qualify the client. Is the person merely collecting bids or really shopping? Try to arrange a face-to-face meeting with the actual decision-maker.

Ideally you’ll want to sole-source a contract. That means you must offer something the client can’t get elsewhere or some essential expertise. Take care during this process to control trade secrets; a client could become a competitor.

Balancing expertise with likeability is one of the toughest things a salesperson must do.

Many times a client is an inexperienced engineer who may feel threatened by the salesperson’s know-how and smarts.

Put the client at ease by asking lots of questions and gently helping whenever you have to fill in the gaps.

Perhaps the easiest ploy for winning is to appeal to the client’s ambition for personal advancement — hiring you could help. A tour of your engineering firm is a must, but focus on the client’s specialty or other pertinent departments. If the person is a chemical engineer, just mentioning you have a structural engineer should suffice.

Now that the client knows your name, make sure it’s remembered when there’s a contract to be won.

That’s where bidding comes in. Don’t let a salesperson write the estimate alone. Make sure to include the following costs: 1) business development; 2) bid preparation and negotiation; 3) project team orientation; 4) meetings and reviews, and; 5) idle time.

After bidding comes closing. This can be the most difficult phase of a sale. Remind the client that your bid has an expiration date but don’t be annoying — keep the enthusiasm going.

Meet face-to-face as much as possible. Assure the client of your undivided attention, even if that’s not strictly true; after all, to make money, you want your team busy on numerous projects simultaneously. This will help dispel your natural hungriness for the contract.

The final phase involves not just delivering the product but bolstering the prospects of winning future work. The salesperson should act as liaison between the client and the project manager, and help resolve any issues.

Building a good reputation can play a big role in securing future business.

This is a GREAT article on the sales and marketing process for the mlm network marketing home business profession.

MLM Training–LEARNING THE BUSINESS BUILDING TOOLS

“It’s the START that STOPS most people!”

Anonymous

Have you ever tried to get a new person off to a fast start in your mlm home husiness?

Did it ever not go so weel/

Have you ever gotten off to a quick start in your home based business and did everything perfect?

I believe that that part of that process is going through the paperwork-online or offline- and  learning the business building tools that are avaialable. That included any online tools as well. You will find more better tools at makersfestival.

How do you get a New Reseller or Leader off to a quick start?

Those new NETWORK MARKETING Resellers that START are the ones who have the chance of becoming STARS!

You MUST Get Started in NETWORK MARKETING. Understand that the people you share your business with WILL MIRROR what you do.

It’s called:

The Rule Of DATP!

 “Duplication Always Takes Place!”

What will they be duplicating?  Will it be a Rapid Pace for Success?  Or will it be a Turtle
Pace for Building?  Either is ok, as each will build your NETWORK MARKETING business.
Whatever you do, odds are, your people will take that as a clue, and do the same thing.

“It is easier to Work this business FAST… than Slow!”

Slow Pace can increase frustration, and procrastination.  Think FAST PACE, to get
your business going.

OK, now you are ready to get your business going!

What is the first thing that has to happen concerning the company tools?

Go over them as well as the paperwork.

 1) The first thing that we need to address is your application.
How does enrollment in NETWORK MARKETING work?  What is the enrollment process from start to completion?  Make sure you understand this process, and are able to teach it simply and thoroughly. If you have any questions, ask your
sponsor or NETWORK MARKETING corporate office.

 2) Next, let’s cover the Order Form, and what decisions need to be made before you or someone you enroll orders.  Understand that wherever you started with your initial investment of Membership or products to get your business started will become a “Silent Standard” for your group. What standard do you want to set?

We recommend that the best place for a new Reseller to start is somewhere between ‘Scared and Nervous.’

That could be $195.00 to one person, could be $495.00+ to another, but either way, it’s got to be an amount that’ll motivate you to get out the door in the morning or at night and share the business and incredible product line.

 3) Go over any other forms and necessary documents (online as well) with your sponsor, and learn how to properly complete them. Make sure you review them ALL! Necessary Forms include your “Contact List” which should include everyone you know well and others you know by association.

 4) Review the company literature, brochures, catalogues, and any marketing tools that are available to you in your Reseller Training System. Become familiar with EACH NETWORK MARKETING brochure and catalogues and its purpose. Then you will know with whom it will be appropriate to share it. Don’t memorize it, but understand its POWER to communicate the NETWORK MARKETING message! You can check ecdel for more about network marketing.

 5) Next, go over any and all CDs, audios, DVDs, conference calls/web casts and other website tools that are available. Learn the NETWORK MARKETING message of each tool, so you’ll be familiar with which ones to use when you retail the product and when you recruit. You need to order adequate supplies of each so you have them in your “Success Tool Kit.” Find out the time and webcast url or conference call number of the next company Recruiting call, and have a guest on it!
