Article Marketing go hand in hand. The two are made for each other. One is a vehicle and the other helps drive the engine.

Article marketing I have been doing for nearly 10 years. It has been an amazing way to meet people as well as get a message out.

And of course, to train as well as educate the folks on some pretty cool things. Ahem.

Now I am going to get up on my soap box.

Recently I have been observing some articles that are…well…let’s just say are less than quality content. Ezine articles got smart. Chris Knight over at ezinearticles.com decided to go to 500 words per articles because a lot of articles were disguised advertisements for a lot of affiliate marketing, MLM, as well as internet marketing scams.

It is all over the place. Low quality articles that are deceptive at best.

I just shake my head when it comes to social media articles and what I call  the teaching and practice of “Deception Marketing.”

It is a total lack of ethics and integrity.

I am amazed by a lot of the social networking articles on the article marketing resources. Many neophytes in network marketing and social media try to come across as network marketing “experts” and social media “experts.” And when a little research is done-you find that many of the authors have not even been in the business 5 years- or even 3. They simply are doing what they have been taught to do and doing it over and over.

And they pitch and sell-pitch and sell- and pitch and sell.

Nothing wrong with that I guess.

Or is that really what articles are supposed to do?

And another thing I have found is that many of their articles contain little or no training or any useful  information that will help people in their issues with life.

Now I have a REAL issue with that.

If you are honestly going to write an article as an “expert” – then give them expert advice, training, or something of VALUE.

COME ON folks!

Tough to do-if you have not done it. I have done it a lot-and done it in a big way. The training articles of Deception Marketing also contain mostly the same old warmed over stuff- the same ideas, tactics, and the same verbiage that has been out in the article directories for years. I call it “Recycled Mold.”  The info is so old, it contains marketing mold.

What happened to the USP? Or even being unique and SETTING YOURSELF APART?

Or even branding yourself as something different?

Well, maybe I am wrong- but I believe there are 5 Elements that a Network Marketing Social Media article should contain on any article resource directory in Article Marketing:

1) Unique training and information-NOT just useless selling.

Many people are looking for SOLUTIONS-not to be sold something. I have a lot of emails that people are asking why that all the trainings in these directories are a bait ands switch? They promise training but end up getting pitched on the newest deal or “opportunity.”

Been there as well as I have taken the time to look up other topics in article directories and found that good old Deception Marketing. And again- having a resource box with an offer is GREAT and that is how you do it. But let’s just not pitch in the article itself. It gives all of the authors in MLM /Social Media a black eye and bad rap.

GIVE some training / information as that is expected in an article is it not? That is what “experts” do- if there is really such a thing. GIVE something UNIQUE that will HELP people- and solve a problem for them. You will be taking your articles up to a whole new level. Get rid of the same ol same ol and THINK like an expert- write like an expert- and get creative like an expert would. That is the minimum we all should do.

2) A SOLUTION that has PROVEN to WORK.

THAT is imperative. If you are going to get in the article network marketing and social media marketing zone- make your article SOLUTION focused– not selling focused. That is what a Social Media and MLM “expert” does.

People are seeking answers to problems. They are looking for how to’s-not “here -buy this.” Create a solution for people- a REAL solution-not something that is disguised as one to sell something. Build your credibility, not your gullibility.

3) A Presentation- not a Pitch.

Articles are an information source- and a training haven. Professional authors understand that you want to create a BOND and RELATIONSHIP with the person reading your article. They will stay with you and read your blog and other articles. THAT is money in the bank. They will become raving fans of yours- instead of resentful foes that feel cheated by your article.

If you PITCH someone in your article- you have developed a short term relationship. If you PRESENT a solution or an answer- you are well on your way to developing a long term relationship-the secret to successful article marketing.

4) Your Article must contain IMPACT.

Impact is the key to a great article. Your article must create a “Wow” impact- and show them you are a TRUE expert-not someone pretending to be. The social media “gurus” teach personal branding. We have for years as well. But it takes 3 things to be branded as an Expert:

TIME.

EXPERIENCE.

CREATIVE KNOWLEDGE.

Impact is a fruit of “been there-done that” and the social proof that you are truly an expert. Impact is a fruit of having the KNOWLEDGE that experts that can Impact people in a powerful way. And Impact is taking a “TINY” focus- “Their Interests Not Yours.” Their interest in your article for the most part, is learning and solving. Make sure that your article has that within it- and you will have the impact to move people to want to know more about you.

5) Your Article MUST Contain ENOUGH Content AND – Content that is Valuable and Worth Reading.

I see a lot of “articles” of 75-100-words that only there for one reason it seems–to point to the resource box. THAT is what I call an “Article Pitch” or “Pretend Article.” It is PURE Deception Marketing. They use an article to “pitch” their offer and dilute all of the other articles in the directory.

There used to be a commercial asking “Where’s the BEEF?” Well- Where’s the Content? And many of the article directories today have gone to a minimum of 600 words to insure there IS content that is worth reading.

Now yes, there are really good articles in these directories from some really great writers. It is not all “fake it and write it.” There are great newer authors as well as older ones–that are VALUE focused– not Volume focused.

One is focused on giving Value to the reader- and the other to sell Volume for themselves. One is short term and the other is long term.

Guess which one is the most successful at building business? Yep- the Value focused article that delivers.

I have been blessed to write the last 8 years over 1000 on line published articles on over 300 directories-so I know a little bit about this. Let’s quit pretending to be authors and start giving TRUE Value first- THEN build a connection with the reader about what you have to offer.

It is CONNECT –> DIRECT–> BUILD.

Connect with the reader with TRUE Solution Based Value. Direct them to your offer through your resource box. Build a relationship with them then, through a blog,conference calls, or newsletter.

Folks, as we say from my home state of Texas: This ain’t rocket science. It is simply understanding the process.

You will have so much more success in your Social Network Marketing efforts if you are HONEST and INTEGRITABLE about your writing and delivering content via article marketing. If you oppose Deception Marketing like I do, great. if you practice it then do not be surprised if you stay frustrated with your MLM Network Marketing Home Business.

But….

Sometimes it is as good to know what NOT TO DO as well. Mistakes in this profession can not only kill your business, but also your dreams and ambition for Success. if i had not studied Success and leadership, and understood this, I might not be writing this today. I might be flipping hamburgers or something. You never KNOW!

Over the last 25 years, I have found there are 10 big mistakes that are made over and over, and most often do not realize they are making them. So to help you in your MLM Home Business, here are the Top 10 Mistakes that are made in MLM and Network Marketing home business:

1) Listening to People Who Have Never Succeeded.

Amazing.

People that have never really succeeded at anything in their life suddenly become the authority on Success, and try to talk you out of this amazing profession. Do NOT let that happen, as that is like listening to a garage mechanic when you have a serious heart problem- or a tree farmer when you have need of surgery- or vice versa.

Listen to those who have done it and are willing to help you in your home business. I cannot tell you how many people told me not to waste my time when I got started. These people nearly pulled me out of this home business profession. Today, they look at  me and say I got “lucky” and could not repeat the Success.

Wrong. It is amazing how people are when you prove them wrong. Even your family.

2) Talking About the Past and what has Not Happened – Constantly.

Folks- THE PAST is OVER. MOVE ON. Do NOT dwell in the past. It is history. LEARN from the past- but do not re-live it or live in it everyday. It simply is too damaging to your dreams for your home business in MLM.

The secret to succeeding outrageously during hard times is keeping you and your prospects- FORWARD FOCUSED. Keep them looking toward where you are TAKING THEM– not what has already taken them.

Did you GET THAT? Keep them focused on where you are taking them- not what someone has said or got them to believe that has taken them for a ride of mediocrity in life.

3) Saying You are Going to Keep Trying.

Although it is Noble and admirable, THAT is a mistake! As trying in network marketing promotes weakness and is bound for mediocrity and will never be anything except the language for the failure.

There is no TRY- it is either ENGAGE- to not. It is either TAKE ACTION or not .

If you take action saying “I am going to try,” then what you are really saying is “I am going to give a half hearted effort and see what happens.”

How about- “I am going to hit this one out of the park – no matter what anyone says. I am finished trying- I am now in the Victory Mode!”

People will FEEL that from you- and respond accordingly. People follow winners and Leaders.

4) Talking to the Same Market.

Get out of your comfort zone in your home business market- and go find some people you don’t know and change their lives. Quit talking with people in the same mindset as everyone else that has told you NO. Get out- interrupt your pattern you have developed- and start a new one.

Get Uncomfortable- as that is the secret to Success in a Home Business. Talk to people you do not know to stretch your possibilities and grow your skills.

Hold 2 Conversations a day with NEW people you do not know. CONNECT with them in the social media arena, or out in the grocery store. Now you are talking a wealth mindset.

The 2 Most important 2 words to create New Success: “New Conversations.”

5) Continuing using the Same language that has proven NOT to Work.

Patterns and Routines can kill your success. Especially one that do NOT WORK.

Many people will continue to talk themselves out of this business. They will continue to say, “I hope this works,” “Well, I will see what happens,” “I am just not good at this.”

WRONG! You are GREAT at this!

Release that part of you deep inside. Quit talking the language of the Mediocre and putting yourself down. When you do that, unknowingly, you are programming yourself for that to happen.

Change your language- and focus.

Start focusing on what you are going to SUCCEED at. Start talking your “Success Language.” “This next quarter is going to be the best 3 months of my life- and my business is going to be INCREDIBLE- no matter what recession happens. I am going to show people how to thrive during it.”

6) Going the Same Places as You Always Have.

Change your locations that you do business. WHAT??? I LOVE My grocery store. Great. Just go to a different one for some frozen food and start new conversations with people you do not know.

Folks,  THIS INCLUDES Social Media. Find new niche sites. Find new social networking sites that few are working. Find new groups on facebook and LinkedIn and join them, and then start befriending them.

LEARN THIS: The Huge Success  you are looking for will be hidden in conversations that you were afraid to Start.

7) Thinking You are a Part Time Distributor or Consultant.

You are in a part time wealth vehicle. And you are NOT just a part time rep. You are working a secondary business that will end up being your primary income. (READ THAT AGAIN.)

If you just got that- then people will start feeling something totally different in your words- and start responding in a different manner as well.

MYTH: You have to leave your kids and family to work this business as it needs to be worked!

Wrong. You do NOT have to constantly leave your life and go and work this business leaving your family behind. That is a formula for stress and guilt. You work this business as you live your life. You take it with you. You leave it behind with people. You let it talk while you do what you do when you are living your life.

It is called ‘Lifestyle Marketing.” You live your lifestyle and work your business as you do. Let off the pressure and guilt. Live your life- and take your business with you and talk to people as you are out and about. Talk to people about who they know. Talk to people about how you love your secondary business- as it is portable and flexible.

You will FEEL SO Much better. People will be thinking, ” Now, I can do THAT!”

9) Following Up, and NOT Following Through.

Most people do not know this, but when you think “follow up,” you are totally agenda driven and people FEEL that in your words and in your actions. It has a “I want something” tone to it.

A “Follow through” is a SHIFT– and it is not wanting something- but COMPLETING something. And psychologically, people will respond to that in a much more powerful fashion. We taught that to our Leaders for years- and they ‘got it.”

The secret to Phil Mickelson’s mind boggling golf game- according to him- is his Follow Through. If your follow through is great, everything before it worked too. He COMPLETES the golf swing– not just takes one.

Follow through has a whole different feel to the prospect than follow up. If you do that, you will see what I mean. People LOVE the Feeling of someone completing something.

Why? Many folks simply do not so that.

10) Thinking it is what you DO that will create Success for you the Next 90 Days.

Let me be clear about something- ALL actions taken produce results. Right or Wrong. Most people get the wrong results continually.

Why?

It is NOT about taking action that will produce Success for you in the next 90 days. Millions will take action and still struggle in their home business– with network marketing, social media, internet marketing, and whatever they do.

It is NOT about Action- but what is BEHIND THE ACTION.

It is not that a race car can go 250 miles per hours that is pushing it. It is what is behind it and inside of it that makes that possible. Same way for an athlete. It is what is BEHIND the action and Inside of it that drives it. It is the same way in a great presentation. It is the emotion BEHIND it that drives it. Same way in Networking.

It is how you PURPOSELY SEE the result in your mind-which then takes over and influences your actions dramatically-almost “programming” of sorts what will happen. It is kind of cool how God made that, and it really is powerful.

Image the Success result that you want in an action and then once you have soaked your brain with it continually- then take the action- expecting that result. If it does not work a once- keep going, it will. Been doing that for years.

Actions are great to take- no doubt- but Imaged Actions are the type of actions that TAKE YOU- to a whole new level of result.

Stir them Emotionally with NEW information that they can apply, or move them with:

a) HOPE of solving a problem.

b) A HOW TO they have been looking for and seeking.

d) A DISCOVERY of a new website, new podcast, blog, or video that will MOVE THEM emotionally and give them something that they find valuable.

Become KNOWN that YOU are a deliverer of Practical, Powerful, and Unique  information, that points to your message or product. Example: if you market a nutritional product- give out GREAT nutritional tips that will help people via blog posts, articles, videos, or any other media that works for your message.

I call it “Sample Results.” Give them some “samples” of results they can achieve by listening to you and purchasing your products. You do this with great, valuable information they can use.

STIR THEIR EMOTIONS with IMPACT. If you do this, your power to move people will explode.

3) INVITE.

There is a powerful tactic that is all part of social media marketing. We call it the “TIO Factor.”

TAKE IT OFFLINE.

To really market to people in social media, you must Take It Offline. You want to establish a more personal and trust soaked relationship. You rarely can do that by just being online.

You do this, by inviting people to special conference calls, training webinars, live online seminars, and local meetups. This is where you can EXPAND YOUR MESSAGE and EXPLODE your INFLUENCE on a more personal and face to face basis.

Whether facebook or LinkedIn, you can invite people to offline events that will create a more intimate and powerful CONNECTION with them, and you provide even MORE POWERFUL and USEFUL information to the prospect base on the call or webinar. This will POSITION YOU as someone that is worthy of being listened  to, and will dramatically increase your perceived expertise in your industry. And You can do the offline event yourself, or do it with multiple guest speakers. You can find events with 4 or 5 people that are the speakers or trainers that bring amazing value to anyone online.

Take It offline to MOVE PEOPLE even closer to you and your message/product.

4) IMPROVE.

This is THE PEOPLE MOVER.

Show people how YOU, YOUR HOME BUSINESS MESSAGE, or YOUR PRODUCTS can IMPROVE, INCREASE, MULTIPLY, or ENLARGE people’s lives and interests, and they will beat a path to your door, and multiply your message all over the internet.

You can also use social search engines as well to Listen to what is being said. And you can also hire great companies that do that for you, like Radian6. But Conversation is about BOTH Talking and Listening. You MUST know what is being said out in the social sphere.

And here is a tip: Make the person GLAD THEY TALKED WITH YOU. Make them the star of your conversation- not your ego. There are way too many one sided conversations out in Social Media. Keep the conversation focused on who you are ‘talking” to and encourage them, as well as guide them to larger possibilities.

Change the Size of their Conversations and you will change their life.

3) Thou Shalt know that VALUE is the Magnet in Social media, and reigns supremely.

Value is King in Social Media. But not just average Value or expected Value. I am talking about Unexpected Surprising Value.Value that is so much that people talk about it and virally market it like crazy. This is how a new “buzz” starts. By creating a Huge Value with a blog post, free giveaways, new ideas, new software applications, discovery of little known information , news stories, and “how to’s” and the list is almost endless of the Value you can bring.

The amount of Value you bring to Home business Social Media will always equal the amount of Impact you have with people. And that Impact either moves people TOWARDS you, or keeps them where they are. Either they become your friend and “follow you,” or they do not see any reason to. That is up to the Value they perceive in what you send out as your message and intentions.

4) Thou Shalt Know the Three R’s of Social Media.

Social Media is pretty simple. It is mainly about 3 things:

Reaching Out.   This is critical to Reach Out  to people and let them know you want to Connect and befriend them.

Relationships.   Once you have Reached Out, you start building a Relationship of Trust and Value.

Respect.   Respect in Social Media is earned, not just given. And you earn that Respect with consistent and powerful content with Value, great conversations that move folks, Integrity and ethics above all, encouraging others, offering solutions, and helping people to larger and more powerful possibilities in their life and business.

 5) Thou Shalt BRAND Your Message, Product, and Yourself Consistently, Visibly, and Uniquely.

Everyone talks Branding as that is a must to do in Social Media. But here is where it can get tricky. You brand multiple things all at once. YOU are the brand- sort of. The first thing you need to brand is your Image and who you are, and you do this with a picture or avatar of yourself that shows who you are on your profile. This can also include a corporate logo for a company as well. Chris Brogan has branded a picture of who he is on his blog. The second thing you need to brand is your Message.

This is what you want to become known for, and people think about when they think of you. Scott Monty has branded Ford Motors as part of his brand effectively and powerfully. The third thing you want to brand is your product and what Value it has that makes it UNIQUE and One of a kind. The product can be information that you market, actual products that are shipped out, services like consulting or accounting, or any other type of product that you have to market that people will see a need for.

All a Brand is, is Image + Message + Impact + Consistent Visibility = Perception.

Your Image is what people SEE in their minds, Message is what people HEAR in their memory, Impact is what people FEEL in their hearts, and Visibility is what reminds people that you are there. Perception then becomes your Brand.

Branding is not about just being remembered, or becoming known. It is about becoming totally UNFORGETTABLE. ™ THAT is a powerful brand.

6) Thou shalt Expand your Experience Through Social Site Applications.

Applications are developed software and are what Social Sites have available that make your experience more fun, useful, and productive. The most applications are generally found on the most active sites and usually are free. Twtter has over 150 applications, facebook has hundreds of applications, as well as many other Social sites out there. Many applications are very useful and written by outside people for the Social sites.

Learn what applications are available on each site that you are a part of, and choose the ones that you believe will work for you the best and increase your exposure, conversations, and productivity.

7) Thou Shalt GIVE freely, and be willing to Lose Control of your Information.

Giving is what Social Media is all about. Many folks are talking about ‘Influence” and what it takes to create it in Social Media. That one is simple: GIVE.

GIVE stands for “Gain Influence Very Easily.” And when you give, and then give some more, the power of Influence that develops is amazing.

And losing control of your information is part of it as well. Most folks want to CONTROL their information, their marketing strategies, as well as their results. That is part of traditional marketing. But what if you could blend traditional with the non- traditional? Let some of your information go. Give it away freely and let it be virally marketed by others.

Build TRUST and do it everyday. Be honest. Be a person of integrity. Be a person that people can feel good about and know you are there to help enlarge their life. Be a Leader that people are willing to follow. And build Trust in your message, actions, conversations, branding, videos, blog posts, and any other form of exposure that you take in Social Media.

The Rule of TRUST:Relationships are the tiles for the platform of Social Media. Trust is the glue.

9) Thou Shalt become Tribal, and enroll in groups, attend events, and empower the Community.

There is a reason it is called SOCIAL Media. being part of what is called a “tribe” or community is what Social Media is about. This is one of the CORE powers of web 2.0

Connecting, Relating, Reaching, and Conversations are ALL a part of building a Community in Social Media, as well as “Niche sites’ that can be that much more tribal. What you have in common with people helps build the Community.

What you bring to the table to grow that community is GOLD.

10) Thou Shalt Have a Host Mentality with a Permission Focus.

In Social Media, it is much like a party you hold in your living room. I did a post recently called “Social Media is your Living Room.” If you were in your living room, you would be playing HOST and inviting people in, talking with them, being social, making recommendations and giving advice, showing photographs off or watching videos, and introducing the crowd to each other. That is much what Social Media is about- HOSTING.

With a small twist. You need to ASK PERMISSION to give them advice and make recommendations, as well as introduce them to the others in your living room. That is not hard to do. And if you have permission to do this, it is much easier to get them Comfortable with you, Connected with you, holding a Conversation with you, if it feels like your Living Room.

Play the Host, and ask Permission. That is being Powerful and Polite at the same time.

Home business owner–Which One are You?

 There is much talk today about a “recession” and all that goes along with it. Just listen to the radio and watch TV, read the newspaper, and look on the internet.But then, I do not really pay that much attention to any of those, as I know where I stand with this so called “recession.” That is the reason for this home business training.

 How about you?

Where do you stand?

How do you feel about it?

What are your plans for it?

If you think about it, there are certain people in the world that will thrive in the midst of all this economic “woe is me the sky is falling” talk.

 How about you?

  Are you buying into this lockstep economic fear talk?

 I know.

 You may think that I am crazy, and am not living in “reality.”

 But I am. Very much so.

 And I am hoping that you will join me after reading this. As you will see, there are options in the world that you may not realize.

 I was on the computer this morning, and ran across a screaming new headline, ‘Recession deepens and the world economy is impacted.” Ok. tell me something POSITIVE that will move my life forward, and move my business upward. But alas, as the story went on, the world is coming to a financial crisis that I believe much of it is being manufactured and enlarged by the media.

 Why?

 Powerful, Super Negative  news sell newspapers and broadcast airtime 100 to 1. You read that right. 100 to 1.  Ultimately, the media is in BUSINESS to make a profit. And with the lack of profit today with newspapers and TV and radio,  there seems to be a major move to SUPER NEGATIVE NEWS so that they can sell more papers and air time to hopefully create more profits.

You may think I am crazy?

 Nope- that is the Truth.

 So being that as it is, here is my question:

 Are you falling for all this “the sky is falling” news? Yes, I known there is a challenge with the economy. I have not stuck my head in the sand. But I know something that may change your thinking about this whole thing – especially in Home Based Business Social Media.

 In mlm marketing and home business training, it is called “Strategic Positioning.”

 Let me explain.

 There are only 2 types of people that are in the world concerning this so called ‘recession:”

 1) Those who decide to PARTICIPATE in this “recession.”

2) Those who decide NOT TO PARTICIPATE in this “recession.”

 Yes, we all have that choice or decision. But the real secret lies within the word “participate.”

 One of the Greek root word definitions for “participate” means “to Position.”  This means that you must choose a position – to either Join something- or NOT Join something. To Embrace something-or NOT Embrace something.

 To Connect to something- or NOT to Connect to something. ALL those words- “join,” “embrace,”and “connect,” are part of the root word “participate.” All require personal CHOICE or DECISION.

 YOU can refuse to participate in this “recession,” and move forward in social media, with a focus that will take your business and life to new heights.

 How does that work?

 Simple.

 Here is an ancient  truism; “What your mind focuses on intensely, has a tendency to move your life towards.” 

No, this is not some new age psycho-babble. This is an ancient Success Rule- “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he…” Your mind has a tendency to move your life towards people, circumstances, and things that will help create that focus in your life. We do not know how it works, only God does.

  But it works.

 When you make a decision, it “shifts” something on the inside. People FEEL that shift and respond to it. They FEEL a direction that is more appealing to them than what they have been traveling many times.

 Yes, there are the “victims” of the world and like complaining and moaning,  but you do NOT have to be a victim. You are not CALLED to be. You are called in Home business Social Media to be on the cutting edge of thinking, and a higher level of belief. So that is where you need to step up to if you have not.

 Are you aware there were more Millionaires created during the Great Depression than any other 7 year period in our nations’ history?  READ THAT AGAIN.

And this recession will create, birth, spawn a LOT of new wealth – but only to those that SEE IT, RESPOND TO IT, and “GET IT.” It all depends on what you are focused on.

 So…with that in mind, if you FOCUS ON this so called recession, your mind somehow will move you towards that focus to create that situation in your life.

If you REFUSE to participate in the recession , your mind will move your life towards something totally different, and lead you to that reality in your life.

How about YOU?

You do NOT have to. Social Media I believe will develop a different response to this misery, a higher calling above the fray, and a more powerful approach to taking CONTROL of your life, and not BEING CONTROLLED but the media and other people’s opinions.

has come a long way.

Especially in social media and social networking.

A Home based business is truly a business of communication and interaction. I have seen and experienced much interaction on may of the popular social sites and some not so popular.

I have been observing over the last couple of years words in social media and offline that PULL people into the conversation and others that seem to push them away.

I was on facebook today and saw a thread that one of the people was really pushing her skin care line and the other person was pushing to get away for  her.

Cannot blame a girl for trying to market, but there is a huge difference between a Conversation and a Presentation. She was doing the latter unknowingly.

In a home business conversation you must watch your words that you say in order not to turn the prospect off.

There is ONE word that seems to be conversation poison for some reason. If you own a home business, I would suggest that you learn what it is, and use it rarely. There are many words out there that are used for MLM but this one seems to slow down any forward movement in a lot of the social conversations I have observed as well as the traditional conversations.

What would that word be?

One used quite often by network marketing professionals.

But not SAVVY network marketing professionals.

What is that word?

COST.

That is ONE word that turns people off silently…and can be deadly in a conversation. I have seen conversations shut down totally from the use of that word. Did not matter if it was social media or in a home meeting.

It can be a KILLER of a word when it comes to a recruit or sale.

Ok…what word should you use? Fair enough.

VALUE.

I used this word for years and still do when talking to people about training or doing live events. It may not make sense to you, but let me explain.

“You asked me how much the fee is to bring me in? The Value would be <amount> per person.”

“You asked what the Value is to be able to be able to get this weight loss product? It would be 97.00”

“This really will end up costing you nothing. The Value of the product is 147.00 but the way that your skin will appear and feel after a couple of days, you will see that the Value is so much more than that.”

Get them focused ON VALUE.

Not cost.

if you do, you will find that many people that would have turned away, will continue to show interest in your MLM and Home Based business.

In Home business and MLM network marketing world, Microblogging showed up on the horizon about 5 years ago, and the world has never been the same since.

It has gone through some changes and modifications, but it is still a powerful arena to message about your business and home based business products.

Of course, there are other ways as well, but microblogging still is a powerhouse in network marketing.

What is microblogging?

Think of blogging with only 140 characters. Yep, you read that right-about 3 sentences. That is BOTTOM LINE blogging.

Yes, there is plurk,tumblr, jaiku, and many other microblogging services, but in the microblogging world, twitter rules.

And there are 5 Power Tips that will help you rule on twitter. Home business people should want to build a large following on twitter.

 It takes some effort on your part, but if you engage these tips, you will find the numbers of followers you have will increase dramatically.

Ok- what are the 5 Power Tips?

1) Become known as the “go to person” for your message and business.

You do this by broadcasting out little know information about what you do and your specialty in your home business. Scour the search engines and blog engines for articles and posts that will help people to know more about your business and products and what they are made of. And make sure that you send out mp3s and video urls as well. Become known for little known secrets and information that others are seeking.

Read that again: OTHERS ARE SEEKING!

Provide information of VALUE and Solution focused.

2) Create extraordinary content and give it to your tweeples-people that follow you on twitter.

Write something extraordinary for your home buisiness niche. Something that will define you as a player in your home based business niche. Whether it is skin care, travel, weight loss, or vitamins. Then tweet it out and watch if get virally marketed-without your effort. Extraordinary content WILL get forwarded. All you have to do is come up with it and then tweet about it to share with others. Give how to’s and solutions to issues that people are suffering with that your buisiness can help address.

3) Do an interview with an expert and then put it up on your blog, and let people know that it is there through twitter, and it’s extraordinary.

This will let people know that you are making an effort to bring the best of the best to the arena, and they will forward the interview. This could be an upline or one of the executives of your company, or one of the top earners. And you can put the url up on your profile as well if you desire. Get it out on facebook and orkut,  or even the new Google+ social media site, or any other populated social networking sites. Let the interview be a HOT topic on the twitter search engine. Get it up on friendfeed. And get creative about where else you can put it and tweet about.

4) Send a series of tweets out- a “5 part series on the secrets to <solving a problem> that your products or business will do.”

 Or whatever the title would be. Then put part one url in a tweet and send it out. The url contains the post of the first secret. Then do the second one and tweet it out. You should wait till the next day to send the second one out. But send the first part of the series and few times the first day to make sure people do not miss it. After 5 days of sending out the series- send out one last with a url to all 5 listed on a blog post. You can get a LOT of exposure with series oriented power tweets.

 

5) Ask Questions that will comple people to answer. Make them about the benefits of your products.

The message should be:

“Have you ever had this happen?” “Have you ever suffered from this?” “Do you know anyone that needs some help with their____________?” “What are your thoughts about people struggling with______?” “Have you ever thought about_______?”

These are the types of questions that will PULL the eyes of the readers toward it. CREATE some IMPACT and IMPRESSIONS with your tweets, not just words.
