MLM Network Marketing Training-How To Properly Follow-Up With Your Prospects Online So They Join Your MLM Program And Make You Money!

MLM Network Marketing Training-How To Properly Follow-Up With Your Prospects Online So They Join Your MLM Program And Make You Money!

by Christopher Sewell

Email is a fantastic follow-up tool when used correctly. One of the biggest mistakes people make on the Internet is using spam to sell their products or build their MLM business. Purchasing email addresses on CD-ROM, buying an “opt-in” lists, or safe-lists are sure ways to be accused of spamming and to get your email connection terminated by your ISP. Luckily, there is a better way. The best way to follow-up with your online prospects is by using “personalized” email. Once you have the lead in your hand, now what? You should use “personalized” follow-up messages to communicate the benefits of your program to your prospect.

MLM Direct Mail.

Using direct mail, it’s almost impossible to personalize each follow-up letter to your prospects at a reasonable cost. Yes, there are company’s that will take your database of names and do a mail merge for you. But they charge big money. You could also print off each letter on your printer, but that gets expensive with all the laser or ink jet cartridges you will use. Plus, it’s time consuming to print, fold and stuff.

Personalizing your email follow-up messages will get your prospect to pay close attention to your message. People love to see their name on things. This lets them know that it’s for them. I always get a better response from prospects when I personalize email messages to them. Just like there is mail-merge software to produce printed letters, there is email merge software to produce email messages with the prospects name all throughout the letter.

The best thing about following up using email and email merge software is that you can automate the entire process. You don’t have to query your mlm database to look for the next round of follow-up letters to go out like you would have to do using the mail. You can simply let the software I’m about to tell you about do the job for you. Once the template letter is created and the names and email addresses are loaded – just let the software do the work for you.

You can even use different follow-up letters if you like. When you’re building your MLM business on the Internet, there is absolutely no excuse for poor follow-up habits like there were when people used the mail to recruit. The software is available. You just have to get it and use it. Anyone who doesn’t is just darn lazy!

…enter MLM smart auto-responders…

These are like fax-on-demand systems. You send a message to a special email address, and the email address automatically sends a message back to the person who initiated the request. I call these “smart auto-responders” because you can setup these auto-responders to send up to 10 different messages over a 90 day period, once the first message is triggered. Each message can have the prospects name right inside the message.

Of course, you can’t have any fancy fonts or formatting. But that’s not what’s important. A good sales letter is a good sales letter…pretty formatting or not. I suggest that you schedule your follow-up letters to be sent 10 days apart. This means you can have 10 follow-up letters going to each prospect over a 90 day period. Now, this is excellent follow-up work.

You don’t have to actually create 10 different sales letters. All you need is one. ONE GOOD ONE! I’ll show you very soon how to use a special technique called the “probe” to make each letter seem a little different.

What you’ll also like about these smart auto-responders is that they will automatically remove people from the list without you doing anything. At the bottom of your message will be simple instructions on how to be removed from the list.

…tips on creating your follow-up sales message…

As you already know, follow-up is very important. You must hit your prospect with your follow-up message numerous times before they will take you seriously and join. Of course, not all will join. Actually, most will not. But, it’s the small number that do join that makes a difference between success and failure. At least when you implement an automatic follow-up system using a “smart auto-responder”, you now have a chance to be successful in your MLM program.

You will need to create at least one hard-hitting sales letter. You already know how to do this. Then cut and paste that one letter into the “message” input field of the “smart auto-responder”. You will need 10 follow-up messages, which can be easily created from the one sales letter you already have. But, wait, you need to make each follow-up letter seem a little different from the last one. Otherwise, people will get bored with what you send them and just delete your message automatically, or they will remove themselves from your list.

The Network Marketing Probe.

To make each follow-up letter seem different, I suggest that you use what’s commonly called a “probe.” A probe simply goes at the beginning of each follow-up letter.

…what is a probe and how to use it…

What you must also keep in mind when you work online to build your business is that people are notorious for asking for information and then doing nothing with it. People will request information on this and that, and never get back to you again. You can re-send the same information, but still never get a response. This is when the “probe” comes into play.

The “probe” is a simple one word, one sentence, or one paragraph question that asks the prospect to respond to you. It pokes them, nuggies them, or plain slaps them on the back of the head until they answer you. Let me give you a few examples of “probes” I use:

PROBE #1: “Did you get this?”

PROBE #2: “I’m still waiting for you to get back to me on this. Please respond.”

PROBE #3: “Have you read the letter below? It shows you all the benefits of our program. What questions to you have about getting started?”

PROBE #4: “I’m getting a little concerned now. It’s been 30 days and STILL no respond from you. You did get this, right?”

PROBE #5: “Everyone here in the office is SHOCKED that you haven’t joined us yet. What questions can I answer for you? Do you need assistance filling out the application? Do you have questions about our support and training? Do you have any questions at all. Please get back to me. Is everything okay over there? All you have to do is hit ‘REPLY’ on your email program and talk to me.”

PROBE #6: “STANDING BY…”

PROBE #7: “WELL?”

PROBE #8: “Okay, it looks like you weren’t serious about starting a successful MLM business. After all, I still haven’t heard a peep from you. It’s quite common for people to request information on the internet and then sit there and do nothing. You may wonder why I’m still on your back. Well, very often we request information from businesses and they just forget about us. You never hear a peep from them again. But I run a different type of business. I want you to know that I haven’t forgotten about you. As you can see, I haven’t. Talk to me. Call me at (301)555-5555 today.”

PROBE# #9: “Call me today at (310)555-5555. I need to speak to you!”

PROBE #10: “You’re making this tough. I invited you to email me…and you haven’t. I asked you to call me…and you haven’t. You continue to ignore me. Why?”

I bet you never seen marketing like this before, have you? As you can see, each “probe” is designed to drag a response from your prospect. The “probe” is designed to get some dialogue going so you can answer their objections and ultimately sign them up into your program. Will some people like this kind of “in-your-face” marketing, some will, some won’t. The ones that don’t like it will simply ask to be removed. Others will thank you for caring, and ask you more questions or tell you they are not ready yet.

What you’ll also like about the “smart auto-responders” is that you can weave the person’s first name into the probe to make it more POWERFUL. Something like:

“Did you get this Chris?”
“Chris, I’m STILL waiting for your response”
“Have you read the letter below, Chris?”

Yes, personalized probing will get people talking to you. Just cut and paste each probe at the top of each sales letter. Then, let the software do its job and follow-up for you while you do other things. One more quick thing. When you create your sales letter for use in emails or auto-responders, first create the letter in text format. Use only 60 characters per line with hard returns at the end of each line. This helps to keep your message formatted neatly.

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Success on the Telephone

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Success on the Telephone

Tom "Big Al" Schreiter here.

If you want to prospect effectively over the phone, here is how to do it. I am the worst telephone person. I hate the telephone. I am phonophobic.

The telephone just makes me nervous. In fact, several people have this joke about me: Don't get Big Al and a distributor on a three-way telephone call with a prospect.

Why?

Because not only will the prospect not join, but the mlm distributor will quit! Well, I'm not that bad, but I certainly am not the person to teach people good telephone prospecting techniques. So here is what I did.

Several years ago I took one of the world's best telephone recruiters, Tom Paredes, into a recording studio. I interviewed Tom and asked him exactly what he says and does that is so successful.

For example, Tom said: There are three primary reasons why people have a hard time sponsoring.

1. Prospects are sales-resistant and they hate to sell.

2. Prospects have a low self-esteem.

3. Prospects don't like change. Want to overcome these three obstacles? Give your prospects a set of instructions to follow. Prospects can follow instructions because that's what they do at work . . .

Anyway, you and your downline will love this interview. The entire interview is now on two CDs.

And, I also had the entire interview transcribed, so that you can download it and read every word of this 26-page interview. The transcript is completely free. You just have to go to: http://www.sponsoringtips.com and download the transcript.

MLM Network Marketing Training-Give ’em an MLM headache, then make ’em ASK YOU for the Aspirin

MLM Network Marketing Training-Give ’em an MLM headache, then make ’em ASK YOU for the Aspirin

by Joshua Shafran

What if sponsoring was as easy as selling aspirin to people with headaches? What if you created an atmosphere with every person you came across where they felt lucky you decided to show them your MLM opportunity? Where they jumped for joy if they were selected and approved for team membership. Would sponsoring become fun, exciting, and simple in Network Marketing?

If banks can do it, why can’t you? Think about it. Banks make money by renting out money, don’t they? Yet, how do we feel when we get “approved for the loan?” We jump for joy and feel lucky, don’t we? But how crazy is that? That’s like going into a supermarket and kissing the manager’s feet because he LET you buy a loaf of bread!

The Secret to Network Marketing

The secret of applying this to your networking is to make your prospect want what you have before you offer it to them. In the broadest sense, there’s only two motivating reasons why someone will join your network. They join either to gain pleasure or to avoid pain. Here’s a little known fact: More people will join your network out of a desire to stop the pain than will EVER join because of all the pleasure they’ll get. Yet, what do most MLM’ers do? They push aside the most powerful persuader they’ve got and overwhelm their prospects with why their deal is the greatest and why they’ve “got to get in on it now!”

You can easily triple your sponsoring efforts if you demonstrate all the pain that your prospect is currently living with that will cease to exist if they are selected to join your team. Now, don’t misunderstand, I’m NOT saying you shouldn’t present the benefits of your business, but your sponsoring results will go up dramatically if you use the carrot AND the stick!

So, your job (and it’s really fun once you know how to do it) is to go around giving people headaches and then curing their pain. Once a prospect knows (or admits it to him or herself) what they are missing and (more importantly) that there is, in fact, a better way – something more for them – they want a way to get there immediately!!!

They desperately want someone to provide them with the leadership and direction to change the situation. They instantly want someone to coach them… an expert to show the way… a consultant to guide them… a trusted confidant to provide advice. And, that someone is you.

The Hidden MLM Pain.

Here’s the catch (you knew there had to be a catch, right?): Sometimes your prospect’s pain is hidden. Your prospect has been living with the pain for so long that they’ve gone numb to protect themselves against it. The trick is to tactfully shake them up a little. “How?”, you ask.

Questions Are The Answers

The best way to do this is with questions. Questions allow you to step inside your prospect’s head. By asking questions just like a doctor does, the prospect tells you where it hurts and in so doing begins to feel and experience the pain again. Questions are so powerful. They allow you to lead and direct the conversation down the path you wish to go… they build trust and rapport… they make people feel important. Think about it: Who would you rather be around; the person who talks intelligently about a number of different topics while you listen, or the person who asks you a number of intelligent questions and listens with genuine interest to what you have to say?

If you simply TELL people how you have this great opportunity then they can (and usually will) doubt you. But, by asking questions and getting your prospect to TELL YOU the same thing, they BELIEVE and ACCEPT it as a fact! And, because it’s now their idea, they’ll move heaven and earth to get it.

Learning to ask questions instead of asserting statements about your MLM can take a little getting used to. At first, you might feel a little like you’re learning a foreign language, and in a sense you are. You’ve got to think in terms of questions. From now on, every time you’re tempted to tell your prospect something, rethink it in your head and ask it as a question. There isn’t any statement you can make about your MLM that cannot be rephrased and expressed as a question.

Network Marketing Questions.

If you want to get good at sponsoring, spend an entire day every so often and try not to make one statement… just ask questions and listen to the answers. If you accept this challenge, you’ll attract people to you like moths to a flame. People you just met will tell you they feel like they’ve known you their entire lives. People will open up to you. When they open up, they trust you. When they trust, they’ll tell you where they hurt and experience that pain. When they feel the pain, they want it to stop… which is exactly the opening you’ve been searching for!

When you prospect someone (be it online through a web site, email, telephone, in person, etc.) you give them a headache. You build in them an earnest desire to join and make it their idea. Every day of their life they experience some pain or frustration that your MLM opportunity will eliminate. Find it. Ask questions to uncover it. Don’t assume you already know what it is. Make them tell you. As they answer, they’ll experience that pain and naturally want to end to it. Then, casually let them know that you might (if they’re lucky) be able to stop it. Now, they WANT what you’re offering… and it was their idea! So now you’re doing them the favor and they are grateful to you.

This whole process can happen very quickly and it’s easier than it sounds. Start off by asking open ended questions that requires your prospect to explain. Here’s an example: “If you could change any aspect of your financial situation, what would you change?” Think about the idea behind this question and you will see how it can be adapted in any number of ways depending on who you’re prospecting.

If you really involve yourself and take a genuine interest in your prospect’s frustrations, you’ll come up with an endless supply of follow up questions. For example: “John, if you could change any aspect of your job situation, what would change? Are the number of hours too much? Is job security a concern? Are you on the road too much? Would it help you to be making more money? Do you find yourself less patient as a result? How does it affect your relationship with your wife? Have you saved enough to send Amy to college or will she have to wait a couple of years?”

Here’s one more REALLY good follow-up question: “If you were not working 80 hours a week and spent some quality time with your son, do you think you could have stopped him from getting hooked on drugs, stealing cars, and getting in gang fights every week?” (JUST JOKING!)

Although that was a joke, its implications are very real. Those kind of fears, pains and worries are extremely persuasive and motivating. So, for each area of dissatisfaction and pain, make sure you don’t leave out the most important question, “How does that affect you?” This will get your prospect to think about and feel the consequences of the problem (or potential problem).

Once they tell you the consequences, you’ve given them a full blown headache, now it’s time to make ’em ask you for the aspirin. Here again, use questions like “What would it mean to you if I could provide… __________?” If you fill in the blank with the benefits your opportunity can provide, tailored to what you know (from your questions) your prospect wants, and you will make them stand in line and beg to join your network!

MLM Network Marketing Training-MLM Newsletters- The Top 17 Network Marketin Training Ezines

MLM Network Marketing Training-

MLM Newsletters- The Top 17 Network Marketin Training Ezines

by Doug Firebaugh

A good MLM training newsletter is worth a million dollars to a distributor in Network Marketing. Many Network Marketing newsletters/ezines can be found out there, and there are some really good ones. But there are also some newsletters that are not so good.

What do you do? Subscribe to them all and read them for a year, and then decide yourself? (You’ve got to be kidding!)

You don’t have to. We have already done that. We subscribed to over 100 MLM training ezines, (whew!) and found some really good ones, and others that are ones we cannot recommend. (There were 14 total people that read the newsletters regularly, and the top 17 list is the consensus of the 14 people.)

What were the criteria that we used to look at these network marketing newsletters?

1)      Constant fresh and unique training content.

We looked for a consistency in content, and fresh content. Many newsletters we found ran some of the same articles in their ezine. Others changed the titles, and kept the content the same.

We simply asked this question: Is the content unique and fresh and trains folks, not just motivates them. Many ezines were a lot of motivation, but little training. There is nothing wrong with that, but if you are looking for a training newsletter, it can be a little frustrating. What we found is that many were highly motivational, but not educational.  We support motivation by all means! But we could not include them in our top 17 MLM training ezine list.

2)      Delivery of the newsletter regularly.

We found that many ezines were emailed out every once so often, and not on any kind of a schedule. We felt that if you are going to be depending on a training letter as a way to learn this business, then you need to know that the delivery of content will be consistent, and dependable.

Either once a week, or twice a month was the average delivery time of the most read newsletters, and that seems to be what people are looking for.

3)      Topics focused on for what the distributor needs to learn to succeed.

The best newsletters we found had a focus of topics that would be what the average networker would need to know to create a successful business. These topics include recruiting, prospecting, approaching people, handling objections, doing presentations, following up, closing, training, building a downline, motivating your group, leadership, personal development, doing events, new distributor training, and advanced training in MLM and Network Marketing.

Many of the newsletters were too focused on one or two topics, and never varied for a more complete training program. There is nothing wrong with that, but a total training focus is what we were looking for.

4)      The Look and Feel of the MLM  training newsletter.

Many of the newsletters were only text, no graphics, but had great content. Many of the newsletters looked incredible, but their content was very weak. We found that the best training MLM newsletters had both. Even the text ezines were well put together, and had great content. A great example of that is Tom Big Al Schreiter’s Fortune Now Newsletter. It contains great stuff and it’s all text.

The feel of the training ezine was also important. Did they come across like authority writing? Was the feel of it directing, leading,  and teaching people? Was the feel of the newsletter friendly and warm, or cold? This was another factor that was part of the over all consideration.

5)      Did the newsletter want you to tell others about it?

This was a real big consideration. We talked to some folks that had subscribed to many of them, and they all basically said the same thing: The newsletters that they were talking about were the same ones.

This was important, as the content needs to be exciting, and strong enough for people to want to tell their team about it.

These were the 5 Most Important considerations of the Top 17 MLM Training Newsletters. There were other considerations as well, like popularity on search engines, ease of subscribing, reprints on sites, etc.

What are the top 17 MLM Newsletters and Network Marketing ezines? (These are in no particular order, as all are number one MLM training newsletters!)

1)      Fortune Now Newsletter   /   http://www.fortunenow.com

2)      PF HEAT Training Letter     http://www.mlmleadership.com

3)      MLM Players Ezine              http://www.mlmplayers.com

9)      Cutting Edge Media             http://www.cuttingedgemedia.com

10)  MLM Brilliance letter            http://www.mlmbrilliance.com

11)  Club Rhino                            http://www.clubrhino.com

12)  MLM Lifestyles                     http://www.mlmdevelopment.com

13)  Golden Mastermind             http://www.goldenmastermind.com

14)  DSWA                                   http://www.mydswa.org

15)  Find Your Why                      http://www.findyourwhy.com

16)  MLM Woman Newsletter /  http://www.mlmwoman.com

17)  Leads2YourSuccess           http://www.leads2yoursuccess.com

Do your due diligence, and get archived copies of these MLM Training Newsletters, and read them and see what you are drawn towards, and want to subscribe to. These Network Marketing ezines are all great, and will help educate anyone on the Success aspects of this business.

And by the way, if you don’t care for the Network Marketing newsletter that you subscribe to, it should have a very easy unsubscribe process.

These are the best of the best MLM Training Newsletters as far as learning MLM and Network Marketing. Yes, there are great internet training newsletters out there, as well as home based business as well. But these are focused on Power learning MLM and these are the most powerful of all the MLM Newsletters and Network Marketing ezines.

MLM Network Marketing Training MLM Recruiting- The Secret MLM Prospecting Formula for Becoming 10 Feet Tall and Bulletproof!

MLM Network Marketing Training MLM Recruiting- The Secret MLM Prospecting Formula for Becoming 10 Feet Tall and Bulletproof!

by Doug Firebaugh

MLM Body Armor.

It happens everyday.

Network Marketers go out, and get shot down. And they lay in their own pool of pity and excuses, never knowing that the whole scenario could have been prevented. Network Marketing recruiting is not a hazardous occupation, but you would never know it from some folks.

That is why you need “body armor.”

Just like the kind that the Special Ops Commandos use in their operations. If they get shot at,the armor reflects or stops the bullet, and they live. You need that kind of armor in MLM, and you need to become 10 Feet Tall and Bulletproof in MLM Prospecting!

Great! But how do you do that?

Easy. It all deals with reflecting the bullets of rejection from your mlm prospects, and doing it handily. That is something that anyone can do, and anyone can succeed at, as reflecting “rejection bullets” is handled by what we call a “Third Party Recruiter.”

What is that?

It simply is a recruiting tool, CD, DVD, or Brochure, or website/webcast, or any other tool that you can use to tell the story of the Network Marketing Company you enrolled in.

All you do, is ask them if they have a few minutes, as you would like to share an idea with them, that has really helped your life.

“Do you have a cd player in your car?”

“Yeah sure.”

Could you please do me a favor, and put this in and listen to it as you drive home?” It is that simple.

All you are doing with these recruiting tools are “sifting and sorting” as they call it, mlm prospects. I call it “Rating and Separating.” You simply are rating the ones who show an interest as High, and the rest you are separating into a group for possible product purchases. Again, it is that simple.

And when you have given them a CD or DVD, and it has been a day or so, call them, and ask, “What was your favorite part about the DVD?” or “What did you like the best about the CD?” Assume they have listened to it, and focus them on what they liked best.

If they did not like it, you did not have to do a presentation, or go through the whole scenario of your mlm company. You saved a lot of time using a recruiting tool. And they did not reject you, but simply did not embrace the message that the tool shared with them.

It is called “Rejection Proof” Prospecting and Recruiting! And it can make you feel 10 Feet Tall and Bulletproof because they did not tell you NO, but told you that the CD message was not for them.

The Network Marketing Wealth of Failure.

But wait! It gets better!

You can fail 80%-90% of the time and still create a solid business with MLM prospecting tools! And you would be 10 Feet Tall and Spitting Bullets then! How would that happen?

It all deals with understanding the numbers in Network Marketing Success.

It revolves around sharing a recruiting CD/DVD/Brochure, 2 times a day with someone new. That is all. Just twice a day. We call it the “Two A Day” Formula, and lets say that you have 5 people in your group that is willing to hand out 2 CDs a day. Here is what has proven to happen:

5 people x 2 exposures a day= 10 EXPOSURES a day.

10 exposures a day x 30 days= 300 exposures a month.

300 exposures monthly x 12 months= 3600 EXPOSURES a year.

That would yield for the year about:

720 new customers (2 out of 10 prospects purchasing-20%- 20% of 3600= 720.)

180 new distributors (5 out of 100 prospects enrolling in your company- 5%- 5% of 3600= 180.)

1440 referrals (2 referrals from the 720 new customers on average. You will average selling 3 out of 10 referrals.)

What would happen to your business if THIS HAPPENED? KABOOOOOM!

You would become 10 Feet tall, and Chewing Bullets for Gum! 720 NEW CUSTOMERS! 180 NEW DISTRIBUTORS! 1440 REFERRALS! And that is with a 80% FAILURE RATE!

And all you do, is hand out 2 mlm prospecting tools a day. Thats it, and let the numbers do their work.

How simple is that? This is all we did for 10 years, and built a HUGE group, as this simple Two a Day is totally duplicable, and multiplies!

Become 10 Feet Tall and Bulletproof in your MLM prospecting, by allowing this simple system to wrap you in “MLM Success Armor” and never feel the pain of rejection again! Let the recruiting tool take the hit, as you simply take the CD back. And give it to the next person!

It is NOT all about Talent, but TOOLS! And using them as a Third Party Recruiter/Prospector will help explode any business out there. And It is REJECTION PROOF Prospecting/Recruiting!

That alone would make anyone 10 Feet Tall and BulletProof in MLM Recruiting!

MLM Network Marketing Training- MLM Secrets To Effectively Using Offline Advertising To Build Your Online MLM Business

MLM Network Marketing Training- MLM Secrets To Effectively Using Offline Advertising To Build Your Online MLM Business

By Jeff Schuman

Copyright © 2004 Jeff Schuman

First of all let me say that having spent the past 20 years working closely with small businesses I know exactly what works when it comes to offline advertising. Especially in Network Marketing.

What I have found today is that that online mlm businesses have a built in advantage when it comes to promoting their business offline. You already have a website and autoresponder in place to lead your prospect to. When you combine that fact along with the traditional capture methods of telephone and snail mail there is no reason any online business can’t use offline methods to build their businesses and sell their products and services. So check this out blog for business and marketing related all information.

A lot of online based network marketing businesses forget about offline advertising. I know I have. It is important to combine offline and online advertising together in your marketing campaign. This will give you to a more well rounded approach to promoting as well as attract potential prospects and customers you might not otherwise get.

In all your offline advertising you want to include your web site address, e-mail or autoresponder addresses, and your phone number and mailing address. This gives you the appearance of a real bonafide business.

Another thing is to start selling products for manufacturers who offer co-op advertising for promoting their products. You can read a little more about this technique in an article I wrote titled “Why Are You Wasting Free Advertising Money?” http://sites-plus.com/articles/article2.html

Finally you need to view offline marketing in MLM as a long term committment. I’ve seen businesses over and over run and ad not get the response they were looking for and quit.

This will not work offline. Or online for that matter. You need to establish a budget and stick to it. That doesn’t mean that you can’t change the ad copy if your response is marginal. It just means if you are going to run classified ads for example that you run them for a period of time and allow them to do their job.

Here are 10 offline marketing ideas. Use as many of these as possible to move your business forward.

-Classified Newspaper Ads– Place classified ads in newspapers. Local newspapers often have great advertising rates that you can take advantage of to promote your business. Here’s a great source for running classified ads. http://www.nationwideadvertising.com

-Put up flyers. They could be in computer stores, libraries, restaurants, car windshields, or anywhere you shop that allows flyers.

-Direct mail. A nice direct mail piece when done consistently over a period of time can bring tremendous exposure for your business. The biggest benefit of direct mail is it allows you to reach thousands of people at a bulk mail rate. You could not do this if you had to mail each piece individually.

-Buy time on cable T.V. It is surprisingly affordable and if you commit to a block of advertising you can develop Top Of Mind Awareness. TOMA is being there when they want or need you. If you are an affiliate or in an MLM consider doing group advertising and spreading the cost out over several of you. You can have leads routed into one phone number and divied out to all advertisers or have each ad display a different phone number.

-Pass out your CD-ROM or diskette business cards at special events. It could be at trade shows, seminars, fairs, etc.

-Get 250 free business cards here and leave them everywhere you go. http://www.vistaprint.com

-Hold a free offline class and teach people how to use their computer or how to use the internet. You could have your web site on display as an example.

-Give away promotional items such as free mouse pads. Put your advertising on the mouse pads and give them away at computer or internet events.

-Advertise in card decks. The card deck you advertise in should be targeted toward internet users.

You would also want to target your offline advertising to groups of people that will actually be interested in your MLM product or Network Marketing service. If you’re selling business books, you will want to market to business owners.

In conclusion, if you have a business that’s only based online using offline advertising to make money online is a great idea because so many people today go online to get information about products and services they are interested in, concerning MLM and Network Marketing.

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Success Secrets to Marketing Your Home Business

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Success Secrets to Marketing Your Home Business

Every successful mlm business venture implements a well thought out marketing plan. The development of a marketing plan along with financial and management plans will generally determine your success or failure in a home-based business. The fundamentals of a marketing plan are to know your customers well and to know your competitors even better.

By identifying these two elements you can develop a marketing plan that will satisfy the needs of your customers, help you understand competitors, and be aware of changes in the market that could affect your profits.

It takes planning and research to develop a successful network marketing plan. Your home-based business will not become extremely profitable on its own. A marketing plan for your home business should include the level of demand for your particular service or product, how many businesses offer the same service or product, and how you can create a demand for your product through advertising or other promotions.

Also a major consideration in marketing your home business is to determine if you can compete in quality, price and delivery of your product. Even if you use a marketing plan developed elsewhere, you still must cultivate the market by promoting your product in a way designed to attract customers and keep them.

Thorough research of your marketplace will allow you to organize your information, reduce risks, identify sales opportunities, locate potential problems, and gather basic facts about the market to help you set up a plan of action. Market research may seem time consuming but it will save you time and money in the long run.

Developing a network marketing plan for your home-based business will supply you with information that can help ensure your success. The most crucial elements of marketing your home business are to describe your target market, determine who your competitors are, a description of your service or product, what you can afford as far as a marketing budget, determining the location of the business, and a pricing strategy. All these factors combined will give you the information you need to make your home-based business a success.

Expecting your business to succeed while you sit idly by is unrealistic and unlikely to happen. You do not have to be an expert to develop and implement a successful marketing plan for your home business. Research, a sound mlm marketing plan, and effort are all you need to make your home-based business flourish.

Occasionally, a business will become highly profitable using a non-traditional approach, but proven techniques including financial and marketing plans are the best way to give your home-based business the advantage it needs to succeed in today’s competitive marketplace.

Your home-based business can generate long lasting income for you and your family if you follow a few simple guidelines. Focus on your customers and their needs, keep communicating with previously non-interested customers, make it easy for your clients to buy, answer questions fully, and provide excellent service.

This, joined with a well thought out mlm marketing plan, will ensure you a successful home business venture. Whether you develop your own unique plan or follow guidelines created and tested by others, marketing your home business can be very rewarding if you make a home business marketing plan and implement it wisely.

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Success- The Secrets to Listening Power

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Success- The Secrets to Listening Power

I’m Listening

By Kim T. Gordon

“I’m listening,” may be the catch phrase for fictional TV psychiatrist Frasier Crane, but it should also be the mantra of every successful home-based and small business owner. Listening is the single most important component of any interaction with a prospect or customer.

An effective sales meeting or call contains two components: asking questions and listening to the answers. If you do both well, you’ll build trust and rapport. By asking the right questions, you can uncover your prospect’s needs and find out what customers really want. Listen for facts, feelings, beliefs and desires, in order to respond and frame your next questions appropriately. Listen carefully and never rush. Thoughtful pauses are part of natural conversation. Many business owners find focusing on the customer in this way helps them build sales by leaps and bounds. It also takes their minds off any first-meeting jitters.

The MLM Consultant Approach.

Instead of thinking about your one-on-one meeting or call to a prospect as a “pitch,” practice consultative selling. That’s uncovering and filling needs in a friendly, non-combative and support of way. Your attention must be “outer” or “other-directed.” Your meeting shouldn’t focus on, “What I offer;” it should be about, “What you get.” Begin your conversation with an opening benefit that underscores the reason your prospect is meeting or speaking with you. Then, it’s a matter of asking good closed and open-end questions that will help you understand your prospect’s needs and expectations. It’s a sure sign your meeting’s going well if your prospect is doing most of the talking.

Before your next meeting or telephone call, it’s important to plan what types of questions you’ll ask. Closed-end questions are great conversation starters. These may be answered with a fact, or yes or no. If your company specializes in computer network solutions, for example, your typical closed-end questions might be,” Who is your present service provider?” or “Are your department’s computers networked?” Open-end questions reveal the emotions behind the answers. You might ask, “How well do you think your present computer network is functioning?”

Tips for Overcoming Objections in Network Marketing

Here are four ways listening can lead to sales success.

1. Paraphrasing

Like you, your customers or clients want to feel they’re understood. And as a good listener, you have an opportunity to demonstrate your empathy through paraphrasing — which means to validate your prospect’s statements by rephrasing them in your own words. For example, a prospect tells you he’s hesitant to switch suppliers at this time for fear of missing important deadlines during the transition. Your response might be, “I understand. Switching to the wrong supplier right now could be risky.” This communicates to the prospect that you understand how important it is to meet deadlines and that you could be the right supplier should he become convinced the benefits of change would outweigh the risks.

2. Lead-ins and Endings

These are handy verbal tools to use when paraphrasing. They further confirm your desire to understand and fulfill your prospect’s needs, and they make smooth conversational bridges. Lead-ins are phrases such as, “It sounds as if,” and “What you’re saying is…” And endings include phrases such as, “…isn’t that right?” and “…wouldn’t you?”

For example, suppose you’re a bridal consultant who is meeting with a bride-to-be and her mother. You’ve drawn them out with open and closed-end questions, and the bride’s mother has given you a long list of desires for her daughter’s wedding, plus a number of concerns about everything from the cake to the tablecloths. You might say, “It sounds as if, while we should carefully review all the checklisted items for the banquet, your main concern is that everything from the food and decor through the cake should be unique and of the highest quality within the budget we discussed, isn’t that right?” The lead in, “It sounds as if,” demonstrates you’ve been listening carefully, and the ending, “…isn’t that right?” will undoubtedly elicit a resounding “Yes!”

3. Case histories

These are stories of the ways you’ve solved challenges for clients or customers in the past. Write down enough case histories to handle the typical objections you encounter in prospect meetings. Make them short and to the point; no more than a long written paragraph each. Then memorize them.

Case histories are excellent for demonstrating your company’s ability to meet or beat the competition without directly challenging your prospect’s previous choices. The key is to listen carefully so you’ll know which case history to use. Let’s say you’re an independent manufacturer’s rep and you’re meeting with a retail prospect. The mlm prospect relates how his only problems with his present supplier are their time-consuming ordering process and high minimum per order. Your best bet would be to tell a case history that relates how another retailer benefited by your policy of low minimum orders and easy ordering by fax. By using a case history in this way, you’ll demonstrate how other retailers, perhaps his own competitors, are benefiting by choosing your firm.

4. “Just Suppose” statements

In the real world, off-the-shelf solutions rarely work. “Just suppose” statements are useful when proposing solutions that meet your prospect’s uniquely specified needs. And they combine paraphrasing, lead-ins and endings into one powerful bundle.

If you were the independent rep described above, you might say, “Just suppose you could get the same product line you’ve been happy with and easy, 24 hour ordering by fax with no minimum to buy…you’d like that wouldn’t you?’ Your prospect would respond, “Yes, I would like that.” And you’d be ready to close.

To prepare for your next meeting, write down the types of questions you plan to ask. Then make a list of the common objections and consider how you’ll overcome them using case histories, paraphrasing and “just suppose” statements. By listening carefully and proposing custom solutions, you’ll build quality relationships with your customers that lead to successful long-term sales for your new Network Marketing company.

MLM Network Marketing Training -The Secret to Getting Noticed in MLM

MLM Network Marketing Training -The Secret to Getting Noticed in MLM

Get Noticed

By Kim T. Gordon

Special MLM events are an effective and affordable way to gain high visibility for your growing firm. Couple your event with a comprehensive publicity program, and you can reach new audiences, enhance your image or brand, or even catapult to national prominence – like the tiny cheesecake company that held a pie-eating contest to raise money for a national charity and landed coverage on the Today Show.

To achieve your network marketing objectives, it’s vital to give your publicity campaign as much effort as the event itself. And it takes planning to pull it off right.

Ways to Make News in MLM.

The first step is to decide what makes your event newsworthy. Each type of media has different requirements. Magazines, including trade press, have lead times of as much as three to five months and are generally interested in advance features on industry-noteworthy events and stories about celebrities or causes, while newspapers and radio stations are looking for local angles. Many radio personalities are available for special appearances, and hiring one guarantees you’ll get lots of on-air mentions.

Television is a visual medium. So you’re less likely to gain TV coverage of a speaker standing behind a podium – unless he or she is there to make a highly newsworthy announcement – than if the speaker is met at the airport by 200 schoolchildren, for example. Because more TV crews are assigned during the week, weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. are the best time to schedule your event.

To communicate with the press, you’ll need an mlm media alert or press release and a press kit. A media alert is used to announce the event and provide specifics, including when and where it will be held, what will happen and who is involved. The function of a press release, on the other hand, is to carry news or information, and it should include facts and short quotes from key individuals. Whether you send a media alert, a press release, or both, they should each be on your letterhead, include a contact name and phone number, and conclude with a short paragraph about your company.

The Secret to Getting Press for Your MLM Business.

The goal of your mlm media relations efforts should be to acquire pre-event publicity, coverage of the event and post-event stories. If you’re planning a September event, begin working on your press list this month and contact magazine editors and other journalists to discuss advance stories.

The real secret to winning coverage is to send your information numerous times to the same media outlets over a period of a month or more. And then follow up each contact by phone to “pitch” your event.

For example, it’s best to send your media alert by fax or mail two weeks to a month in advance of your event, fax it again a week ahead, and yet again on the day of the event. Direct it to journalists who cover your field, the editor of the newspaper’s events calendar, public affairs directors at television and radio stations, newspaper city editors and general assignment editors, and the assignment desk at TV stations.

Working With the Media in Network Marketing.

During your network marketing event, have a designated media area managed by fully-briefed members of your staff who can distribute press kits to reporters. And be sure to collect business cards from the press or have them sign in.

After the event, follow up with all the reporters who attended to thank them, and send thank-you notes to those who run stories. Media that were unable to send representatives may still be interested in doing post-event stories, so be prepared with terrific photos and a summary wrap-up to distribute to select press. This persistent attention to detail and follow-up will help ensure comprehensive coverage.

MLM Network Marketing Training – MLM Home Business Realities

MLM Network Marketing Training – MLM Home Business Realities

Network Marketing Reality.

Working from home sounds like an ideal
arrangement. You don’t have to waste time commuting to
and from the office, you can be home for your children
when they come home from school, you don’t have to
answer to anyone but yourself and you can work the hours
that suit YOU, not your boss. All very well in theory.

On the other side of the coin, though, are the challenges
of working from home in mlm. Working your own hours all too often
means working all hours if you don’t set a workday schedule,
while rowdy children can become an almighty challenge
when you need to present a professional image to the
prospective client you’re speaking with on the telephone.

The fundamental key to a successful transition to a home-
based business
is to keep your business and personal lives
as separate as possible. Decide up front how many (and
which) hours of the day you’re going to allocate to your
business and stick to this schedule. What you don’t get
done during today’s business hours can and should wait
until tomorrow. Don’t succumb to the temptation of allowing
your business to encroach on your personal and family time.

One effective way to keep your business and personal lives
separate is to have separate areas of the house for each. If
at all possible, allocate a room of your house or apartment
exclusively as your business office. Make sure that all
members of your family understand that when you’re in that
room, you’re working and not available except in an
emergency. Likewise, don’t use that room for any non-work
activity such as a TV room (this is also an important point
if you intend to claim your home office as a tax deduction).

Creating Space in your Network Marketing Business.

By strictly separating areas in this way, you’ll reinforce in
your mind (and the minds of other family members) that
your office is a place of business and is to be treated as
such. Just as your family will learn to respect these boundaries,
it will also help you to “switch off” at the end of your work
day if you can literally shut the door of your office and return
“home” to your family.

There is one temptation that, if indulged, can easily blur the
line between your mlm business and personal lives.  That’s
attending to non-business tasks during the hours you have
allocated to business. Avoid leaving your office to run a load
of laundry, unload the dishwasher, clean the bathroom or
organize the kitchen cabinets … any of the myriad of things
that can assume an almost overwhelming urgency in the face
of that business task you’re putting off starting. These sorts
of distractions will only serve to keep you in your office much
longer than necessary.

Another important tip for keeping your two worlds separate
is to have separate business telephone, modem and fax lines.
Do NOT allow your children to answer your business phone.
You may think it’s adorable but trust me, it isn’t.  It’s
annoying.  Arrange for a voicemail service to take your
mlm business calls during your non-business hours. Similarly, when
you’re working, try to ensure your children are otherwise
occupied when you make business calls. The last thing you
need when trying to convince that prospective new client
that you should win his account is a screaming five year old
right next to you.

The Children Factor in Network Marketing.

If you have very young children, hire a sitter for the times
of the day or week when you know you’ll be conducting
business on the telephone. If you have older children,
deputize one or more of them to occupy younger siblings.
You might want to pay your ‘deputy’ for this service as a
way for him or her to earn some income or pocket money.
The money you spend on sitting services will be more than
offset by the new business you’ll win as a result of the
professional image you will be able to project to prospective
and existing network marketing clients and customers.

As important as it is to choose for your business something
you love to do, don’t allow your business to take you away
from your family. After all, your family was likely one of
the primary reasons you decided to work from home in the
first place.

It is one thing to be present physically. It is quite another
to be present mentally and emotionally. The more rounded
you are as a person, the more you bring to the table both
personally and professionally. The enjoyable activities you
engage in in your non-business hours can energize your
business life. So, instead of thinking about the work you
could be doing on Sunday when you’re at the beach, think
of the fun you have on that day as an investment in your
business for the coming week.

Give 100% of yourself to work during the time allocated to
work. Then shut the door on it. Your family deserves 100%
too.
