MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Recruiting- How to Recruit without Saying a Word

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Recruiting- How to Recruit without Saying a Word

In my last article entitled . How to succeed in MLM without
really trying, we discussed limiting your recruiting
efforts only to those people who have indicated a
discontent or an unwanted condition in their life.

Once the prospect indicates an unwanted condition, it will
be your impulse to pounce all over your prospect and tell
them about your great company, your great product and your
great compensation plan. You will feel a very strong urge
to overwhelm your prospect with all of the reasons why your Network Marketing business opportunity is the best thing for them to help
them solve their problem.

The minute you start selling your prospect, you run a
VERY high risk of coming across as someone who has been
poised and waiting for the opportunity to strike. You run
the risk of losing your credibility and damaging your
relationship with your Network Marketing prospect.

So, the questions is, what DO you do?

The answer is nothing .let me repeat that,do nothing!

Don’t talk about your business, your product, your company,
your opportunity. Don’t utter a single word about your MLM
business.

The best thing you can do at this point is to wait. Wait
for 24 to 48 hours. THEN you can approach your prospect with
a possible solution to their problem.

Why wait? Because waiting will demonstrate to your
prospect that you have given some sincere consideration as
to weather or not your opportunity is right for them. It
shows that you have thought about them, and their unwanted
condition. It shows that you are offering a solution to
your prospect’s problem rather than just trying to build
your own organization.

24 to 48 hours has passed since you met with your prospect
and discovered their unwanted condition, or their
discontent

Now it’s time to follow up with your MLM prospect and
demonstrate your sincere interest in your prospect’s
unwanted condition by letting them know that you have been
thinking abut them and their situation and that there may
be a solution.

You might say something like ,Hey Bob, I have been thinking
about what you said the other day about not being able to
afford a vacation this year were you kidding me, or were
you dead serious?

If your prospect confirms that they were serious, this is
where you now ask your prospect if they would be interested
in exploring a possible solution to their discontent. Say
something like If you could find a way to be able to
afford more vacations, would you want the information?

There are really only two answers here – either they would be
interested in exploring a possible solution, or they
wouldn’t. If they are not interested in a possible
solution to their discontent, that should tell you that
they are not likely serious enough about solving their
problem to be a strong candidate for your business.

Terminate the prospecting process right here, but continue
with the relationship. This way, you remove yourself from
the equation before you reach a point where the prospect
can say no to your business proposal.

If, on the other hand, your prospect demonstrates and
interest in considering a solution, simply lead them to
your marketing system.

Working your warm market leads in this fashion will help
you determine who your best prospects are, and it will lead
them to your business opportunity at the right time for
them, and for the right reasons for them.

prospecting in Network Marketing.

MLM Network Marketing Training MLM Recruiting- MLM ONLINE RECRUITING 101 for Network Marketing

MLM Network Marketing Training MLM Recruiting- MLM ONLINE RECRUITING 101 for Network Marketing

 By Doug Firebaugh

Recruiting on the Internet in MLM is very popular! Yet, there are still many folks who are hesitant to jump into the arena of the Internet. I assure you the best way of learning HOW to use the Internet is to just do it!

And if you have already chosen to be a part of the Internet culture, then we congratulate you on a decision that we believe is where you need to be. The recruiting process on the Internet is NOT unlike the process offline, you still must prospect, contact, present, follow up, get the decision, and train and duplicate. But you need to understand that there MUST be a methodical process of creating the environment for attracting people to your website and then to ATTRACT them to your Network Marketing business.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ONLINE MARKETING SECRET: There is a LIVE HUMAN BEING behind the computer monitor that you are trying to recruit. Treat them as such, and with respect and professionalism. This is one of the Foundation Secrets that you must understand.

Everybody you prospect to on the Internet is breathing, has goals and dreams and understands that there is more to life than just surviving. And giving your prospect PERSONAL attention is even MORE important on the Internet than it is offline!

You MUST understand that your emails and ALL your communication is being read by a LIVE, BREATHING, HUMAN BEING on ‘the other side’ of the computer screen. I repeat this because even though it is obvious to most people, most people on the Internet fail to ACT like it in their MLM recruiting efforts.

RELATIONSHIPS are just as important over the Internet as it is offline. Sometimes even more important, since today’s marketing methods on the Internet are not all done professionally.

Remember, the same principles hold true for building relationships on the Internet. It usually takes a series of consistent exposures. It takes time to build trust. And personalization is VERY important, especially on the Internet and MLM recruiting.

Everyone wants to be treated well, and with respect. And they also want to feel that they are special. So with your understanding that there is a LIVE human being on the other side of the computer screen. You need to create the scenario that you may go beyond the computer.

You MUST CONNECT with your person OFFLINE after gaining their interest, to create the start of the relationship, usually via telephone.

The other side of that computer monitor is a very special place that you must always keep in mind when recruiting, as that will determine a lot of where your recruiting grows, or doesn’t grow.

PEOPLE WANT 3 THINGS:

1) To FEEL they are respected for who they are and their values honored.

2) To FEEL that someone cares about them instead of just want to recruit them.

3) To establish a connection with someone they FEEL they can trust and can help LEAD them to success!

If you can TOUCH, then TELL, you will much more likely to have a viable prospect than not.

Ask them about:

Family. Interests. Success. Hobbies. Career.

We call that the ‘FISH-C Formula’ for Connecting.

EMAIL 101:

ALWAYS Use a Signature (sig) File!
This is free advertising for your company and for you. I cannot believe how many emails I still get from folks who don’t use this great feature….it will be in the ‘options’ section on the navigation bar in your email program. In your Signature File, you should ALWAYS include your name, email address, phone number and website address. Yes, include your phone number! You want to be personal right? They MIGHT want to call you directly!

PROMOTING YOUR WEBSITE:

Having a website is a MUST. Here’s a few basics about getting your own website if you don’t already have one, and how to increase traffic to generate more leads and a larger warm market on the Internet. Your advertising focus MUST be on getting people to visit your website.

Have you noticed that EVERY type of media now advertises their website? Newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, every advertisement you see or listen to now advertises their website encouraging you to visit. Why? Convenience and Culture. Everyone who has Internet access can check out your information at THEIR convenience, and it works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, is part of our Culture now. AND it’s cost effective!

A Network Marketing distributor website with PULLING POWER is a strong indication of the seriousness you and your company project, and most companies today have a website
that can be pointed to and accessed for information and links. Even though most are limited to what they allow you to do as a distributor, you still need a ‘visual commercial’ on the Internet, and company websites will work fine. And there are some HOT company sites out there.

Always CROSS-MARKET. Always advertise your website AND your phone number. This way anyone can contact you to get the information they need.

Not everyone has DSL. Some are still on dial up.  And some people will still prefer to call you to answer questions or build the personal contact that is required to form a relationship. If you have your own recruiting website, that is best. You will be able to have it designed and programmed to do exactly what YOU want.

However, it can be very expensive. There are several ‘self-replicating’ websites with pre-programmed web pages designed for recruiting out there. A self-replicating website offers EASY DUPLICATION.  You go to the website, enter some information and sign up, then you can have your own personalized version of a main website.

Many of these websites are free, and the best looking sites may not be your company’s own website. But, if your company offers a self-replicating site that is personalized, utilize it!   Get ALL your downline using this training system! And it’s great for prospecting too.

Everyone wants something FREE! Even other networkers can’t say no to at least checking out your website, and maybe your opportunity later. You probably won’t actually be selling anything from this website, but it’s a great way to increase your leads and start building new relationships. Use them as a learning tool!

One thing you must learn in recruiting on the Internet. YOU MUST DO SOMETHING!

Just do something EVERY day. Persistency and consistency are two the best skills in Internet marketing. Continue trying new advertising methods and new websites to increase traffic. Make sure you follow up with every email you receive, offer something of VALUE to them. Tell them about a great new e-zine of yours that they can subscribe to for free or some other item that keeps your message in front of them on an ongoing basis!

Having your own website will work best for bringing people off-line to online. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, strangers, everyone to visit your website. Call them and personally invite them to check it out.

Just say, ‘Hi Betty, this is David, do you have a second? Great! I need your help on something. I have a new website and I really wanted to get your input on it. I think it is something you will be interested in when you’re finished will you give me a call back so we can chat? Thanks Betty.’

How difficult was that? You MUST learn to think ‘outside the box’. Get people curious. Be personal. Then you will be more effective.  Your success depends proportionately on your activities and attitude! Most people always seem to find what they’re looking for. Are you looking for Success or failure?

Remember, learning is a continuous process and if stop learning, you stop living. Learning HOW to effectively use the Internet for recruiting does take time and effort, but YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

SECRETS TO FOLLOW UP:

In network marketing, whether online and offline, the Fortune is in the Follow Up!
If you are going to be successful recruiting on the Internet,  you MUST follow up with your interested prospects. Would you discover a gold mine and not finish the digging?

It is the same concept. So many people are afraid to complete the process because they are afraid someone will tell them ‘NO’. Here’s My Secret: It’s not the YES’s in this business that create wealth. It’s the NO’s. You will get a NO the majority of the time. But those with the biggest pile of No’s create wealth in the long run.

How you handle the No’s will determine if it will be wealth, or only a wish to be successful in your network marketing business and in life.

You are in the business of COLLECTING DECISIONS. It doesn’t matter if it is a YES or a NO. Either way, you must collect them! You MUST FOLLOW UP to collect the decision, and that is where you make your money — getting the decision. Especially on the internet.

For every 12 No’s you get, you most likely will get a Yes. Fear plays a lot in recruiting on the Internet because many folks have fear that the results they want will not happen. You generally get in this business what you expect to get.  And you generally don’t get what you don’t ALLOW to be in your life. If you collect a LOT of decisions, you will make a LOT of money. If you collect a few decisions, you will make a few dollars.

The more you follow up, the more your check will go up! Believe it or not, over 80% of network marketers NEVER follow up!

And I bet if you did the opposite, and followed up on 80% of your interested prospects you would create an MLM money machine that would create WEALTH from the Internet.

WE  DID  A  SURVEY   RECENTLY  OF  OVER  1,000  DISTRIBUTORS  AT  RANDOM,   AND DISCOVERED AN  AMAZING  STATISTIC, AMONG  OTHER  THINGS.

Less than 30% of the distributors we surveyed had a system of following up, and contacted the people on a methodical basis they had sent information to.

Less than 10% did that daily! Can you believe that?

And the answer we got when we asked them, ‘Why didn’t you follow up?’ was consistently ‘If they are interested, they would have called me.’ Most folks will not call you back because they see that as your responsibility, and many want to see how serious you are about your business.

The fortune you are seeking is not in the prospecting, not in the contacting, not in the presentation, nor the website, nor advertising (online or offline.)They all help to determine the
ultimate result. But If you don’t follow up, you will NEVER sign them up! If you just follow up on the prospects you have, you can triple your income fairly quickly. Consistent follow up when recruiting, screams LEADERSHIP!

How many folks will get excited about something that you aren’t excited enough over to call them back to seek their opinion? The CONSISTENCY in your follow up will mostly determine the consistency in your paycheck.  There is a gold mine in front of you, but you must dig. You must labor to find the gold vein that is within the mine. It is there, yet most people walk away from it laying down their shovels and fortunes, in return for an easier way to get through life and living off of the fool’s gold that other miners cast aside. Don’t lay down your shovel and accept fool’s gold that only fools will try and cash in. Your gold mine is in your list of follow ups.

There is a breathing human being on the other side of the computer monitor. NEVER forget it and you won’t be forgotten. Keep the focus on them and only on them. They will FEEL that you are sincere, personal and have THEIR best interest at heart, which probably will mean they will take you more seriously as a Network Marketing recruiter on the internet!ing Trxperts

MLM Network Marketing Training-MLM Success-The 5 Biggest Reasons People Struggle in Network Marketing

Why Do People Struggle in MLM Home Business?

Why Do People Struggle in MLM Home Business?

MLM Network Marketing Training-MLM Success-The 5 Biggest Reasons People Struggle in Network Marketing

The Many Reasons for MLM Failure.

There are many people out in the industry that are having some real struggles in their recruiting efforts, and it seems to be something that is industry wide…

Many people are saying it is the times… the economy… it was September 11… It is harder than it used to be… people have changed… many reasons I have heard…

But in reality, people are people, and always will be, and few things ever change… there seems to be something I have noticed though that is happening that can KILL your recruiting…

It seems to be happening more to the folks that have been in MLM for a while, than the new folks… and it is hurting a lot of paychecks…

There seems to be a poisonous lack of belief in what folks are doing…

And this had me puzzled, as it seems stronger than usual… and today I felt lead to write about this, and why I believe it is happening…

There are 5 basic reasons why folks are struggling today when recruiting, and it does not matter who it is, male or female, or how successful you have been or have not been.

But is also involves not only BELIEF… but also the word EASY…

Recruiting is easy, if you believe it is, and you believe in what you are doing, but if you don’t… then the fruit of that is struggle… and there are many people who use this as an excuse to ever get the results that they want… it is very convenient to but into what others are saying…

Here are the 5 reasons that folks are struggling today in Network Marketing:

1) “Its easier to Believe that it WON’T happen… than it WILL…”

That is so true… many folks fall into the trap of believing what WON’T happen… vs. what WILL… and many are sabotaged by the easier route and effort of believing…

I call it “The Path of Easiest Belief”... the path most take in this industry…

And through Life…

It is easier to hang onto the excuses that we have and believe that recruiting won’t work, than taking the time to GROW ourselves into the level of belief that ATTRACTS Success, vs REPELS it… and when you have that kind of belief, your prospect can feel it radiating from you and your voice… and presence…

Are you taking the EASY Route?

2) “It’s Easier to Believe what is considered Normal than Abnormal…”

Success is abnormal.

Most people in life don’t Succeed… they Succumb… to the Lies from other people… about how you can never build a business in MLM… only the “Lucky Few” ever get to the top… and if you do succeed… it’s abnormal… you are going against the grain…

I prefer to call it “Growing against the Grain”… you must grow beyond those “Normal people” that are holding you back…

Recruiting is a process based on Communication… and your Belief and Conviction of that Communication… and what is considered “Normal” in life…

Is easier to believe in Normal.. than what is considered “Abnormal”…

Are you just Normal… or flat out Abnormal and refuse to believe and succumb to the lies?

3) “It’s easier to believe what you have been told a lot, than told a little…”

“You will never do it.”

“It’s too hard.”

“Recruiting is bugging your friends.”

“You don’t have what it takes.”

“Recruiting and MLM is waste of time… “

“When are you going to get a REAL job?”

That is what we all hear… (smile)… but what we need to hear is:

“You can do it. You have what it takes. Listen to those who have succeeded… not those who have succumbed…”

Are you?

4) “It’s easier to believe in others… than you…”

We when recruiting, believe that others are smarter than we are, more educated than we are, more savvy than we are, and they know more about ourselves than we do… and it impacts our recruiting tremendously…

We have many people who influence us, and we care about… but here is the million dollar question…

Can they take you to where you want to go in MLM?

Or…

Can they STOP you from going where you want to go in MLM?

Both answers are called a CLUE!

5) “It’s easier to LEAVE… than BELIEVE…….”

Most folks don’t stay.

At what they do in life… and Network Marketing

Why?

In recruiting, we take this ‘Leaving” belief with us… as we see most folks leave their success path in most of what they have attempted in life…

It’s easier to create an EXCUSE… than to keep going and create a new BELIEF…… and we fall prey to that in MLM…

Are you recruiting prospects with an EXIT sign in your eyes?

Deep down… are you expecting you will eventually leave this industry , because it is easier to Leave than believe? Do you honestly doubt it will work?

Understand… people FEEL first… then HEAR…

What are your prospects feeling from you? A solid “Hard Core Belief” in what you are doing… or a solid “Path of Easiest Belief” that they are turned off by?

Believe that recruiting is EASY… and Recruiting will be… believe that is it HARD… and it WILL be…

Believing in recruiting may be a little hard for you now…but it is a whole lot easier than struggling through life…the rest of your life… just to be
“Normal”…

Is that what you REALLY want for you and your family and your Network Marketing business?

Your Call…

Blessings…

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Success- “The Power Boost for Your MLM Business.”

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Success- “The Power Boost for Your MLM Business.”

MLM GUNK.

There is something that I have been observing over the
last couple of years that seems to be a common problem
with many people in the Network Marketing industry.

Many people in Home Based Businesses and Network
Marketing
operate their enterprises today with little or
no Power of Success in them. Strategies and tactics are
very important in operating your business, but even the
best tactics of prospecting and recruiting will not yield you
the Success you seek, if you lack the power to drive them.

It is the same if your car was running on half power, and
you were expecting it to accelerate quickly, and it does not.
You get out, check the engine, and see that everything seems
ok, all the wires are plugged in, battery seems ok, you have
gas, but yet it simply will not go any faster than 20 mph.

Why?

The Network Marketing Power BOOST.

Your vehicle is lacking the “Power Boost” that it needs to go
faster, and get you to your destination. It’s pistons are not firing
all at once, the timing is off, and the spark plugs are dirty and
need cleaning, plus there is blockage in the fuel lines. Fortunately, cleaning services for vehicle are available at TotalClean Portsmouth. For booking and more details, just contact 023 9240 1860.

Your vehicle is missing, and missing badly.

Here is my question: Is there Blockage in your Success Fuel line?

Many a Direct Sales and Home Business is ‘missing” badly,
just like your car, and their Success Fuel Line is blocked
and “gunked up”. You do what you think is necessary to
Succeed, but yet, it does not go any faster…it keeps missing
and going slow…and slower…and slower.

You know what ‘GUNK’ stands for?

‘Giving Up (and ) Never Knowing (Success).’

Many people give up on ever Succeeding and then pour their ‘gunk’ into others lives and dreams, slowing down their Success Journey.

Sound familiar? Your Vehicle for Success has it’s fuel lines
blocked by the “gunk” of other peoples’ input and opinions,
and Doubt. Your Home Business is missing one of the most
important ingredients for your Success Fuel to flow.

It lacks the “Power Boost” that makes Success accelerate and show
up quicker and stronger. It will get you up that hill of struggle
quickly and successfully.

What would that “Power Boost “ be and why is it a MUST??

The Power of DECISION.

Most people have never decided to Succeed, nor get serious about their business.

Decision changes everything in Success and Network Marketing.
It changes and enlarges all the ingredients in your Success Pursuit including:

1) Your Energy and Confidence.
2) Your Body Language.
3) Your Tone in Your Voice.
4) The Look in Your Eye.
5) The Determination in Your heart.
6) Your Presence you carry.
7) How people respond to you.

How people respond to you can dramatically change when you engage
a Decision to Succeed massively in your Business. They will be more
attracted to your offer, as the new set of “Power Boost” ingredients will
be felt and heard, and people are attracted to listen to people who know
where they are going and who KNOW THEY WILL GET THERE.

Do you?

The MLM POWER Decision.

Have you made a “Power Boost” Decision to Succeed in your business,
or have you just made a choice to “try this business?” It will act like an
engine cleaner, and will flush out all that has been slowing you down,
as your Decision is focused on what YOU decide, not what others are saying cannot be done.

DECIDE TODAY. If you want to truly Succeed in your Home Business,
then you need to make a Decision of the Heart, not a choice of the mind.

“I WILL Succeed at my business, because today, I have decided, that I will not be denied.”

This one statement can radically change how people respond to you, how people perceive you, and how people follow you. Your Presence and Tone in your voice will change and become one of strength, not weakness.

This will be Magnetic to prospects. People have a tendency to be attracted to and follow people who have Decided to Succeed, not just try something to see what happens.

Where are you with this?

Plug your business into the Incredible Power of Decision and clean out your Success Fuel lines. When you so this, you may be saying the same word and doing the same presentation, but the prospect will hear a radically different message with a radically different Power that is totally MAGNETIC in MLM and Network Marketing!

MLM Network Marketing Training- MLM Success- The 5 MLM Success Factors that are a Must in Network Marketing

MLM Network Marketing Training- MLM Success- The 5 MLM Success Factors that are a Must in Network Marketing

The MLM REALITY Check.

It’s all what’s inside you adn only inside you that counts.

No marketing or comp plan will ever determine your MLM success.

No products or product line will ever determine your Network Marketing success.

No CEO or company will ever determine your MLM success.

No perosn or upline will ever determine your Network Marketing success.

INFERNO Secret:

YOU and ONLY YOU will ever determine your success in MLM….

Many people operate under the illusion that something else other than themselves will determine their success, and that is a lie. The only determining factor in MLM Success is who you look at in the mirror in the morning.

Ok….

WHY?

Why wouldn’t a sponsor or an upline determine your success? Why wouldn’t an MLM company or marketing plan determine your success?

Simple….

The only thing they could ever do, is facilitate and influence your success.

But :

INFERNO Secret:

It is not your upline’s, sponsor’s, or company’s responsibility for your success. Their only responsibility is to help create and facilitate the opportunity for your success and to increase your odds of success with training and support.

Your Success is YOUR responsibility.

Brutal?

Yep.

But the truth.

You see, there are 2 types of people who come into MLM:

1) People who are looking for it TO WORK…

2) People who are looking for it NOT TO WORK.

The most amazing thing happens:

INFERNO SECRET:

You ALWAYS find what you are looking for. No exceptions.

What are you looking for your business to do? Work or Not work? Whatever you are looking for is the picture you will find eventually in your business.

Your FOCUS on what to EXPECT is a HUGE part of your success in network marketing, and your focus always seems to be what you end up with in this industry. Focus on this business rocking and so it shall.

Focus on this business failing and so it shall.

Here is a MILLION DOLLAR MLM Question:

What are you honestly looking to happen in your business the next 90 days?

Massive Action that produces the beginnings of success, or Massive Excuses that produces the beginnings of Massive mediocrity?

It’s up to you.

The 5 Million Dollar Network Marketing Traits.

There are 5 things that you need to succeed massively in MLM, and there are no options and no exceptions. They MUST be there and engaged to the maximum!

1) “A Great Work Ethic.”

Most amazing thing — a lot of people that get into MLM think they have won the lottery and don’t have to work/

INFERNO Secret:

Many MLM distributors are looking for people who are willing to do, what they themselves aren’t willing to do.

Are you?

OUCH!

Yeah, that hurts, but it’s the truth, and most people know it. You must have a CONSISTENT work ethic, and one that is willing to do whatever it takes to succeed. Do you have that?

2) “A Great Belief System.”

Belief is what will keep you going in MLM during the tough times, and it will keep you focused as well. Do you believe you will succeed or just “hope” you will?

You MUST believe no matter what, you WILL Succeed! Because if you do BELIEVE — REALLY believe, you will.

3) “A HUNGER to Help People.”

We are a business of helping people succeed and live the life they have only dreamed of. And it is NOT ENOUGH to have a Burning Desire to succeed, you must HUNGER for it, and be starving for it.

INFERNO Secret:

Many people who have a Burning Desire, end up ”Burning in Place. They never act on it, nor do anything with it, and like being on a treadmill, they “Burn in Place” till they eventually burn out.

Are you Hungry? Or Burning in Place? Or neither?

4) “A Love for People.”

Many Millionaires in this business will tell you that you must have a love for people and love to be around them as well.

INFERNO Secret:

Hermits in this business FAIL.

Do you like people and like to be around them? Do you feel comfortable being around people you barely know? Do you like to meet new people? Do people Bug you?

You must have a love for people and a love to associate with them and transform them into who they were meant to be!

5) “ Urgent Patience.”

Now THAT is different, isn’t it? But that is what you need. URGENT patience.

What is that? You Must have a “Sense of Urgency” wrapped around a Patient attitude.

Be urgent in your actions and deeds in your enterprise, but be patient for success to show up, as it shows up in your life when the Season is right.

Be urgent in your expectations, but patient in your getting them.

Be urgent in your mindset, but patient in you heartset.

So….

Do you have these 5 things?

Do you have any of them?

You see, I don’t believe that only certain people can succeed in MLM. If you have these 5 traits, you WILL SUCCEED eventually.

Take a Hard Look at where you are with each of them. And the ones you are weak in, you had better increase them in your business and self! Network Marketing Success is ALL about YOU in the long run.

If you’ve seen Kevin Costner’s film the “Field of Dreams” you will remember how he was inspired to build a baseball field with the words “If you build it, they will come”. He built the stadium, and with a little faith, streams of visitors were coming to see his dream.

Sorry to bring you back to the REAL world but this isn’t “Field of Dreams” and you aren’t Kevin Costner. If you want visitors to your dream website and you want some measure of success online, you need to take some important steps to do so.

Without a regular supply of leads to your MLM business then you just aren’t going to make it in internet business, period.

How on earth could you?

It would be like setting up an offline business and expecting it to succeed without anyone picking up the phone to call you or walking in through your companies’ front door.

Makes sense doesn’t it?

Of course it does but the majority of Network Marketing prospects I deal with respond with shock horror when I tell them that now that they have set up their business websites they will have to buy leads or work hard to obtain them.

MLM Leads are the lifeblood of your business and a highly targeted prospect can be worth $1000s, especially if you are involved in network marketing.

The way I see it, there are a few things you need to do to qualify leads and turn them into your customers or downline.

Firstly you need to obtain them, and as I can only share my own experiences, I will tell you what I do.

1) I buy leads – This is the simplest way to get leads and obviously will take the least amount of work to do this, because you are buying them from other sources and sending them to your business. These are usually raw leads, meaning they are people interested in starting an online business but not sure how to go about it nor with which company to proceed. It is up to you to convince them to use your product or service to do this.

2) I add them to my followup system – After buying leads you MUST add these prospects to some sort of followup system. This is basic stuff and if you don’t do it you won’t succeed.

There is absolutely no point in buying leads unless you followup with them. You COULD buy them and send them one email with a link to your business. A very small % will actually visit your site, what about the rest? Adding them to a followup system with at least twelve further messages will help turn your leads into HOT prospects. Some of my autoresponders have up to fifty message with articles, tips and recommendations.

3) I send targeted prospects to my business websites from the search engines
Many of my leads come from top rankings in the major search engines. A full e-book could be written on this alone but basically I set up a domain – obtained hosting – optimised my website with keywords related to my business – submitted my site to the major search engines – added quality home business related content and began a reciprocal linking campaign which boosts my sites web ranking more than anything else. The greatest thing about these leads is they are HIGHLY TARGETED and they are of course free.

Again I have set up a web form at my sites to encourage my search engine leads to add themselves to my followup system. I can then get to work on turning them into my customers and downline affiliates.

There are of course many other forms of sending MLM customers to your website but the two above combined with an effective followup system can virtually put your business on autopilot and free up your time for other projects. They are also the most effective ways that I have found to reach a successful income.

Take the steps as outlined above and let me know how you get on.

MLM Network Marketing Training-MLM Success- Secrets to Massive Success

MLM Network Marketing Training-MLM Success- Secrets to Massive Success

Helga’s first try at establishing her jewelry store failed. After re-evaluating her experience, she opened another jewelry store. Helga is now the proud owner of three successful stores.

Helga didn’t fail in her first attempt. Failure occurs when we quit or stop trying. Helga has perseverance – “stick-to-itiveness.”

Perseverance is the key to success. After thousands of efforts to make the electric light bulb, Thomas Edison said, “I haven’t failed, I’ve identified 10,000 ways that it doesn’t work.” Mario Lemieux, Helen Keller, Abraham Lincoln, Marie Curie and an endless list of other great achievers found that success inevitably arrives for everyone who perseveres.

Acquiring a desired job or promotion, or succeeding at business may present difficulties. But this is part of the learning process. Ultimately, people who persevere become successful. They learn from mistakes.

Do you persevere? Or, after meeting rejection or difficulties, do you quit?

Test Your Perseverance MLM Quotient
Rate yourself – on a scale of one to three, one being low and three being high – on each of the following:

  1. I believe in myself.
  2. I have clear career goals.
  3. I address my limitations.
  4. I bounce back from disappointment.
  5. I have the stamina to persist.
  6. My family and friends support me in my pursuit of goals.
  7. I can adapt to change.
  8. I focus and complete projects.
  9. My goals are consistent with my purpose and values.
  10. I can take unpopular actions when I believe I’m right.

Add your scores. The higher your score, the more perseverant you are.

Tips for Persevering (In Network Marketing)

  1. Clarify your goal. Base it on your mission/passion, needs and abilities. Know why you want your goal and how you and others will benefit.

State your goal in the present. Write desired outcomes, what you want to accomplish. Be detailed, specific, positive.

  2. Intend to achieve you goal. Outline goal, strategies and timeline. Know resources that can help you attain your goal, such as people, associations and the Internet. Break the goal into small steps, working backward form your desired outcome and achievement date.
  3. Develop support systems. Meet regularly with positive, encouraging people who support your goals and celebrate your achievements. Select other sources of positive reinforcement such as books or tapes with uplifting themes.
  4. Choose productive attitudes and behaviors. Don’t dwell in the past, worry about what might happen or view yourself as a victim.

Maintain optimism. Reinforce the positive in yourself and others. Expect good things. Watch self-talk. Replace negative thoughts or statements with positive ones. Keep a diary of each day’s good experiences.

Focus on what you can do. Acknowledge your accomplishments. Judge your accomplishments against personal standards of self-improvements.

Have the courage of your convictions. Don’t change for others or compare yourself with others.

  5. Develop the will to risk. Don’t fear mistakes. Ask: ‘What’s the worst that can happen?’ Decide whether you could live with the worst or take steps to reduce the chance of it happening.

Research your goal to reduce negative outcomes. For example, interview successful people who have achieved similar goals. Learn from their mistakes.

Live in the present. Don’t worry about what might happen. View mistakes as opportunities to grow.

Let go of attachments. The more attached you are to something, the greater the fear of losing it.

  6. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Care for you mind, body, emotions and spirit. Schedule quiet times to think and reassess. Practice stress relievers such as deep breathing, exercise, meditation. Get sufficient sleep, eat healthy. Take time for fun and friends.
  7. Practice imagery. Imagine yourself living your goal today. Hold your desired outcome firmly in your mind. See, smell, touch and hear aspects of your goal. Each morning upon rising, review your goal. Repeat the process at night.
  8. Persist. Focus on goals daily. With every “no” of defeat you’re closer to a “yes” of success. If you learn from set-backs and stay on course, success will follow. Every day, at regular intervals, ask yourself whether your activities are helping you attain your goal.

Believe you’ll attain your goal. Persevere. When your mind, emotions and activities focus on your goal, you can achieve the extraordinary. (Especially in MLM and Network Marketing!)

MLM Network Marketing Training -Truett Cathy’s Secrets to Success

MLM Network Marketing Training -Truett Cathy’s Secrets to Success

Truett Cathy’s career story belongs in a collection of biographies labeled “Christian Business Leaders” or in the broader category of “Businesses Built on Religious Principles.”

In 1967 Cathy founded the Chick-fil-A chain of fast food restaurants. In building the 1,000 store chain, he explicitly relied on his religious principles. The influence of that Christian faith extended beyond the organization and operation of the business. It also included instructive examples of efforts to strike a work-life balance somewhat at odds with the surrounding commercial culture. The most notable example is the fact that Cathy insisted on closing his restaurants on Sundays.

Cathy has authored two autobiographies (1989 and 2002) which are the sources of most of the following profile. The forward to the more recent autobiography was written by Professor Frederick Reichheld, an authority on the effect of loyalty on business performance. Reichheld has studied Cathy’s company and uses it as an example of how loyalty leads to superior performance. As he puts it in the preface (Cathy, 2002, p.vi):

“(The) loyalty effect, the full range of economic and human benefits that accrue to leaders who treat their customers, operators, and employees in a manner worthy of their loyalty, is at the core of most of the truly successful growth companies in the world today. And there is no clearer case study of the loyalty effect than Chick-fil-A.”

Youth: Trials and Preparation
Samuel Truett Cathy was born in his family home in Eatonton, Georgia in 1921. His parents named him Samuel after a pastor friend, and Truett in honor of the famous Baptist evangelist George W Truett.

Cathy’s father was a farmer who had achieved some success prior to Truett’s birth. But the farming business failed in the wake of a boll weevil attack on the cotton fields. The family then moved to Atlanta where the father took a job as an insurance salesman. Truett Cathy was three-years-old at the time.

During the 1930s the Cathy family struggled to survive. Truett’s father was unable to make a decent living selling insurance so the family began to take in boarders. The renters slept two or three to a bedroom and were provided with two meals a day – all for a rent of a dollar a day. The house typically had seven or eight boarders. Ad to that number Truett, his two brothers, his four sisters, and his two parents and you have a picture of slum-like crowding in the small home with a single bathroom.

The family’s unfortunate financial circumstances turned out to be a long-run blessing for Truett Cathy. As he explained (1989, p. 37):

“Growing up in a boarding house introduced me to hard work and taught me the value of diligent labor. I learned to shuck corn, shell peas, wash dirty dishes, set the table, shop for my mother at the corner grocery store and even flip eggs and pancakes on the grill.”

That background made it psychologically easy for him to start a restaurant business later. Truett engaged in several entrepreneurial ventures as a youth. At the age of eight he began buying six-packs of Coca Cola for 25 cents and then selling individual bottles door-to-door for five cents each. Then he opened a soft drink stand in the family’s front yard.

Next he sold magazines door-to-door. At the age of 11 he began helping a friend with a newspaper route. In the process he met Jeannette McNeil whom he would marry many years later.

At the age of 12 Truett was awarded a newspaper route of his own. From 1933 to the end of 1941 he was a newspaper delivery boy. Truett was energized by the challenges of:

  • signing up and keeping customers and
  • earning a profit.

Since he bought his papers at wholesale rates and sold at retail prices, he saw the enterprise as an exercise in business management. Out of this early experience came a vision of what he would do with his adult life. In his words (Cathy, 2002, p. 31):

“My success with the paper route convinced me that I would one day open a business of my own, most likely a service station, grocery store or restaurant.”

Two other childhood experiences stand out in terms of their influence on Cathy. One was exposure to his Sunday school teacher, Theo Abbey. Truett’s father had some positive characteristics but was not able to give his son the attention and love that Truett desperately wanted. Into this void stepped Abbey. As Truett put it (Cathy, 2002, pp. 29-30):

“My Sunday school teacher recognized somehow that I had a father who never told me he loved me…. I think he sensed my isolation because he reached out to me and became a model of the loving and caring father…. Through his teaching, Mr. Abbey gave me a better understanding of the Bible, but more important, he displayed to me a loving and caring spirit. He visited Techwood Homes (a public housing facility where the Cathy’s lived for a time) often to see me and others in our Sunday school class. He also invited us occasionally to go with him and (his son) Ted to his cabin on Lake Jackson.

“In time I came to understand that I could choose the type of model I would follow in life and I chose the example of Theo Abbey.”

The second impressionable experience occurred in high school when Truett took an elective course call Everyday Living. In that course he was introduced to Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich. Here is what Truett has to say about that encounter (Cathy 2000, p.32):

“I wasn’t all that bright. I had difficulty keeping up in class and I had always carried with me a bit of an inferiority complex regarding socializing at school and I never felt confident about dating girls. But I enjoyed my work and I enjoyed the rewards of working. As I read Mr. Hill’s book, I realized I could do anything if I wanted it badly enough. His words motivated me and showed me that I live in a do-it-yourself world.”

After graduating from high school Truett went to work for the United States Civil Service where he was part of a team that repaired equipment for the Army. He eventually had 200 mechanics working under him. Then he was drafted by the Army and was given a clerical assignment. In 1944 his unit was assigned to join the fighting in the South Pacific. But before the unit could ship out, Truett developed a skin allergy which led to his honorable discharge in 1945.

Truett and His Brother Open a Restaurant
Truett’s brother, Ben, was also discharged in 1945 and the two decided to go into some sort of business together. They seriously considered opening a restaurant or a grocery store. They chose the restaurant business when a local restaurant franchiser offered to set each of them up as a manager of one of her franchised restaurants. They accepted her offer and began on-the-job training in one of her restaurants.

After seven weeks of training, the Cathy brothers were told that they could not each have a restaurant to manage but could share the management of a single restaurant. The boys felt this was a violation of the original agreement so they quit with the intention of starting their own restaurant. (Cathy, 1989, pp. 42ff)

The impetus and vision for the new business came from Truett. He pictured a short-order business open 24-hours a day. He and Ben would each work 12 hours shifts. The menu would consist of easy-to-make offerings such as hamburgers, fries and a simple breakfast selection. Once open, the new restaurant was reasonably close to the original vision.

The brothers’ image of how easy it would be to get started turned out to be far different from what actually happened. One of the few aspects of the start-up that did follow the original plan was financing. The plan was to use personal savings plus a bank loan.  There are many experienced commercial property broker which provides fantastic guide.Total startup capital was $10,600, of which $6,000 represented a loan from the First National Bank of Atlanta and the rest came from personal sources.

Selecting a location also followed the plan – in general. The Cathy brothers scoured Atlanta in search of a location that had a good flow of potential customers. They found and purchased a lot at 461 South Central Avenue in a suburb of Atlanta (Hapeville). The area was attracting new businesses, including a new factory which Ford Motor Company was building near the restaurant site. Once the lot had been purchased the boys hired an architect to design the facility in accordance with ideas which Truett had developed.

There was one unforeseen aspect of the location decision that could have caused the boys to move elsewhere. The problem was zoning. The property was not zoned for business and the Cathy brothers had failed to check this detail before buying the property. Fortunately they were able to obtain a change in zoning for the lot.

The original plan for the restaurant deviated significantly from what actually happened in the process of building the facility and procuring supplies. In both cases, immediate post war shortages caused problems that the Cathy brothers failed to anticipate. But in both cases, the boys overcame the difficulties through a combination of hard work and creative thinking.

Among the supply difficulties that threatened to derail construction plans were the following (Cathy, 1989, pp. 47-48):

  1. A shortage of nails. The boys solved this problem by going to small towns where nails in small quantities could be found and by straightening bent nails.
  2. A shortage of lumber. The boys solved this problem by finding scrap wood from torn-down buildings.
  3. A lack of reasonably priced restaurant equipment. The boys solved this by purchasing used equipment from restaurants that had gone out of business.
  4. A shortage of reasonably priced skilled labor. The boys solved this problem by doing much of the construction themselves. This involved learning how to perform such tasks as hanging sheet rock and digging footings.
  5. The major supply difficulty which could have prevented the newly constructed restaurant from succeeding was a shortage of supply of some critical items, particularly meat. The boys solved this problem by asking for help from one of the large local restaurants. That restaurant had privileged access to meat suppliers and agreed to purchase meat for the Cathy brothers. (Cathy, 1989, p. 49)

In May of 1946 the Cathy brothers opened the Dwarf Grill. It had four tables and 10 counter stools. The major menu items were:

  1. Hamburger…15 cents
  2. Bacon and tomato sandwich…25 cents
  3. Steak sandwich…30 cents
  4. Bacon and eggs…30 cents
  5. Fried ham…25 cents
  6. Pie…10 cents per slice
  7. Coca Cola…5 cents

The restaurant was open 24-hours a day, six days a week. But it closed on Sundays to give the brothers (and later employees) a day of rest combined with participation in church activities.

Soon after launching his new restaurant, Truett began courting Jeannette McNeil. They were married on September 19, 1948. They subsequently had three children: Dan, Don and Trudy (1953-1955). Jeannette immediately began working by Truett’s side at the restaurant until their first child was born. When the children were old enough, they too, became employees.

One of the values that attracted Truett to Jeannette was her strong Christian faith. In at least one way, hers was stronger than his. Jeannette had begun tithing in elementary school. Her example led Truett to also tithe. (2002, p. 53)

A Long Period of Same Site Growth
The Dwarf Grill was hard work for Truett and his brother but it was profitable from the beginning and sales increased steadily year by year.

In July of 1949, Ben Cathy died in a tragic private airplane accident. His share of ownership was inherited by his wife who sold it to Truett a year later.

In 1951, Truett opened a second restaurant using the same format and located in nearby Forest Park, Georgia. That restaurant was called the Dwarf House, a name which was also given to the original Dwarf Grill. On February 24, 1960 the Forest Park restaurant was destroyed by a fire. The restaurant was not adequately insured, so Truett borrowed $90,000 to build a new restaurant on the site. He decided to make the new restaurant a self-serve fast food restaurant in order to stay current with what he saw as the trend in the restaurant industry.

The new Forest Park restaurant opened with great fanfare but it was not popular with Cathy’s old customer base. Truett consulted an experienced restaurant owner, Ted Davis. Davis assured him that the concept would work for a different segment of the population. Davis went on to suggest that Cathy put a Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in the new restaurant and do so in partnership with Davis. Truett had great respect for Davis and was sure that the Kentucky Fried Chicken approach would be successful. But the business would have to be open on Sundays and Cathy was determined not to work on Sundays. So the Forest Park restaurant was leased to Davis and Truett Cathy was left with one restaurant – his original Dwarf House restaurant in Hapeville.

Chick-Fil-A is Born as a Product Sold to Restaurants
Fourteen years after opening his first Dwarf House restaurant, S Truett Cathy was still managing that one restaurant. But his mind was not on automatic pilot. No, he was engaged in developing a new breakthrough menu item – a special chicken sandwich. The original idea for the product seems to have originated from a boyhood experience with chicken dinners and an unexpected opportunity brought to his attention by a local poultry company.

The boyhood experience was his mother’s cooking. He recalled how popular white breast meat was in his home and he recalled how his mother had perfected a method of cooking that kept the chicken meat unusually juicy.

The opportunity presented itself when Goode Brothers Poultry Company contacted him to ask if he would be interested in purchasing scraps of boneless, skinless chicken. The Goodes were producing chicken for an airline and the process always produced pieces too small for use by the airline. Truett immediately realized that those scraps would make it easy to prepare quality chicken using his mother’s approach. So he experimented with a method of cooking and seasoning a boneless chicken breast and then serving it as a sandwich. The fascinating details of this process are told by Cathy in both of his autobiographies. (1989, 2002)

Cathy’s lengthy experiments finally resulted in a product he felt comfortable introducing at the Dwarf House. So, the sandwich was added to the menu with a great deal of promotion. Customer response was excellent, so excellent that sales of the chicken sandwich soon surpassed hamburger sales.
