MLM Network Marketing Training Avoid these 6 barriers that stop MLM customers in their tracks.

MLM Network Marketing Training Avoid these 6 barriers that stop MLM customers in their tracks.

By Kim T. Gordon

Here’s a plain fact: Marketing exists to support sales. Sure, it’s also used to create awareness and build a brand image. But ultimately if your marketing doesn’t motivate customers to take action, it’s probably not doing it’s job.

If you’re experiencing less than stellar results when it comes to getting customers to respond to your MLM marketing messages, it may be time to take a hard look at your campaign. Here are 6 factors that may stand in the way of customer response, plus tips on what to do to improve your response rates.

1. Ads Are Out Of Context

With the proliferation of specialized media, it’s easier than ever to reach prospects in the right place at the right time. For marketing success, your customers must be exposed to your message when they’re in a receptive frame of mind. Suppose you owned a landscape nursery. You’d wouldn’t place your newspaper ads in the Business section — you’d run them in Home and Garden, because readers there are more likely to be interested in landscaping their properties and would find your ad relevant. You’d follow the same principle if you used local cable TV advertising by running your ads during gardening shows, not general programming, in order to present your message in the right context

2. Benefits Are Weak or Missing

Sometimes marketing campaigns that reach prospects in the right context fail nonetheless because their message is all wrong. No matter whether you’re running advertising, sending direct mail or even placing PR, it’s vital to create a benefit-oriented message that will capture the attention of your target audience and motivate them to take action. What specific benefits will your prospects derive by responding to your marketing? Benefits may be tangible (such as saving money) or intangible (such as peace of mind) and they should help to differentiate your Network Marketing company or its products and services from competitors

.3. The Offer is Off-Target

When a campaign fails, the real problem may lie with the principal offer, such as when the product or service that’s being marketed lacks the right appeal. This can often be overcome by bundling in additional features that meet the special demands of the target audience. And if a special offer is used to motivate responses, it’s not unusual to test several different versions to find the one that pulls best.

4. The Execution Is Poor

Many forms of marketing are not do-it-yourself projects. Creation of advertising is something that should be left to experts. And even then, it’s important to enlist the right people. Some designers and copywriters specialize in direct mail and collateral materials, while others create ads for magazines. Marketing failure is often the result of poor copy or design execution. At other times the advertising or materials may look great – but they just don’t work because tried and true rules have been ignored. It takes experience to create marketing that produces results

.5. Your Marketing Is Invisible

Your prospects can’t respond to your ads or place orders on your Web site if they never see them. When it comes to advertising success, small-business owners tend to underestimate the amount of frequency required for their ad placements to be remembered by prospects, or to achieve “penetration.” The exact ad frequency required for each unique campaign will vary, but the bottom line is that multiple placements in a single publication or within specific broadcast programming are absolutely essential. And if you want to make sales on an e-commerce Web site, you’ll need an effective online advertising campaign to send MLM prospects there. It’s unrealistic to expect high traffic volume without one.

6. It’s Too Hard to Buy

No matter how compelling you make your marketing campaign, if you ask prospects to take too many steps, or if there are other sales barriers (such as uninformed salespeople or out-of-stock products), you’ll lose them. For example, suppose you send out a direct-mail package for a service business. Interested prospects respond by calling your toll-free number, but get voice mail – and most hang up. Only a few, highly motivated prospects leave messages on your voice mail. Then you call them back, miss them, and leave messages of your own. At this point it’s unlikely your prospects will return your call. Get the picture? For best results, walk through your sales process to eliminate any unnecessary actions and to make sure prospects who respond can quickly take advantage of your Network Marketing offer.

MLM Network Marketing Training -Why You can ALWAYS Succeed in Network Marketing

MLM Network Marketing Training -Why You can ALWAYS Succeed in Network Marketing

Some people believe that network marketing really doesn’t work. To put it lightly, they’re WRONG. I am going to take the next few minutes to explain to you why network marketing will always work so that the next time someone takes the time to tell you that network marketing doesn’t work you explain to them how misinformed they truly are.

Here is why Network Marketing will ALWAYS work:

Even in a strong economy people will ALWAYS need supplemental income:

The truth is most people live pay check to pay check. They aren’t able to buy the nice things that they want for themselves and their families. There is and will always be a constant DEMAND for more money.

Network marketing is a simple, part time and low risk way for full time workers to fill this need. To put it simply, as long as people need money network marketing will ALWAYS be there to fill that need.

People will ALWAYS want freedom from jobs they don’t enjoy:

Despite what you may think, there are people out there that truly don’t enjoy their job. They go to work because they have to and not because they want to. Network marketing offers a promise of true financial freedom.

The ability to leave the 9 to 5 working world. This freedom will ALWAYS be to tempting to pass up.

People will ALWAYS want more free time to do with as they please:

Did you know in a past poll conducted by Money magazine that 64% of American men and 68% of American women polled said that if they had a choice between more money and more time off they would choose the time? People covet their free time.

Network marketing offers the promise of working from home and making your own hours. Again, the opportunity to create free time will ALWAYS draw people to network marketing.

Conclusion:

As long as people crave time, moeny and freedom network marketing will ALWAYS exist.

The next time that someone tries to tell you that network marketing doesn’t work you know that they couldn’t be more wrong.

All you have to is ask your accuser 1 of 3 questions:

Do you want more money?
Do you want freedom from your job?
Do you want more time?

I guarantee they will answer yes to one of these questions. When they do they will have proved exactly why network marketing will always work!

MLM Network Marketing Training-Developing Your 30 Second MLM Commercial

MLM Network Marketing Training-Developing Your 30 Second MLM Commercial

Developing Your Verbal MLM Logo

by Gary Lockwood

The next 30 seconds may determine whether you get your funding, make the sale or establish your point-of-view!In this faced-paced, mile-a-minute world, you often have only a few seconds to get your message across. Most modern television and radio commercials are no more than 30 seconds. Where could you use an effective 30 second commercial message about your business?

These MLM mini-messages are ideal for investor meetings, networking meetings, trade shows, interviews, sales calls or any situation where you need to quickly promote your business. How do you develop these messages effectively? Think in terms of “sound bites”. Prepare your brief message just like a speech, with an opener, the content and the closing. Let’s examine each of these in more detail.

The Opening

The purpose of your MLM opening is to grab attention. You must assume that your audience is generally as busy and preoccupied as you are. So you need to first get their attention with a question, “grabber'” words, humor or an interesting visual. Using a question as an opener causes the listener to stop and think. “Do you want to change the world?” “How many new pros- pects do you want today?” “When do you want to feel good again?”

Once you have their attention, your message can help them answer the question.Grabber words are designed to startle, shock or at least cause your listener to want to listen to what’s coming next. The first sentence of this article is an example.A funny comment or an eye-catching visual are always effective ways to get the attention of your listeners in a hurry. Obviously, any of these openings must be relevant to your message, or they will confuse your listeners.

The Content

Once you have their attention, relate your main Network Marketing essage. Since you usually have only three or four sentences, you need to craft this message carefully. The most effective message is the one that states what your business can do for the listener. In other words, talk about the benefits to be received by using your product or service. Don’t say “I’m a dentist”. Say ” I improve the health and well- being of my clients. Healthy teeth help you look good and feel good”.The bottom line is that your listeners don’t care what you do. They care about what you can do for them. Talk in terms of results, feelings, benefits, outcomes, ideas. Imagine your listener with a sign on their forehead that reads “So What? What’s in it for me?” Remember, you only have 30 seconds. There will be time later to explain how you do these great things.

The Closing

Here is where you ask for action. As a result of your 30 second commercial, you want your listener to do something or think something. Ask:

When can we meet?”
“Give me your business card”.
“Call today”.

“When you think of shoes, think of The Shoemaster”. Also appropriate is your catchy tag line. The closing may be the only part of your message that your listener will remember. What do you want them to remember? So, there it is. Your miniature speech takes only 30 seconds. And it has a beginning, a middle and an ending. What can you do to make all this come out sounding and looking smooth, confident and compelling? Prepare and practice.

Prepare by writing out your message, thinking through the key elements and deciding exactly what you want your listener to be doing or thinking at the end of your message.Practice by saying your MLM message aloud. Rehearse this brief speech. Saying it aloud causes you to pay attention to the sound and cadence. Practice in front of a mirror and you will see the gestures and body language that make up such a large part of the communication.

Remember, it’s not just what you say, it’s how you say what you say that makes the difference. For your 30 second commercial to really be effective, you must act like you mean it, sound like you mean it and look like you mean it. How do others realize that you really mean what you say? They notice your enthusiasm, your mannerisms, your tone of voice, your posture.

Part of your preparation is to be consciously aware of your non- verbal communication. If possible, video yourself giving your MLM message. Replay the tape several times. Once to listen and observe the overall effect of your message. Watch it again without sound. What are you telling the audience by your posture, body language, facial expressions and your gestures?

Do you look and act like you really mean it?Replay the tape again with your eyes closed. Listen for distracting sounds such as “uh”, “ah”, “ya know” or sighs. All these things subtract from the effectiveness of your main message. In our MTV-world of excessive sights and sounds and experiences, make your point and get your message across in a well prepared, well rehearsed 30 second commercial. Think of it as a brief speech.

Mix preparation with inspiration and you’ll get a standing ovation in your MLM and Network Marketing business.

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Direct Sales Perseverence

MLM Network Marketing Training -MLM Direct Sales Perseverence

[MLM] Persistence is kind of like water. You need it if you ever are going to get something to boil.”

Thomas Jefferson

Ever watch water boil?

Is boring at first, but eventually the bubbles show up, (much like a Network Marketing business) and the steam starts, and the boiling begins. But the heat had to be consistent, and never wavering.

It is the same with the heat of success.

And the heat of Winning.

And the Heat of Victory.

And the heat of a Direct Sales Fire!

The Fire of MLM Success.

If you want anything in your life to boil, and create some HOT success in your MLM Business, then you must be consistent and never wavering.

Constant heat and Constant focus.

Either you are cooking in life…

or end up cooked.

Well????

MLM Network Marketing Training MLM Secrets- The Secret of Massive VALUE.

MLM Network Marketing Training MLM Secrets- The Secret of Massive VALUE.

What Value is in your MLM business?

There is ONE Word that prospects seem to be glued to when they are listening to a presentation, or even an approach about anything. It is the standard that all prospects measure anything they are looking at. And they are considering purchasing.

The word is VALUE.

Remember this Success Formula…

“No VALUE = No Volume.”

Volume will RARELY if EVER precede Value, and if it does, most of the time, it will not work out long term. Value is a part of our culture, and we must show value to the prospect in our Company, Products, and Comp Plan.   No Value…No Volume baby.

Let me ask you a question:

Would you buy a house that you saw no value in?

How about a car?

How about a thousand dollar suit?

Would you even buy a pair of shoes that you saw no value in?

  I didn’t think so…   Neither would I.

And no one is going to be recruited or buy a product that they see no value in for their life and future.

It’s ALL about Value. People want to know what’s in it for them in Network Marketing.. They want to know there is value for their lifestyle in MLM. Thye want Value in the Company, Products, and Value in YOU.

Give the prospect REASONS and BENEFITS to enroll in your company, or buy your product. What does your products do that bring Value to a person? What does your Business have that will bring Value to a person?

What do YOU have that will bring value to working with you?

Remember: NoValue….No Volume.

NO Exceptions.

MLM Network Marketing Training Network Marketing Training- The Network Marketing Training Ten Commandments

MLM Network Marketing Training Network Marketing Training- The Network Marketing Training Ten Commandments

By Doug Firebaugh

Network Marketing Training has certain requirements and things that are neccessary to make it powerful.

Here are the Ten Commandments of Network Marketing Training:

1) Thou shalt answer the question, “What do I do next?”

In Network Marketing Training, the new distributor must know what he/she needs to do next. This simple question has stopped many future MLM superstars in our industry, as the new distributor will get frustrated if they do not know what comes next.

It is human nature for us to want to see the next road, the next highway. So you must let the distributor know what comes next, and then what comes next after that. This follows our culture. And if you answer this question, they will get a bigger picture in their mind of what needs to be done and go out and fo it.

If you do not answer this question in Network Marketing training, you will find that people will start trying to reinvent the wheel, and attempt actions that will untimately lead to failure.

2) Thou shalt make your training duplicable. Duplication is about teaching to teach.

Your Network Marketing Training must be easy to teach, and understand. So many times, Network marketing Training is complicated, and cannot be remembered, let alone taught. It must be teachable by all, not just teachable by some. And the key to being teachable is simplicity. Also, the tasks and actions being taught to take in ths business must be duplicable as well. Complicated actions lead to complaining distributors.

Network Marketing Training must be easy, simple, and teachable. To duplicate, you must teach Mary to teach Tom to teach Lou to teach Jodi to teach Roger to teach Dean to teach Susan. If this happens, then you will find that your training not only duplicating, but multiplying your team quickly.

3) Thou shalt have the tools and manuals for learning.

Network Marketing Training must have the tools to teach and the manuals to learn. Today’s Network Marketing Training must be multi media driven, and touch all the senses.

Tools are great for learning when the distributor has time on their own to review, and master the process. Tools also are good for going over the material over and over, and memorizing what needs to be learned, and internalized.

4) Thou shalt have training that cover all phases of working this business.

Great Network marketing Training contains trainings on getting started, prospecting, approaching, presenting, handling objections, following up, and getting the decison. Also there must be training on the company, products and compensation plan.

The trainings also must include retailing the product as well as recruiting new team members. If you have these topics covered, you have the makings of a great Network marketing training.

5) Thou shalt make the training automated.

In todays’ world, you must have an online training system. That is just reality. We live in a digital world, and a website society. If your training is not online, and available 24/7, you already are falling behind. Conference call training is a must as well as this will be another vehicle to learn from.

Great Network Marketing Training is automated with text, audio, some video, and easy to access and get to on the website. Make sure your training is accessible nationwide, or even worldwide to your group.

6) Thou shalt think Hansel and Gretel in the training process.

Hensel and Gretel is a fairy tale about kids that went into the woods, and left a trail of bread crumbs to follow back home. They wanted a step by step path to get back home. Great Network Marketing Training must be step by step to get the distributor back to the Success home.

Does your training have step by step process that can be copied, mapped out, and followed? Does it contain a pattern that can be copied, and become a cookie cutter pattern? This is how it is supposed to go. You MUST have a step by step path that is a natural path, and each step builds upon the next If you do, you will find so many more of your folks enjoying Success in MLM.

7) Thou shalt have Live Trainings and and Role Playing.

Great Network Marketing Training has scheduled live teachings, usually on Saturday, and these are to teach, equip,  and motivate. These events are good for focusing your group to laser focus, and even addressing questions about what you are training on. Plus it gets everyone together and spreads unity.

Role playing you must do as well with the new distributor. This gives them “artificial experience.” And it readies them for when they go live on the calls and conversations, and prepares them in a way that classroom learning cannot. I cannot express this strong enough. Role Playing Rules.

8) Thou shalt have new levels in the training growth of the distributor.

Great Network Marketing Training contains “phases”, or “next levels” of growth. And usually they follow the path of “Basic training, “Advanced training,”, and “Leadership Training,” and even beyond that. We call that top level “Success Mastery training.”

Basic training is about how to do the business, including retailing, and recruiting.  Advanced training is about how to build a downline, effectively and powerfully. And Leadership training is about how to build Leaders. This follows a natural growth pattern of the distributor, and gives them something to focus on for the future, and to aspire and reach for.

9) Thou shalt get the new distributor up and training as soon as possible.

People learn so much quicker what they teach, then what they just hear. There are portions of the new distributor training that can be done by a new person. Get each new distributor up and teaching by the first month. And experiential training is key as well. Get the folks in groups and let them role play and experience what it feels like to do this business. It will excite them and train them as well, and the new distributor can facilitate this easily.

Why get the new distributor training quickly?

New distributors have “new distributor energy.” It will get other excited and pumped. This also will build their confidence and put them in a pesudo Leadership role. Even if it is as simple as going over the company information, do it. It will propel them  to a higher level of expectation, and self image in this business.

10) Thou shalt equip the distributor to master the training, and then let them do the training.

Your job is to get you out of the training business, and get back into the recruiting and building business. Good Network Marketing training will do this, and keep a fresh supply of new distributors learning and doing the trainings. If you have this happening, you will have accomplished duplication and mastery in Network Marketing training.

MLM Network Marketing Training Creating Killer MLM Headlines

MLM Network Marketing Training Creating Killer MLM Headlines
by David Seitz

Having trouble creating ads that pull? Fear not, with a little smart thinking you will be on your way to writing killer headlines.

Pick up a few back issues of your favorite newspaper, magazine, periodical, etc. and take notice of the advertising sections. Take note of which ads appear most often and repeatedly.

Notice the headlines? I bet some are similar and contain at least one of the following words:

FREE, NOW, HURRY, LIMITED TIME, HOW TO, YOUR

These are powerful words to use in your marketing. Do you know why ads all over contain one or more of these powerful words? Because they stop readers in their tracks, they create a reaction, simply put, they SELL!Use them in all your headlines and watch the response to your marketing. There are a few other things to consider when ranking for a city where you don’t have an address. For instance, specialization can help you to narrow down some of your competition or increase the service area radius in Google search for your key terms. One can go here for the Troubleshooting GMB tanking. Having a clear idea of what you want your web site to accomplish is important in finding the right Web design agency. These goals will allow you to better focus on the characteristics and individual qualities that each web design agency is capable of. Basically, there are four objectives that designing a web site can accomplish in basic business. The right web design agency will help you accomplish all these objectives by introducing your products to new markets and increasing the awareness of the product. A design agency should also reduce the amount of paperwork and help you gain new customers while retaining the old ones. Whichever web design agency you choose, having clear objective and goals will make the web design process go a lot more smooth. The exact details of the web design might not be known but that is why your are hiring a design agency to aid you with the task. Take the time to outline your philosophy and goals with the agency. This will ensure that the site reflects your business in the quickest amount of time. you can try these out for the #1 Rated Web Design Agency in Ottawa. It is probable that the web design agency will achieve all of the goals but planning your web site with clear objectives will show you which goal should be of most importance. As this may change, so will your web design. After determining the main objective of your web site, your goal should be finding the right web design agency that will help you obtain this goal. As time goes on you may or may not choose the same web design agency. Goals will change, as will the design needs of your web sites. It may be beneficial to utilize the web design agencies with the most experience with the certain part of web design that you are trying to obtain. Its frequently the case that somebody you chat with knows someone else who undertakes website design. The phrase website designer can range from somebody in a school office undertaking admin duties who has been selected to tweak the school website to a fully trained and skilled professional website designer. This makes it very difficult when it comes to choosing a web design agency. If you choose the wrong agency, this could mean having a website that turns prospective customers off, rather than generating sales. Nonetheless, it is completely possible to find an agency, with some research, who will produce a relatively cheap website design. Due diligence needs to be undertaken when you choose a web agency, so that you can ascertain their level of professionalism and competency. A number of questions need to be asked. Web design agencies you contact will tell you they generate fantastic work, but you should ask for a client list, complete with web addresses. If an agency is highly regarded, they will have a gallery or some kind of portfolio of websites they have designed, so you should take the time to go to these sites and see how they appear. Notice how clearly the business message comes across and how the site ranks in search engine ratings. It is a good idea to phone the design agency’s past clients to determine their feelings about their overall experience, both during the design process and after it. You may well receive pessimistic feedback, but of course you should bear in mind that there are two sides to any story, so check with the design agency to hear their side of events.

I bet you’ll be in for a surprise. It’s not hard to create killer headlines just fill in the blanks.* Get your FREE report: HOW TO GET A ______ FOR FREE

* FOR A LIMITED TIME YOU CAN GET A FREE ______

* QUICKLY boost YOUR sales with a FREE ______

* HOW TO GROW MORE ______ WITH OUR FREE REPORT

Get the idea, try writing a page full of headlines, walk away take a break then go back and revise the ones you like. Show a few of your friends, associates, partners, etc.

Narrow it down to 5 and start testing them. The ones that work? Don’t touch! You just created a killer headline. Work it until it runs dry, if it’s really killer you may find you can use it week after week and generate similar results. The reason you see the same ads over and over is due to the simple fact that “THEY ARE WORKING”!

MLM Network Marketing TrainingHow to Find, Sponsor, and Retain Leaders to Grow Your Network Marketing Business

MLM Network Marketing TrainingHow to Find, Sponsor, and Retain Leaders to Grow Your Network Marketing Business
Part III – Retaining Leaders

by Stephan Iscoe

Now you’re ready to concentrate on retaining the leaders in your organization. And this is so simple you’ll wonder why attrition is a problem.

There are three key ingredients necessary for keeping the best people in business with you.

1) The first is something we all do and that is to make sure every new distributor gets a check in their first thirty days of activity.

Make sure they are working with your duplicable systems and concentrating on the single daily activity that will earn them the most. Make certain they have all the back-office tools, training and marketing material they need to get started day one.

That first check is great to reinforce belief and build their personal story of how great the business is.

2) The second key is to maintain regular weekly contact. This can be done via phone, fax, email, newsletters, post cards, even a private internet message board or online chat. Your distributors should get something of value from you every week – a training schedule, sponsoring tip, article reprint or newspaper clipping. All of this is addition to the 1-on-2’s, 3-ways, and conference recruiting calls. Remember to send birthday, anniversary and holiday greetings.

3) The third secret of the professionals is to provide attention, recognition, and public praise. Honor your Upline mentors and edify your Successline distributors. Use your newsletters, conference calls and company events to congratulate and thank your leaders. Let them know specifically what you appreciate most about their contributions. Celebrate every achievement. Reward your leaders and let them know they are special.

That wraps up this session. We’ve covered the basic steps of Finding, Sponsoring and Retaining Leaders that will help you build a profitable and sustainable business in Network Marketing.See the following resource box for pointers to expert advice and useful tools.Don’t forget to read Part I – Finding Leaders and Part II- Sponsoring Leaders.

Part II – Sponsoring Leaders

by Stephan Iscoe

The interview process is designed to get the candidate to ask to join your opportunity. Even though you are looking for front line leaders, a happy by-product of this process is that you will also sponsor a lot of people deeper in your organization. Now let’s run through the basic qualifying interview. Use that exact term with your candidates: “Let’s set up an appointment for a qualifying interview”, or, “and you’ll get all your questions answered during the qualifying interview”.

First, we’ll look at the basic structure for the interview, then we’ll go though a typical scenario.

The nine elements of the qualifying interview:

  1. Discovery Romance Confirm Educate Qualify Take Away The Trial Guarantee
  2. Commitment

Now we’ll try the process with what many feel is the most difficult candidate – a high-level executive with no formal sales background. We’ll call the candidate, Kim, and the interviewer, You.

Kim: Exactly what is that you do?

You: Terrific question!

I don’t know if this is for you or not; but we’ll get that and all your questions answered by the end of this qualifying interview.

What was on your mind when we set up this meeting?

[Your opening statements are designed to give you control of the interview; you have put the candidate at ease with a low-risk out, set the stage for the take away, assured the candidate that their concerns will be addressed and asked the probing question – this is where you listen closely and discover what’s important to the candidate]

Kim: I’ve been in purchasing at Major Corp. for six years and feel like I’m not advancing anymore.

You: Glass ceiling?

Kim: I don’t think so; business has been flat the last few years and there’s no growth or new openings.

You: Well, you’ve done great at Major Corp. It must be an interesting field to be in.

Kim: It was more exciting at first when I got to travel.

You: Oh?

Kim: Oh, yes! (and Kim’s into a 30 minute passionate travelogue) [Now that you know what’s important to the candidate, begin the Romance by tailoring your presentation to hit the candidate’s hot buttons]

You: …and we just took our Top Executives, people like yourself, on a seven day Caribbean cruise for Leadership Training and R&R…

Kim: And you get paid to do this?!

You: Y’know, Kim, this isn’t for everybody, and I’m sure you have some questions or concerns.

Kim: I’m still not clear on exactly how you make money or what I have to actually do…

You: Let me tell you about Pat, one of the leaders in our organization and what Pat’s been doing to earn a five-figure monthly income…

[At this point you edify Pat, who is in your upline, and Educate Kim about the easily duplicable profit building activities. Let the candidate in on one of the methods of creating prospects on demand]

Kim: …and the commission checks keep coming in forever even if I stop working?

You: Does this sound like something you’d be interested in? [This is the Confirmation Step before going on to Qualifying and the Take Away]

Kim: You said Pat started part time…

You: Kim, not everyone becomes a leader in this business and most people discover their talent for it by beginning part time. And some of the best in the industry never got around to going full-time! Let’s say you qualified to start part- time, could you find about 10 hours a week to build your business?

[You’ve positioned the take away and are into the process of qualifying the candidate by finding out if they have the time, money, equipment, support, understanding, and desire to work the business]

Kim: …and my nephew said he’d come over and get me set up on the Internet!

You: That’s great! Kim, I’m looking for someone to take a leader- ship role in building a large, profitable organization. Based on your past achievements and the interest you’ve shown today, I think you could be very successful in this industry…

Kim, this may not be right for you…

[I’m sure you’ve figured out that this is the “take away” phrase – not only does it put people at ease but gives both parties a graceful out. It is also a great way to answer every objection, “Well, this doesn’t sound like a good fit for you…” In this case, we want to work with the candidate, but are playing a little “hard to get” – and if you don’t think that raises desire then you haven’t dated in a while!]

Kim: It sounds perfect for me, where do I sign?

You: In order to give you the best shot at succeeding as a part-timer, I suggest beginning on our Fast Start Qualifying Track; this is the best and quickest way to demonstrate leadership while working just a few hours a week… Does this sound like a good way to start?

Kim: I want to be on the next Cruise!

You: Terrific!

[Out comes the paperwork, pens, credit card, Fast Start gift, etc. Don’t rush this part – double check everything. Next comes the Guarantee and Commitment]

You: Kim, I’m really glad we’ll have a chance to work together – and if anytime you decide this is not the right choice for you, then I’ll refund your basic startup distributor cost. And if you decide to really build your business, I’ll be there for you; for every step you take, I’ll take one with you.

Congratulations! You’ve just personally sponsored a sharp leader who will catapult your business into the stratosphere.

MLM Network Marketing Training How to Find, Sponsor, and Retain Leaders to Grow Your Network Marketing Business Part I – Finding Leaders
by Stephan Iscoe

Network Marketing is a great business that offers many people the ideal alternative to a traditional job or business. Do you know a better way for the ordinary person to achieve independence from the tyranies of working for someone else or from the day-to-day headaches of running a business? It’s terrific being your own boss and in control of your own time and financial rewards.Sometimes the biggest problem in MLM is what to put on your business card: President, CEO, Marketing Director, Independent Agent or Queen of the World. We tend to overlook the other important roles of Envelope Licker, Gopher, Secretary, Accountant, Student, or the most important role in your company – Chief of Staffing.

(Part I – Finding Leaders)

Recruiting is the lifeblood of your MLM business; yet we tend not to treat it as a vital professional function. Most people base their efforts on some pretty haphazard MLM industry approaches. How many times have you heard, “It’s a numbers game”? The theory being that if you talk to enough folks some will try your product, some percent of those will become distributors and some fraction of the distributors will evolve into leaders.Do you know what the standard industry conversion rate is?Neither do I.How about your personal conversion rate?Out of 100 people you talk to, how many buy product, become distributors and go on to be leaders? Probably not enough. So let’s re focus our efforts. Your goal for a successful network marketing business is to find, sponsor, and retain leaders. These are the You,Inc. Division Heads. These are the people you need to apply successful traditional business methods to recruit and keep.

You’ll want only the best people on your leadership team. To attract them you need to know what they want and be prepared to deliver it.

The top people want to be associated with other successful people in the best companies.

For now, let’s assume you’ve already applied our training in branding and market positioning and that Your Company is seen in the best light. There are two things that have to happen – you have to find candidates or they have to find you.Ok, let’s look at just one way the top Executive Recruiters go after talented individuals:Always be on the lookout for above average folks – people at the top of their profession, clerks who give outstanding service, an impressive speaker, columnist, anyone driving with vanity license plates. Introduce yourself and say you were impressed with their speech, car, service, etc., hand them two of your cards and state that you would like to talk to them if they ever consider a career change or business opportunity.

Then be quiet and smile. Now it’s their move. They will either say thanks-but-no-thanks, or they will ask for more information. If they say no thanks, just ask them to hold on to your card or pass it on to another sharp friend. If they want more information, then set an appointment. Yes, resist the urge to launch into your technicolor brochures and laser-light presentation.Professionals work by appointment; even if you set the appointment for 15 minutes later, on their break, or over lunch – set the appointment. We’ll come back to the interview appointment after we examine the other scenario –

Q: How do candidates find you?

A: Handy
In order to attract high caliber folks you must be positioned and perceived as a leader with the best opportunity with the premier company in your field. You craft a Marketing Message and Customer-centered Benefit Statement that perfectly conveys your advantage over the competition. Now you will communicate this message at every opportunity and through every appropriate media. Here are a few online and offline places to deliver your message:

  1. Weekly and local business newspapers
  2. Networking Business Clubs
  3. Professional Associations
  4. Church Directory
  5. Personal Letters
  6. Talk Show Guest
  7. eMail Newsletter
  8. Online Chat Rooms
  9. Internet News groups
  10. Online Free Classifieds
  11. Billboard (“You could of stayed home today – our managers Telecommute!”)
  12. Trade Shows

Craft your ads so that they help disqualify inappropriate applicants. Your goal is to interview, qualify and sponsor high potential candidates.

Don’t forget to read Part 2 and Part 3.
