This is so true! What I’ve found to help bring what’s in my heart to my head when I pick up the phone is to first say out loud – “My Father has not given me the spirit of Fear! ” Then repeat my affirmations – “I am…. and I help….” – then start dialing!

We absolutely must KNOW that we are adding value to people’s lives. We must know that what we have to offer them will help them improve and enrich their lives in some way. If we are are thinking that we are bothering people people or taking advantage of them in some way then we really need to examine where that thinking is coming from and why. We need to feel passionately that the gift we have to offer people will add value to their life. It’s critical to be involved with a company that we resonate with and that we can be passionate about. If we don’t believe in what we are doing we will never have the passion.

So true – the PROCESS needs to be the focus, not the RESULTS. It’s so easy to jump ahead and overthink EVERYTHING…….before you even CALL!

A the car dealership waiting for my little Honda to get serviced. I am making calls. Never go anywhere without my contact list, it is my business in a book. I’m Blue-toothed up and busy as can be and feeling great. The woman next to me says, “you sure seem to enjoy talking on the phone”. I’m thinking thanks to Doug Firebaugh I do. Thanks for this blog. I am finally getting that my call reluctance is not only getting in the way of my business but actually harming someone who may need what I have to offer.The outcome is not my decisionor in my control.But,I am taking someone’s future into my own hands by making decisions for them.That is far too much power for me to accept! The call is easier.
