MLM Network Marketing Training-MLM Success- Rainmaking in MLM

The Rainmaker
by Gary Lockwood

The MLM Rainmaker.

Remember when scientists used to seed the clouds to try to make it rain? They would fly over rain clouds and dump salt pellets to try to force the rain from the clouds. I guess they figured that they could just help Nature along a bit.In my years of helping business owners and professionals discover ways to grow their business, I’ve seen many who sat around waiting for rain. They would wait by the phone, hoping a prospective client would call or come to the business. Their attitude seemed to be a combination of passive hope and resignation. They hope someone will do business with them. They hope that others will initiate contact with them. They seem resigned to whatever MLM business floated their way.Others, including some of the most successful, took positive action “to make it rain”.

These are the ones who made calls, ran ads, got out of the office to make their own contacts. Through their Network Marketing activity, these business professionals created opportunities for new business.A few years ago, my own business went through a slow period. As the MLM business slowed down, revenues decreased and demands on my time decreased, too. For awhile, I enjoyed the slower pace. Then I figured out that we were on a path to financial disaster. I realized that something had to change drastically.Verna, my wife and business partner, finally said, “Get on the phone and stir up the cosmic dust”!

So, I took her advice and started making calls. I called everyone I knew. I called past clients, old prospects, people from my old phone lists. I even called people I knew in a previous company.

Also, I got out of the office and attended business mixers, seminars and other events where business professionals (my target market) tended to show up.

Sure enough, after I started all the activity, we began to notice that the phone was ringing constantly. We were getting calls from prospective clients wanting to know more about our services.

Even more interesting, many of the incoming calls were from people we did not contact. It seemed like the very act of outbound activity was causing inbound business.Time and again over the years, I’ve seen this phenomenon. Positive action, directed outward seems to stir up the cosmic dust. It doesn’t work if the actions are directed inward. No matter how many times you count the inventory, rearrange the furniture or have internal meetings, these inward-focused actions won’t cause clients to show up or prospects to call you.

Making Rain in Network Marketing.

So what does this mean for you?

Consider a couple of things. First, brainstorm the types of outward-focused activities that are appropriate for your business. Would it be appropriate to make calls (to whom?), go visit (where?), run ads (what type, when?). Would it be reasonable to attend mixers, seminars, do some direct mailings, conduct a telephone survey, or canvass the neighborhood?

Next, pull out your calendar and start blocking off some time for these tasks. Generally, this type of business-building activity is best done in blocks of time, so pencil in blocks of one to three hours for this.Clearly, most of these actions require preparation.

To make sure you don’t make a career of just the preparation, schedule the set-up tasks on your to-do list for specific days. That way, you’re more likely to get them done

.Finally, just do it. You know in your heart that you enjoy the results of this business-building action, especially when the revenue starts to come in.

The benefits to you and your enterprise are legion. More clients, more revenue, better client relationships and happier employees are just a few of the advantages you’ll realize when you take action to make it rain.

So, what are you waiting for? “Stir up the cosmic dust in MLM and Network Marketing “!

MLM Network Marketing Training-10 Simple Steps to Get Your eBusiness Started

MLM Network Marketing Training-10 Simple Steps to Get Your eBusiness Started

by Ann Rusnak

Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need millions of dollars to have an MLM online business.

This series started with that sentence. Let’s use this sentence to end this series of low cost ways to start an online business.

The Internet is here to stay. It is changing the way we work, play and live. It has proven itself to be a viable business medium.

The Internet opens options that were non-existing a decade ago. Making it easier for people to achieve their dreams of owning their own business. The low cost entry field has enabled many to start their own online business.

A business is a business no matter where you operate it. Business and marketing basics still apply. A lesson some very well funded companies learned the hard way.

You can create an income from an online business but it won’t happen overnight. Yes you possibly could become rich, if that is your dream and desire.

BUT….just being on the Internet won’t make you rich.  You need to have a plan and you need to work it.

Here are 10 very simple steps to getting started online:

1.   You need the desire and commitment. Make your mind up that you’re going  to be in this for the long haul.
2.   Decide on a product or service.  Find something you like to do. Research it.
3.   Put a simple business plan together.  An action plan.
4.   Select a name for your Company
5.   Select a domain name for your company.
6.   Build your website
7.   Select a host for your website
8.   Put your site online.
9.   PROMOTE your online business – No spamming
10.  PROMOTE SOME MORE !!!!!!

I want to conclude this article with these thoughts:

“Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become.  Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be.” –James Allen

“We must have the courage to bet on our ideas, to take the calculated risk, and to act.  Everyday living requires courage if life is to be effective and bring happiness.”—Maxwell Maltz

“As you grow older, you’ll find the only things you regret are the things you didn’t do.”—Zachary Scott

There has never been a more exciting time to start you own business, especially an online business!

MLM Network Marketing Training The Secrets to Networking In Any MLM Event

MLM Network Marketing Training The Secrets to Networking In Any MLM Event

The right marketing strategy can help you build and maintain business relationships.

To maximize your time and energy, and make sure the contacts you make remain valuable, you need to prepare and stay organized before, during, and after each event. The keys are to be consistent in the way in which you organize your information, and keep your system up to date.

Before the Networking event

Prior to entering the room, have a specific purpose in mind. What type of event are you attending?

Networking can be done at events ranging from a formal Chamber of Commerce meeting to a dinner party. How many people do you want to meet? What type of professional or business are you looking for?

Are you looking for clients or contacts? Remember, most people have a sphere of contacts in the 200-250 range, so a contact could ultimately prove more valuable than a client. What kind of information do you want to collect—business cards, addresses, emails?

Prepare an elevator speech- a 10-20 second commercial about what you do and the specific benefits you offer. The goal of this commercial is to generate further interest. Some people will want to know more, so prepare an extended version, outlining how you help people specifically, through a program you’ve developed, a service you provide, or a product in which you have expertise.

Prepare some MLM materials that you can send to interested contacts. Have a brochure, outline of services, sample product, article, anything that you can mention during the event, and then send out.

Again, the goal of a networking event is to generate interest in your Network Marketing service or product, and maintain the connections you make. The number of contacts is not as important as the quality.

During the Networking event.

During the Networking- marketing event, you want to do three things.

First, when you interact, emphasize quality over quantity. This is easier said than done. The only way to know if someone you meet is a prospect is to focus the conversation on them ”what they do, how they do it, the types of leads they re looking for.

As Jay Levinson writes in Guerrilla Marketing, Realize that all long-term relationships are reciprocal. If you help strangers, they’re far more likely to want to work with you in the future.

Second, ask for two business cards from contacts. Offer to pass the second on to a friend or colleague that might be interested.

Third, make sure to make a note at the back of each card you receive, if you think that person can be a contact. Jot down where you met them and any reminder details, such as looking for a printer ¦opened their business last month.

If you’re collecting a lot of cards and you don’t have time to make notations, you can bend the corner of the card to remind you that this person is a definite follow-up contact. The bottom line is that the more information you have about someone, the better your chances of a successful follow-up.

The MLM Follow-up

If you’ve done your homework at the event, you should have a group of business cards and names that you can sort. Only a handful may be truly valuable, and these you want to give the MLM gold treatment. They will become part of your permanent database.

Immediately after the event, send a short handwritten notecard or letter to the contact, that briefly recaps what you discussed. Then offer to refer appropriate business to them, should it come your way.

Add the relevant contact information to your database, including information on what constitutes a good referral to that person. Also indicate whatever correspondence you have shared. Whenever you come across an article or clipping that might be of interest to your contact, send it.

Review your database regularly and frequently. Develop a keep-in-touch strategy that helps to maintain and nurture your contacts. According to marketing expert Robert Middleton, this strategy is the most important vehicle for establishing long-term business relationships.

Proper networking can make the difference between MLM success and failure. Networking is not a one-shot deal, and building relationships is key to building a successful business. By preparing for every event, organizing our information, and practicing excellent follow-through, we can massively increase our success at networking.

If you can formally integrate these principles into your marketing strategy, you ll find that you can apply keep-in-touch marketing to your daily life. Networking happens every day—at the hairdressers, a friend’s dinner party, little league game and if you can recognize and maintain valuable contacts, you’ll find your success increasing dramatically.

MLM Network Marketing Training- Will Seminars Get You Clients?

MLM Network Marketing Training- Will Seminars Get You Clients?

More Articles by C.J. Hayden
I often suggest public speaking as a powerful way to show prospective Network Marketing clients what you can do. Many professionals and consultants have built successful practices by giving free presentations to associations, businesses, and educational institutions. But what about producing your own MLM seminar, where you arrange the logistics and invite the guests? Does this work as a strategy for landing clients?

Offering a Success Seminar can be an effective means to become more visible to your target market. If you are a good (or even fair) presenter, and the right people come to your seminar, you will definitely get new customers. But to use seminar marketing successfully, you need to be very clear on your goals, and plan each seminar carefully.

The MLM Purpose.

If the purpose of your seminar is primarily to get clients, you shouldn’t be expecting to make money on the seminar itself. You may wish merely to cover your expenses, or maybe even spend a little extra. For this type of Success Training seminar, the key to making it pay off is to attract people who are good prospects for your business in the first place, rather than just filling the room.

Instead of making your MLM Success Seminar free, it’s a good idea to charge a small fee. That way, your prospective clients will perceive you as offering something of value. The fee will also discourage attendance by people who can’t afford your product or service. It’s the quality of the participants that matters, not the quantity.

If what you really want is for your seminar to turn a profit, you must recognize that by offering full-fee seminars, you are adding another line of business to your company. Operating as a seminar producer will require the same kind of planning and ongoing management as your existing business does.

It can be as difficult to make a profit on your first seminar as it was to originally launch your business. Many people won’t sign up for a seminar the first time they see it; others would like to come but can’t make the date. You’ll have a better chance of making money if you plan at the outset to offer your seminar on a regular basis. You may find, though, that this takes away too much time from your core business.

Promotion in Network Marketing

Whether the seminar you are planning is promotional or for profit, estimate your projected income and expenses before making a commitment to proceed. Base the income you project solely on the fee you will charge per person multiplied by the number of attendees you expect. Don’t include any projected spinoff business in your income estimate. If you land new business, you will still have to work additional hours to earn that compensation.

Typical expenses include design and printing of a flyer or brochure, postage, posting a notice on your website, purchase of mailing lists (if you don’t have your own), print and Internet media ads (including calendar listings), facility rent, audiovisuals, handouts, and refreshments. You should also consider the cost of your own time to design promotional materials, compile lists, compose e-mails, and make phone calls, as noted below.

In designing a snail mail or e-mail campaign for your Success Seminar, keep in mind that it is quite typical to get only one registration for every 100 pieces you mail, even with a pre-qualified list.

Subtract your projected expenses from your income, then make a rational decision on whether to proceed. If the purpose of your seminar is to get business, estimate how much spinoff business is likely. Before going ahead, ask yourself if there might be an easier or cheaper way to get that many new clients or contracts.

Making Money in MLM.

If your purpose is to make money, divide your expected profit by the number of hours it will take you to design, market, and deliver your seminar. Is that amount a reasonable level of compensation for you?

If your best guess at the numbers tells you that producing a seminar makes good business sense for you, go for it! Because people do business with those they know, like, and trust, seminars can help you build a solid client base. And because repeat contacts raise awareness, mailings and ads about your seminar will generate more visibility for your core business.
