MLM Training- The 7 Habits of the Hugely and Highly Paid Network Marketers
June 13, 2008
Huge!
If you look at the people in the MLM Network Marketing industry making at least $50,000.00 a month- and I have a LOT of friends that are making that, you need to sit back and observe what they do. When I was running and gunning, there were certain things that we did that I noticed that just about everyone of these foks are doing. Many people teach that you need to prospect, and recruit, talk to people, bla-bla- bla.
But what do the WEALTHY do in network marketing that most do not? If you REALLY study the highly paid people in net.working, you will find some interesting observations.

I research and study a lot- or at least when I have time, and I have found there are 7 Habits that the Highly Paid Networkers seem to have, and we can all learn from them.
Ok- what are these 7 things?
1) The Habit of Studying.
You read that right. They study. They study this industry. They study Leadership. They study Success. They study Communication. They study Human nature. They study the Social Media phenomenon. They study Marketing.
Why?
They know they need to be at the cutting edge of information and they do not want to be left behind. They GET IT- this IS a business and treat it as any other CEO of a successful distribution company would.
What are YOU studying? Do YOU have a Success Library like most of these rock stars do? May I suggest that you develop a time to study at least Success and Leadership. You will be glad that you did.
2) The Habit of Pattern Interrupt.
These folks interrupt their daily living patterns- on purpose. They go to a different bank branch to meet new people. They shop at a different grocery store. They visit stores they never have been in before.
They change their pattern of life to intersect with other people’s patterns they would meet no other way.
Did you GET THAT? READ that again!
They simply understand that if they go to different places on a regular basis, they will meet new people on a regular basis.
So will you.
3) The Habit of Reaching out to others via snail mail.
Yep. You read that right. Most of these folks use snail mail to communicate and encourage. They send out hand written notes to people who need enouragement. Who need a boost. Who need some form of belief in them. They reach out for one reason:
TO STAY CONNECTED.
They understand human nature and the art of connection. And these folks when they connect- they CONNECT and stay connected. If you do this one thing- you will build an army of loyal distributors/consultants, as well as friends that will do anything for you when you ask.
4) The Habit of Prospecting Multitude.
What is that? These folks have a multitude of ways they propect and gather leads. They do it face to face. They do it online. They do it in groups. They do it in webinars. They do it on conference calls. They do it via email. They do it via Twitter. They do it via Facebook. They do it via skype.
And the list goes on and on.
The reason they have a multitude of people in their group- they have a multitude of ways to gather leads and they have thousands doing the same.
They have one prospecting focus: Do it ALL and bury themselves in leads.
One girl I was talking to recently went on a “prospecting binge” as she calls it and gathered 1200 leads in 7 days. And- she is working them hard. She makes 54,000 a month, but she wants to make that a week.
She will.
5) The Habit of Natural, Normal, and Non- threatening.
This habit is about being normal in your approach and conversations, natural in your communication, and non-threatening in your asking for someone to look at your business. This is a HUGE problem with a lot of folks. They ATTACK people when they recruit them- and do not even know they are doing it.
Be Natural- be yourself. Be Normal- talk about normal things up front in the conversation. Be Non-threatening in your tone of voice and totally agenda-less. Be warm, be focused on the prospect- not what you can get out of it. And be totally helping. That what the Highly Paid Networker does.
So should you.
6) The Habit of PACE.
The Highly Paid Network Mark-eter has a certain PACE they move at- and they do not vary. They have a daily plan- and they work that plan at a pace that pushes them- but does not overwhelm them.
It always has been- 1) God first. 2) Family second. 3) Business third. Just about ALL these folks keep that in line so they can enjoy the fruits of their work. (No- I am not preaching- just observing.)
PACE stands for : Powering Accelerated Consistent Effort.
What is the pace you work at? Most of the folks works full time. But they told me when they worked part time, most worked 10 hours week- and found 10 people who did the same. And those 10 found 10 people who did the same. And those people found 10 people who did the same.
1000 people in your group- not bad for part time!
7) The Habit of the “Un-comfort Zone.”
Most people that I talked to STAYED out of their comfort zones. One friend calls it the “Un-comfort Zone.” I LOVE what Rick says- “If you are always comfortable, you are not growing nor forcing yourself to become bigger and better. I force myself to learn new ways to do this business. New ways to lead, and new ways to succeed in network marketing. THAT is what Leadership is all about.”
Amen.
Are YOU forcing yourself to STRETCH and learn new things? Are YOU forcing yourself to do things that challenge you and your skills in this industry? I would encourage you to do that.
Learn a new uncomfortable way to prospect. Learn a new uncomfortable way to approach people. Learn a new umconfortable way to do a presentation. Learn SOMETHING that is so uncomfortable you break out in a sweat thinking about it.
Then engage it without thinking. As Nike says, “Just do it.”(tm)
Your growth then will be on track as the “Highly Paid” are, and you will be in an Elite Group of people in Network marketing!
blessings…doug
