In this world of the home business entrepeneur, it is critical they build a team that can duplicate and multiply the efforts of the sponsor. That is much like a real estate broker. It has a feel of “mentoring” and “selection” at the same time. But there are 5 KEY Elements to Sponsoring Success that need to be looked at.

These KEY elements are critical for any kind of recruiting Success.

1)  Someone who is dissatisfied with where they are.

If someone is totally happy with where they are in life, and is not wanting anything else in life, odds are you will not sponsor them that easily. Part of the sponsoring process is someone feeling that something is missing. Something is lacking. If they do not feel that, then odds are, they will be too “content” to look at a business.

But the opposite can happen on occasion. If a person is happy, but wants more out of life then you have someone who can be sponsored fairly easily, providing your products and company are what they are drawn towards.

Be sure your prospect is dissastisfied somewhere. If they are not, you may find you are talking to a wall.

2) Someone who is Ambitious.

If you are talking with someone who is dissatisfied, but yet has no desire to do better, then you have a content dissatisfied  person. They are happy seemingly being dissatisfied and it gives them a great reason to complain.

But if someone is ambitious, they will let you know right off the bat. They will say they want more out of life and you can feel it in their tone. This is a great person to sponsor. Ambition drives people.

3) Someone who has a good contact list.

Many people come into this business with contacts. But it is NOT a good list to call. Most are either broke or unwilling to do what it takes to grow beyond where they are. You need to understand that a good contact list contains people who are willing to look at a new idea, are willing to try a new product, and willing to help someone out with a new business.

If they have 1000 names, but they are all whiners and complainers who refuse to change what they are doing in life, you have a 1000 people who are not good prospects. Make sure you ask, “Tell me about who you hang out with…” or “Tell me about people you know who are Successful…” You can learn a lot about who they know.

4) Someone who has CREDIBILITY with their list.

If a person does not have any credibility with their list, then they do not have a very strong list. They have a bunch of names that do not want to help them out. I have seen HUGE lists- and the person has no credibilty with the list and they do nothing to help the new distributor. Names are priceless- as long as the person holding it has some credibility with the people.

Ask, “If we called some friends together, what type of response would we receive?” This will tell you a lot. Especially when you do it.

No cred= Weak List.

5) Someone who is willing to open up their list and contact them one at a time.

Many people have great contacts. They are respected by their list of names. And they have credibility. But they want to start off with the cold market.

Stupid.

Yes, the cold market is great, but it is a learning curve that is steep. A new distributor/consultant needs to understand that the prospect must be willing to open up their list to call and to make appointments either over the phone or face to face. I do not care where they came from- Facebook, Fastpitch, Twitter, or your neighbors. If they are not willing to open up their contacts TO contact- you are going to have an interesting time in sponsoring them.

You can always tell. They say, “I will call my friends when I have become successful.”

Again, nothing wrong with the cold market. I worked it for years. But I cut my teeth on people I knew to get the FEEL of it. If your prospect does not want more out of life, is not ambitious at least a little, has a weak list and then no cred with that list- and even has a great list and cred - but will not open it up for this business, you will have a challenge with them.

Been there done that. May I suggest you follow these 5 Key elements and gauge people  when you are talking with them by listening and asking the right questions about what they want, and who they know. It will help your Network Marketing Home Business accelerate tremendously.
