MLM Leadership Training- In MY Opinion- There are Too Many Egos

This post may upset some people. But oh well. The Truth is the Truth, so here we go.

Egos.

What a nasty word. And I unfortunately see it all over the industry of Network Marketing.

Let me be clear- I am not talking about the good kind. The silent kind that drives people to Success and beyond. I am talking about the out of control kind that I see taking advantage of people over and over. It happens with many distributors in the industry, as well as many trainers and speakers. Especially trainers.

I believe that this industry is about YOU and the distributor. NOT the sponsor or some out of control ego soaked speaker who goes on for a half an hour talking about how great he or she is and all the things that they have gone through and accomplished (which most are smoke and mirrors.) And people actually fall for their line of BS. (Belief Systems.) Yes, a testimonial is nice and needed, but not a 20 minute infomercial like so many do.

How about a little humility and honesty? That would be refreshing! Someone sent me an email by someone recently and I nearly threw up. It was basically saying ”You can be like me you poor swine- and all you have to do is send me your checkbook…” type of attitude.

(Smile) I do not think God put us down here on this earth to “puff ourselves up,” but to lift everyone else up. So let’s get rid of the 20 minute ego-mercials and start doing 20 minute “encouragement-mercials” and lift the people up that are looking to you and all other Leaders for Leadership.

And this post may not apply to you, as you may “Get It.” Life is about lifting other people up- not yourself. It is about focusing on GIVING- not taking.

Leadership is about making the person feel better about themselves, not feel better about you.

Trash the Ego and change it to a Leadership “Here WE go!” Do the industry a favor.
