We must be able to accept constructive criticism and change, but not allow ourselves to be derailed by negative people or naysayers. If we are to be leaders, we need to show leadership by standing up for our convictions, pressing on and doing what we believe is right. Be the example!

    I have seen in my own experiences since starting the Mastermind, people I converse with are responding to me differently… It’s fascinating to experience!

      I’m feelin’ ya, Tim!! I have noticed a DEFINITE difference ~ all that I come in contact with have shared a genuine interest in what I have to say. Everything that Doug has shared and taught, causes us to claim OWNERSHIP. Ownership of oursleves. Ownership of our direction. Ownership of our business. Such OWNERSHIP is hard NOT to notice.

          If I were to sum it up in one word, Tim, it would be ASSURANCE. That’s what I have found, after dealing with some Generational Thinking and Heart Set issues that Doug has addressed, is ASSURANCE. You’ve got to set yourself free from doubt and timidity for people to have a “genuine interest” in what you have to say….and that’s what I had to do. When you know, that you know, that you KNOW deep down, get rid of stinkin’ thinkin’, and surround yourself with positive affirmation….then there is a BOLDNESS that takes over. Assurance is a certainty – not to be confused with pride – but a HUMBLE confidence.

    You must OWN your DECISION to generate the power to IMPACT and MOVE People when you are in conversation with them.

    Just curious, whats has your DECISION generated for you in how people “feel” you?

  7. I love the idea of complimenting someone. I appreciate it when someone says something nice about me. BE GENUINE. That is how they will feel it, too! And as Doug said…then they are more likely to listen.
